But to be honest, Allia is halfway right... I already know the answer to my questions. But I am NOT coming here to troll. Far from it. I disagree with most of what I read here, but I'm just trying to figure out WHY you all believe what you believe. Based on much of what I'm reading, it seems to me you really don't know some of the actual facts of this case. When I first heard about this case, my first reaction was the same as yours: George was a flat-out racist, wanna-be cop who was patrolling his neighborhood just LOOKING for trouble. When he saw the little black kid, he took pleasure in gunning him down and then pretending it was self-defense. And then his buddies on the police dept helped cover it up. That is what I believed... at first. But since then I've come to realize the truth is about 180 from what we were originally (and are still occasionally) fed.

So anyway, here, I'll answer my own question: There is NO evidence that George was told to stay in his truck. There is nothing on the NEN that shows that, and no other person (including cops) have made an official statement to that effect. In fact, it can be argued that the dispatcher unwittingly ASKED him to get out of the truck. At one point he says, "Just let me know if this guy does anything else." (he says that twice) Then later, after GZ says, "He's running", the dispatcher asks, "He's running? Which way is he running?" It is only at that point that we hear the door open and he gets out. And a few seconds later he starts quickly walking in the direction Trayvon had gone. Once the dispatcher realizes that, and asks if he's following, George says "yeah", and the dispatcher says, "We don't need you to do that." (which by the way is NOT an order, and the dispatcher has no legal authority anyway) To this, George replies "ok", and within a few seconds, he STOPS. That is clear from what we hear on the NEN call. For the next nearly 2 minutes he talks calmly to the dispatcher, OBVIOUSLY not involved in any kind of "following" let alone a "pursuit". What happened in the minute or so from the time he hung up till the time the altercation started, we don't know. But what we DO know is that from the time George lost sight of Trayvon to the time he finished the NEN call, Trayon had WAY MORE than enough time to get home... if that was his intention. And on the other hand, from all the actual and circumstantial evidence we have, it's clear George did NOT want an up-close confrontation.

Alright, I figure this will get me banned, even though I'm trying to be polite and only stating what I believe is the truth and the facts. But rather than just attack me, it would be nice if you can debate the points I've made here, rather than just continuing with you've been doing so far. If even just one of you learned anything from what I've said, then this was worthwhile.

Regarding reports like the one above, in regards to O’Mara & West seeking out information on Trayvon Martin’s character, I believe the question really comes down to this; What did Trayvon think of George and could he have purposefully with intent to harm gone back to where he ran from in order to assault George? And most importantly, why?
