Ah the drinking and just pissing the night away. Good ol days. Isn't this from the 90s. I wonder what Chumbawamba is doing now. I like the mix and all the trumpets for sure. (I played in HS -- lousy at that) But couldn't take a whole album of this.

Hi Packy

They were a one hit wonder as far as I am concerned... but there are a lot of songs like that.

I "Googled" (as you do) :24
From Wikipedia
Quote:
Chumbawamba was a British alternative music band who have, over a career spanning three decades, played anarcho-punk, pop-influenced music, world music, and folk music. Their anarchist politics exhibit an irreverent attitude toward authority, and the band have been forthright in their stances on issues including animal rights, pacifism (early in their career) and later regarding class struggle, feminism, gay liberation, pop culture and anti-fascism.

The band are best known for their song "Tubthumping". Other singles have included "Amnesia", "Enough Is Enough" (with MC Fusion), "Timebomb", "Top of the World (Ole, Ole, Ole)", and most recently, "Add Me".

In July 2012, Chumbawamba announced their decision to end the band. On their website they stated "That’s it then, it’s the end. with neither a whimper, a bang or a reunion."

In 1997, Chumbawamba's biggest chart hit, "Tubthumping" (UK #2, US #6), was followed up with "Amnesia", which reached #10

What did we ever do without Google. Although I have a library full of just about everything and I love wading through my stacks.

Thanks, Rumpy.

From MSN: http://now.msn.com/this-is-exactly-how-we-all-react-when-that-gotye-song-plays

This is exactly how we all react when that Gotye song plays

It's been months since Australian singer Gotye's song "Somebody That I Used to Know" rocketed to the top of music charts around the world and buried itself in our brains forever. This video, by acting troupe the Breakfast Toms, perfectly describes how everyone reacts when the overexposed track resurfaces on the radio. First we reach to turn it off. Then we complain how much it plays everywhere, all the time. And, finally, we burst into heartfelt song when the chorus starts. Now if you'll excuse us, we have to go and wail "But you didn't have to cuuuuut me ooooooff" as loudly as we can.
