What percentage of that $100,000 is going to be quietly laundered and slipped into the accounts of Trayvon's mercenary, race baiting, estranged parents?
Just thought I'd ask.

The National Council of Churches, calling itself “the leading force for shared ecumenical witness among Christians in the United States,” is charging the jury in the Trayvon Martin case, defendant George Zimmerman, Americans and churches with racism.
But as it turns out, the organization has gotten into serious trouble for making that same claim in the past.
“In the wake of George Zimmerman’s acquittal of the murder of Trayvon Martin, the National Council of Churches joins other people of faith and conscience in a renewed call for racial justice,” she said. “This summer as we commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation and the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington, we are reminded that racism is alive and well. We have seen this in the Supreme Court’s recent invalidation of parts of the Voting Rights Act and now in the shocking impunity granted by a Florida jury to a man who stalked and killed a black child.”
There was no mention that the evidence showed Martin attacked Zimmerman and bashed his head against a concrete sidewalk, causing Zimmerman to fear for his life and fire his gun in self-defense.
I realize WND is not exactly a widely respected source across the political spectrum and I admit, it's a site I very rarely read. However, I thought y'all who regularly donate to religious charities should be aware of how some of your donations may be used.

Yes, and according to one of the potential jurors said in jury selection that she didn't want to be on the jury because she knew she'd be walking out of the courthouse with a bulls eye on her back. I have no doubt all the other PJ's knew the same thing.
It appears TrayParent's petitions aren't pulling in the "millions" of signers as their original petition. I'm not sure what the need is to have 2 petitions.
I see they are using the Dunn case for more propaganda.
"Sadly, other cases such as the senseless killing of Jordan Davis, have shown that our son’s death was not an isolated incident, and that the insufficiently articulated self-defense laws can encourage and enable violent aggressors to kill people, including children."
Maybe they couldn't amend it after a certain time so as to add more propaganda? I also noticed they weren't getting signatures at nearly the prior pace, but it's still much, much too high. Thanks for the heads up on the 2nd one. Those people are so un-freakin'-believable, and disgusting; un-freakin'-believably disgusting.
One of the petitions is posted in full here so no need to click on the link. I'll edit this post in a bit to add the other and get stats as of today. BRB

Change for Trayvon: Stand Your Ground laws must be reviewed
Petition by
Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton with Change for Trayvon
Last year, our son Trayvon Martin was stalked, chased down and killed by George Zimmerman, and Zimmerman faced no punishment whatsoever. That's in large part because Florida is one of at least 21 states with some form of 'Stand Your Ground' law, which enables people like George Zimmerman to claim self-defense.
We're calling on 21 governors whose states have some form of 'Stand Your Ground' laws to review those laws and amend them so that people who instigate conflicts -- people like George Zimmerman -- won't be able to use these laws to get away with murder.
'Stand Your Ground' was never meant to give aggressors the opportunity to get away with murder, but that is what happened when our son, Trayvon Benjamin Martin was killed. After Trayvon's death, law enforcement used the law as an excuse to refuse to arrest George Zimmerman. Even worse, the jury in the case was instructed to think of what Zimmerman did as self-defense, even though Zimmerman ignored instructions from the police and instigated conflict with our son, who was just trying to get home to his father.
We are shocked and heartbroken by the jury’s decision to allow our son’s killer to go free. Despite our despair, we must honor Trayvon’s legacy by doing all that we can to protect other young people from being targeted, pursued, and senselessly murdered.
We are not the only ones calling for 'Stand Your Ground' laws to be reviewed. President Obama spoke out on the need for review, and prominent Republicans like Senator John McCain have joined him. This is not a Democrat or Republican issue, it’s not ‘black’ or ‘white’ issue, it’s a wrong and right issue. This is a matter of making sure that no other family will ever have to go through what we have been through. No parents should ever have to know what it feels like to watch your child's killer walk free.
Here in Florida, we are pushing for an amendment to Florida's 'Stand Your Ground' law. Sign our petition to call on all at least 21 governors to review their laws and consider similar amendments so that they can protect children in their states, just as we wish Florida would have protected Trayvon.
We want to say thank you to all of you who have stood up for our son. Because of all of your efforts, Trayvon’s life is celebrated all over the world. Please continue to stand with us as we fight to ensure that his legacy is to leave behind a safer and more peaceful world for all our sons and daughters.

I'm writing you today to ask that you support a review of your state's "Stand Your Ground" law.
President Obama spoke out on the need for review, and prominent Republicans like Senator John McCain have joined him. Some Stand Your Ground laws have had unintended consequences, like protecting those who are the aggressors in confrontations that end in death.

Petitioning The FL State Senate 2 Florida Legislature: Amend 'Stand Your Ground' to its original intent
'Stand Your Ground’ was never meant to give aggressors the opportunity to get away with murder, but that is what happened to our son, Trayvon Benjamin Martin, who was stalked, chased down, and killed without any criminal consequences. Please join our efforts to ensure that no other family has to go through what we have gone through, not only to have our child stolen away from us, but to then also have to watch his killer go free.
The national, and even international outrage over the acquittal of our son’s killer led everyone from President Obama to Republican Senator John McCain, to come together and call for ‘Stand Your Ground’ laws to be reviewed to ensure that they are not so open to abuse that they encourage violence and make people feel unsafe in public places.
Florida State Senator Chris Smith and Rep. Bruce Antone have already introduced bills HB 331/SB 136, amending ‘Stand Your Ground’ with language that clarifies the original intent as articulated by former Governor Jeb Bush, who signed ‘Stand Your Ground’ into law and said regarding our son’s killing that, “‘Stand Your Ground’ means stand your ground. It doesn't mean chase after somebody who's turned their back”.
Unfortunately, this important bill died in committee in May. But Sen. Smith is re-filing his bill so we can still show the Florida State Legislature that we want this legislation passed.
Sadly, other cases such as the senseless killing of Jordan Davis, have shown that our son’s death was not an isolated incident, and that the insufficiently articulated self-defense laws can encourage and enable violent aggressors to kill people, including children.
Please stand with us as we call on the Florida State Legislature to amend 'Stand Your Ground' to reflect it's original intent as articulated in HB 331/SB 136 and make Florida a safer place for us all.

Hi, seeing_eye! Nice to cyber-see you!
Oh, yes; I find it hard to believe that any of the jurors or pjs weren't aware of that danger. I mean, why didn't they speak publicly after the verdict if they weren't worried?

Don't miss Michelle Malkin on Hannity taking on Al (may he be prosecuted fully and soon) Sharpton posted in the political snippets thread here.
Through the Trayparents™, TM™'s legacy may be taking down at least that race huckster, if not the entire BGI. I agree with Malkin - this is a turning point.

Trayvon Martin’s parents meet with federal authorities in Miami BY JAY WEAVER
The parents of Trayvon Martin and their lawyer met with Justice Department prosecutors and FBI agents at the U.S. attorney’s office in Miami Wednesday to discuss the status of a criminal civil-rights investigation into the fatal shooting of their teen-age son last year.
The federal investigation, which was opened while George Zimmerman faced prosecution for the death of the 17-year-old, gained renewed interest last month after Zimmerman was acquitted in state court of Martin’s killing in a Sanford gated community.
Prosecutors with the Justice Department’s criminal civil-rights section and FBI agents from Central Florida met with the late teen’s parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, and their attorney, Benjamin Crump, to bring the family up to speed, according to sources familiar with the meeting. [...] So experts said it would be legally inconsistent for the Justice Department to consider filing criminal charges against Zimmerman under the federal Shepard-Byrd Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009. Generally, that law prohibits someone from “willfully causing bodily injury” to another person because of his race, color, religion or national origin.

Generally, that law prohibits someone from “willfully causing bodily injury” to another person because of his race, color, religion or national origin.
But Obama and Holder run the DoJ, and like their other sock-puppet special prosecutor who perverted evidence and law to put Zimmerman on trial for 2nd degree murder, they're capable of subverting the Shepard-Byrd provisions to find a way to put him on trial again. They're under pressure to bring him to trial, and it's not going to be easy for them to back away now. This, for instance, was in today's news in L.A.
LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles City Council is scheduled to vote today on a resolution calling for a federal investigation into the shooting death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin.
Los Angeles Councilman Bernard Parks, the city's former police chief, introduced the resolution last week, saying a federal probe could "bring some closure" following the acquittal of neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in the gunshot death of the 17-year-old boy.
The verdict in the Zimmerman case sparked protests in Los Angeles that at times grew violent, and community leaders organized groups of "peace monitors" tasked with maintaining calm.
Parks' resolution was drawn up at the urging of Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable President Earl Ofari Hutchinson, who said last week that the city should become one of the first in the nation to officially support a federal probe.
The Justice Department has acknowledged that it has an open investigation into Martin's death. Last week, it issued a statement saying multiple federal agencies, including the FBI, "continue to evaluate evidence generated during the federal investigation as well as the evidence and testimony from the state trial."
But federal action against Zimmerman appears unlikely. During a speech earlier this month, President Barack Obama said that "it's important for people to have Advertisement some clear expectations" about the prospect such action.
"Traditionally these are issues of state and local government ... and law enforcement is traditionally done at the state and local levels, not at the federal levels," the president said
