Message from Tommy....

Image

Tommy's Math is a bit shonky (wrong election data)... I already did the math and it was 9.2% last time..

Quote:
But... in North West, 2014 election, the last seat awarded was based on 160,644 votes (Total 1,754,687 votes cast 9.2%)
IF turnout similar in 2019......Tommy may well require similar 9.2% (175,000 votes) to gain a seat in the North West.

Tommy's team maybe looking at 2009 election? Nick Griffin (BNP) got a seat with 132,194 votes out of total 1,651,825 (8%)

But the point still stands :cool

Doctor Sargon went to Gloucester,
To explain his point of view
He refused to appease Jess,
Oh what a mess
He wouldn't even go back again

Fuck, she's ugly!! I wouldn't even take her to the pictures. (at night)

The owner of the UKIP Gloucestershire website has taken it down, citing the nomination of Carl Benjamin for their reason. :wall

Now the registered owner of the UKIP Gloucestershire website has taken it down temporarily.

In a statement on the website it said: “The registered owner of this domain will not under any circumstances countenance any support for Carl Benjamin aka Sargon of Akkad for the position of Member of [European] Parliament for the South West Region.”

#WestonSuperMare: "Racist jokes are racist!"
(and Sargon has a small dick)

Corbyn has only got one ball
Farage has two but very small
Sargon's dick maligned as similar
But poor Jess Phillips has no dick at all

That’s where the BBC is filming Question Time. Do you think they’ll let me in the audience? I doubt it, but that’s no problem. I’ll be outside the Pyramid Arts Centre for a very special campaign rally at 7 p.m.
And I'll be at the shopping centre in Warrington from 12 and on.
I hope to see you there!

2nd May - 2019 United Kingdom local elections

A total of 8,804 councillors are expected to be elected: terms are up for 8,773 seats, but five elections for a total of eight seats have been postponed due to the death of a candidate; there are also casual vacancies to be filled: 38 in England (including on nine councils with no other elections) and one on Dundee City Council in Scotland.

RESULTS - SKY NEWS

Voting is taking place to elect more than 8,000 councillors in 248 English councils.

Northern Ireland voters are choosing almost 462 councillors in 11 councils.

One hundred-and-fourteen councils will begin their counts when the polls close at 10pm.

Results from these authorities will be declared from midnight onwards. The remaining authorities begin counting on Friday.

Midnight to 1am
Seven councils are racing to be first to declare with Conservative controlled Basildon and Broxbourne and Labour-run Halton and Harlow among the favourites.

The early-declaring councils are strong Brexit-voting areas. Electoral turnout is bound to fall - these elections were last fought on general election day 2015 - but how far? A massive drop, into the 20-25% region, and this becomes the "stay at home" election.

1am to 2am
Another 11 declarations are due, Sunderland amongst them. UKIP is contesting every ward here, but the omens are not good for Nigel Farage's former party.

They are on course to lose more than 150 seats overall and the party is fortunate Mr Farage's new Brexit party is not contesting these elections.

2am to 3am
The pace begins to quicken as 30 councils post their results.

3am to 4am
But if losses are half that the Tory spin machine goes into overdrive.

4am to 5am
It would be rather embarrassing for the prime minister if Conservative councillors in her own backyard of Windsor and Maidenhead were to lose seats to a brand-new party - The Borough First which only formed last year.

5am-8am
The stragglers will take us through until the close of part one, including a fascinating battle in Stoke on Trent where Labour launched its campaign.

I'll post some sort of summary of Local results here

It looks like UKIP is doing OK(ish)...

Labour losing... Conservatives also (not so much?)

For example.. Labour holds Sunderland, but suffers loses
Image

From the Express link....

Local elections 2019 vote LIVE: Conservatives suffer HUMILIATING defeats in key councils
(And yet I see more losses for labour, even where they retain seats)

Labour losses because of position on Brexit, Sunderland leader claims

UKIP asks 'where's Nigel?'
Quote:
Talking on BBC, UKIP's Mike Hookem says his party are back and "doing very, very well".

He added: "We've had two years of turmoil. We're back on the rise again."

When asked about the threat from Nigel Farage's Brexit Party he asks "where is Nigel?"

"His party has no polices, no structure whatsoever and a leader who dictates everything," he says.

"In local elections that matter to a lot of people - where is Nigel and this party?"

For Britain Movement
Also Anne Marie Waters, "UKIP splinter group" "For Britain" get first seat
The For Britain Movement has gained its first ever seat in Hartlepool.
