Empowered Thugs Rule The Streets – Post Riot Baltimore Shootings Skyrocket 70% – Murder Rate Increases 42% – Mayor “Disheartened”…
Posted on May 21, 2015 by sundance

…Police are struggling to stop violence in West Baltimore, where officers have been routinely surrounded by dozens of people, video cameras and hostility while doing basic police work since the death of Freddie Gray, Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony W. Batts said Wednesday.

BALTIMORE – Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake called the city’s recent spike in violence “disheartening” Thursday as police work to address a dramatic increase in homicides and nonfatal shootings.

“It’s extremely frustrating,” the mayor told reporters at a news conference. “It is disheartening, but I am still resolved to continue to reduce violent crime in our city.”

Rawlings-Blake said the city’s faced spikes in crimes in the past and police have been able to successfully reverse them. She said she’s “confident” police do so will again.

Prosecutor: 6 Officers Indicted in Death of Freddie Gray

ABC NEWS | May 21, 2015, 5:14 PM ET
By JULIET LINDERMAN Associated Press

(AP)The state's attorney in Baltimore says all six officers charged in the police-custody death of Freddie Gray have been indicted by a grand jury.

State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby made the announcement Thursday. The charges returned by the grand jury were similar to the charges Mosby announced about three weeks ago.

Mosby has said Gray's neck was broken because he was injured while being handcuffed, shackled and placed head-first into a police van. She says his pleas for medical attention were repeatedly ignored.

Gray was arrested April 12. He died in a hospital a week later and became a symbol of what protesters say was police brutality against blacks.

*Updates* Angry Much ? Marilyn Mosby Grand Jury Press Conference – Video
Posted on May 21, 2015 by sundance

Against the backdrop of her initial ‘Direct Action’ charges coming under scrutiny from numerous legal analysts and scholars, a defiant State Attorney Marilyn Mosby took her demand for charges to a grand jury. Here is the result:

Notes: Officers Brian Rice, Edward Nero and Garrett Miller (bicycle patrol) no longer charged with “False Imprisonment”. This is obviously the result of the knife found on Freddie Gray being illegal, unlike Mosby’s initial claims. However, Mosby modified the GJ request and they are now charged with “reckless endangerment”. She also added “misconduct in office” charges to each of the accused.

It was apparent from SA Marilyn Mosby’s bitter tone and visibly angered demeanor, she has felt the sting of criticism and has decided to double down against the accused.

With violent crime, shootings and murder rates in Baltimore skyrocketing, Mosby is walking a dangerous path in her activist anger toward law enforcement. Just yesterday a meeting with Baltimore politicians was held by Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett in the White House. The potential for the consequences to continue spiraling out of control are very real, and very dangerous.

One can easily see the possibility of Marilyn Mosby falling back on her group of activists and sycophants to find a safe harbor from the scrutiny.

Unfortunately, when a person falls back to the safety of an echo chamber, pride and ego can become toxic and dangerous; expressed anger becomes the visible result.

Baltimore Maryland could very well collapse into a lawless society ruled entirely by street thugs as the police become consequently reluctant to act.

Is there a document with the charges? I was thinking she dropped the legal knife claim and is now asserting the arrest was illegal because Freddie was handcuffed, and thus arrested (in Mosby’s view) before they found the knife.

Mosby originally asserted that the cops murdered Freddie at various locations around Baltimore, then he died a week later in the hospital. It would be interesting to know what she told the GJ.

That video is hilarious. :Gslap

HA, at the yellow card reference! He definitely gets a red card.

Had to watch it several times.
He sort of has a swag going on before collapsing in the street.
Funny how everyone kind of ignores him.

Marilyn Mosby’s Consequences – 27 People Shot Memorial Day Weekend – Deadliest Month In Two Decades…
Posted on May 25, 2015 by sundance

27 people shot so far in Baltimore over the Memorial Day weekend creates May as the deadliest month since 1999 in Baltimore Maryland.

Baltimore State Attorney, and “Black Lives Matter” activist, Marilyn Mosby, has created an environment of brutal lawlessness in the wake of her visible animosity toward city police officers. Thugs now rule the streets, particularly in the dangerous Western region as police are forced to stop proactive policing.

The irony of consequence is lost amid the reality that more black people are being killed specifically because of the approach taken by the local Baltimore prosecutor.

First Baltimore Riot Bill Comes Due: $20,000,000 – Baltimore City Leadership Send Bill To FEMA, Forces All Americans To Pay….
Posted on May 26, 2015 by sundance

It takes some kind of nerve to intentionally “provide space for people to destroy” a city, and then ask everyone who doesn’t live in the city to pay for it.

…”The $20 million estimate released by city officials does not include the cost to businesses of the unrest. The figure also does not include state or federal costs. It’s unclear when those figures will be tallied”…

Previously Unknown Video of Marilyn Mosby Appearing on Judge Judy Show (Season 5, ’00-’01) Age 20…
Posted on May 26, 2015 by sundance

(HatTip Froggie) Newly discovered video shows Baltimore State Attorney Marilyn Mosby while she was in college and unmarried (going by her maiden name of Marilyn James) in 2000-2001 when she appeared on the Judge Judy show (Season #5, Episode #119).

On the show she is suing a building business owner for damages as a result of his taking custody of her apartment (above the shop) while she was home between college semesters.

Judge Judy Season 5 Episode 119

Born 01/22/1980 Marilyn Mosby (James) would have been approximately 20-years-old when this show was taped.

Also Froggie points out something interesting. Check out the type of Twitter Messages that Marilyn Mosby favors on her social media. Racist much?

Defense attorneys for the six officers involved in the Freddie Gray case on Wednesday filed a motion to switch venues, claiming that they "cannot receive a fair and impartial trial in Baltimore City."

In the 85-page motion, the lawyers representing officers Caesar Goodson, Edward Nero, Garrett Miller, Brian Rice, Alicia White and William Porter outlined a "presumption of prejudice" they say exists in the city that necessitates moving the trial.
