Moot point. Look at it this way, you file for a divorce you lose the right to dictate who your former spouse hangs out with (relationships with children are slightly different). If she (Blondie) did not enter the house or lawn how would this have became an issue other than with SZ being there. Possibly had she (SZ) not dicked around the entire day at the house the situation would not have occurred. It looks to me like someone wanted a confrontation.

Hardly a moot point in matters of the heart. I suspect SZ filed for divorce in large part because of blondie or whoever else is in the picture. Possibly had he (GZ) not dicked around with other women, the situation would not have occurred, either. The best way to drum up a confrontation with the wife you dumped for someone else is to parade the someone else around the wife. You don't engender loyalty in someone by dumping her for another woman. This ain't rocket science.

I don't know why GZ went outside his marriage, but it would appear he did. Now he is dealing with the consequences, imo. He should've kept it zipped, filed for divorce himself, and moved out of Shellie's father's home immediately. The route he took instead is just adding to everyone's heartache.

It matters not to me why Shellie is upset or why she is going off half cocked, acting like a scorned teenaged drama queen. What smoked it for me was that she went to that awful Traybot Christina woman who is writing a book that will surely be part & parcel of the scheme teams narrative. She has joined the scheme team. I don't for a minute buy that she still loves him in any way shape or form. She was there and saw what they did to him for a year & a half. To give them one ounce of fuel can not be considered love or anything even remotely close to it. She has tried awfully darned hard to feed his butt to the sharks. Try as you might, this ain't no harlequin romance novel. Shellie is a vindictive, cold, wintch. George would do well to never speak to, text, or lay eyes on her again.
Nothing in those videos show a woman even slightly scared. Her voice in the 911 call was calm...until she saw the woman. :eek
And MUNG-I think i may know what you meant by your earlier comment, and perhaps I would agree. But I am a woman, and many other women see this for what it is.

And that brings us all back to the point of who had the allotted time scheduled to be there, and was SZ supposed to be there or not? I believe that the released texts show that GZ avoided the house for most of his allotted day to avoid such a situation.
Saying that had he not dicked around with other women the situation would not have occurred is a lot like saying "had he not gotten out of the car".
I am not condoning cheating, but I am stating that implying a direct causal relationship between that and the actions that occurred is at best slightly misleading. My statement about dicking around in the house for the afternoon was at least based in the same immediate timeframe as the incident and was directly involved in the matter. (no SZ present if not her allotted time and there is no issue)

I am not trying to pick a fight with you. I respect your views and can see where you are speaking from, I understand the emotional side as well. But I cannot completely wash SZ hands of this matter as some seem to be able to.

It sounds to me like George needed to get his stuff that day. Shellie had Saturday, then Sunday, then encroached on Monday as well.

Monday was "George's Day" and yet he stayed away all morning. I guess by around 2:00PM he figured Shellie SHOULD be done finally... and he simply HAD to get his stuff on the day arranged.

It was at least "unfortunate" that Shellie was there, and IMO it was intentional... just being awkward (guess on my part). I do not easily jump to conclusions about set-ups and conspiracies... but it looks like Shellie was trying to provoke George and was well prepared with witness (her dad) and ipad to record it.

I think Shellie needs a much better divorce lawyer... who will NOT hold press conferences... but will quietly negotiate an equitable (simple) settlement of the joint assets (and debts). I expect this to be done via letters between lawyers.. and not seen by anybody other than those lawyers and the two involved parties.
I suspect that Shellie may have other ideas... about notoriety, revenge, and maybe a book deal. I hope I am wrong.

So we were having a discussion on Click Orlando today about the Zimmermans needing a reality show. So I had written this up and it is getting good response there and I thought I would share it here.

This week on "Keeping Up With the Zimmermans" Shellie Boo Boo has a temper tantrum and George builds some duck calls. After a long discussion Shellie Boo Boo insists that she is not going to take on any sister wives. Next week the Zimmermans and the Martins will be transported to an island where they will live in a house together and try to solve a mystery and whoever wins will be the next Food Network Star.

Thanks for posting my comment here Rumpole. There is so much about this that really bothers me. First and foremost is, Shellie wasted no time sending screen shots of her text msg's with George to Christi O'Connor who we all know is writing a book and makes claims that her book will have information on George no one knows of yet. Seeing how quick Shellie sends her things, I suspect this book will be mainly from everything Shellie tells her. That is where HLN got all their info from on Monday night for all their shows. Does anyone not wonder why HLN immediately had a full line up for all their shows Monday night all about this with screen shots and all? Look at the time on Shellie's screenshot to O'Connor! 6:10pm. That's 50 Minutes before HLN nightly shows start. By the time they aired, they had all the screen shots to show.

It's interesting that O'Connor's very first tweet was at 5:11 am Monday morning tweeting her "extended version" of her interview with Shellie. She proceeds to tweet a link to the interview to $ybrina and the Scheme team saying things like Trayvon wasn't George's first victim. Here's her twitter https://twitter.com/ztrialchristi

As far as I am concerned, this entire thing was a set up. Shellie set the entire stage. If you read the report, read what Wes says and then watch the security video again. Wes' story is the one that matches the video. It was David Shellie's father who went for George. George walked out of the garage and David continued to follow him. Even when George and wed walked to George's truck, they all still followed George. People in fear of being shot, don't follow the person they claim they were in fear of. Let's not forget, Shellie told two different officers two different stories, First she said she heard her father yell and ran to the garage to see his glasses on the ground and he said George hit him, then she told another officer she witnesses George hit her father in the face.

As for George having an affair, do we know for a fact she is George's girlfriend? Just because she was there, doesn't make her a GF. My husband has many female friends and I know he isn't sleeping with them. Who's saying it's his girlfriend? Oh that's right it's Shellie who has already proven herself a liar through all this.

I am willing to bet, the black guy that was standing around doing nothing, was there as a look out for Shellie. Which is why her dad came out real quick when George got there.

Thanks, Froggie... (or is it legs?) :cool

Makes sense to me. As I said... Shellie being awkward at the very least.. and I think you may be right it was more than that. It was a set up to get GZ to react with witnesses and vid cam present. NOT unheard of tactic by SOME divorce lawyers I would guess, and plenty of other schemers with an interest in a hyped up narrative.

So... you believe your husband about no affairs..... as Regan said trust ... but verify? :cool

Yes, he should have been long gone out of Seminole County for his safety. It think Shellie's father was trying to get the house ready for new tenants. If it was only a year's lease that was probably already up.

To liesel, froggie, janc, murderbythebrook et al

Thank you for understanding and seeing what is really happening to Shellie, liesel, especially and those of you speaking up for Shellie's reasoning behind all this. I share your insights. I was very hard on Shellie a while ago, when she went public. But why is she doing what she is doing?

You guys have it right. There is much I could add in her defense. I am grieved by all of this. All your personal experiences have helped me make sense of this.

If I have a little time, I will post some of your entries here on RT as a new thread on my blog, if that is okay:

Great forum, Rumpole. Thank you all for all the thoughtful insights.

This article sums up Shellie's presser. Apparently we were not the only ones not impressed with Sims. How bad is it when even the media who would like nothing more than to see George hang by his short hairs (can I say that here?), rips him apart? He really did Shellie no favors.

Shellie Zimmerman news conference called 'bizarre' by media

Shellie Zimmerman and her attorney stepped into the spotlight of her husband's notoriety Wednesday — and it was harsh on her lawyer, Kelly Sims.

In a news conference outside his Orlando office, Sims was rambling and full of references: George Zimmerman, Shellie's husband, was analogized to Clint Eastwood, and Sims also mentioned the Tower of Terror theme-park ride, the Batmobile and famed Las Vegas act Siegfried & Roy.

The news conference came days after a domestic incident involving the couple, during which Shellie Zimmerman said her husband behaved threateningly and punched her father. Police are still investigating.

WESH-Channel 2 initially broadcast the news conference live but soon cut away abruptly as Sims was still speaking.

"If you were looking for any clarity on the situation that took place on Monday ... you are clearly not finding it here," anchor Jim Payne said. "This is one of the most bizarre displays I think I have ever seen."

Reaction wasn't any better on Twitter.

"I am strangely reminded of the first time I ever heard the term: Hot Mess]," tweeted WFTV-Channel 9 anchor Vanessa Echols.

"This is the strangest press conference I have ever seen," People magazine's Steve Helling tweeted. "And I live in Orlando, so that's saying a lot."

Attorney and legal analyst Alisia Adamson added: "Kelly Sims just used a circus analogy. Very appropriate, because this entire situation is a circus!"

When the news conference concluded, Payne's co-anchor Martha Sugalski tweeted: "applause just erupted in our newsroom."

Thanks Froggie.... "Told ya so" early on into the thing live.

Wow! Did not realize that WESH thought is so bizarre that they cut away rather than show the rest of it :95

It is a bit disconcerting having the MSM agreeing with me :eek

You CAN say "short hairs" :cool

You're welcome and I forgot how to make tweets show up here so thanks for that. The only way things are going to quiet down is if the police stress the message that they may charge Shellie for making false reports. Shellie going all Trayvonite on us isn't helping anything, well, except for the Estate of Trayvon Martin.

Regardless, I can't understand why it would take so long to retrieve the data on the flash drive. If they don't have the equipment to read from it then I would assume all they would need to do is get another iPad and put the flash drive in it but then again we are talking Apple here so god only knows, lol.

On a TiVo, recordings are tied to that unit's unique TiVo Service Number, and if you put the hard drive in another of the same model TiVo (with a different TSN, 'cause that's what unique means), you can't access the recordings even though the unit will boot up.

I don't know if Apple does the same with the flash chip storage on the iPad or not, but I wouldn't put it past them, and that would mean that they either have to get that same iPad functional again, or find a way to fool the flash chip into thinking it's in the same original iPad, so that could account for the possible long time accessing the video.

Thanks Untron... that all makes sense to ME .. so you must have explained it well. :)

However... What with terrorists and worries about how accessible "private info" is....I would hope with all these devices and Memory cards etc... that some LE agency somewhere has the technology to access all this stuff without too much bother.

Supposedly Shellie calls 911 on her own cell phone and gets enough across that they send the cops before she gets cut off from a the battery giving out.

Wonder if we'll ever get to hear that call?

Then she borrows her father's phone and calls back, and appears to get the same operator. Wonder what the odds of that were?

I wonder if we'll ever get to see a time synchronized surveillance footage with the second call audio overlaid?

And we know from that second call that the police are already there before she becomes aware of the blonde sitting in Zimmerman's truck, and apparently she doesn't know who it is and therefore has no more idea what her relationship to George, if any, is than we do.

But it seems to freak her out as much as if not more than the prospect of her and her father getting shot.

Apparently other video from that same surveillance camera was also available and copied. I'd sure like to see it as well.

And I'm still wondering about the guy in the pickup with the trailer across the street who I think is the city employee who gets out of his truck and then instead of conducting any of the city's business just stands there and watches through the rest of the video.

Were they hollerin' at each other loudly enough to have grabbed his attention that far away?

He must not have heard anyone say anything about shooting, because he doesn't make any move to take cover.

I don't work for Apple and I've never had any of their stuff to take apart to see how it would have worked, so I don't know if they lock down stuff like that or not.

Removing the flash chip from an iPad looks like it'd be a lot less trivial than taking the hard drive out of a TiVo--actually it looks like it'd be more like a more difficult version of swapping out the chip on a TiVo that holds the TiVo Service Number back when there was a separate, accessible (sort of) chip for that.

So on the "security through obscurity" premise, it's perhaps less likely that Apple locks things down that way.

But then again, we are talking about Apple, and they do tend to have their own idiosyncratic way of doing things.

The lynch mob mentality is not helping George or Shellie. The press are sharks. They need to avoid them like the plague.

You might have missed my question previously: O'Mara wasn't a witness to the incident, and is not George Zimmerman's attorney for any matters regarding the incident or the separation/divorce - thus George would not have consulted with O'Mara about the altercation.

So: how would O'Mara have any first-hand knowledge of the altercation, and why would we assume that something is true simply because he said it?
