The return of the Prodigal cat - A cautionary tail tale A happy ending to a mini-saga involving Ivor (my 3-legged cat)Background:Ivor for the most part prefers his own company.. most days outside.. who knows where.. but he does turn up 6AM to tell us to get out of bed.. turns up at meal times etc.. and can at times stay home.... behave like a smoochy lap-cat.
Epic:He seemed to be unwell a few days back.. but still eating.. indicating not a serious "flu" or even "bad teeth".. he missed a meal but did turn up next day.. still looking vaguely unwell.. but OK ish. he stayed home that day..on our bed until mid afternoon.. then spotted outside on the deck. All seemed fine, but he had VANISHED again by dinner time. Not back for supper. Not there next morning 6AM... not around all next day.. despite frequently calling him. Not back for second dinner time, nor supper time, nor "breakfast.

However.. to relieve the tension for you readers.. he was FOUND.. locked in the "Garage" for want of a better name.
Aside: It's never been a Garage.. it was built as "Rumpus Room" and has small room one end used as laundry and workshop. Known affectionately as "The Shed"
Explanation: The day that Ivor went missing was an epic day in the laundry department.. regular stuff plus loads of double bed linen. The Shed was open all day and I was back and forth. There were loads of sheets etc on the washing line.. which I had to hurriedly bring in late in the day.. (thunderstorm pending).. just before cat's dinner-time. Ivor is NOT known to ever venture into the shed.. never dawned on me he had gone in there.. no doubt was asleep in "rumpus room" part. So.. he got locked in. And... the rain and storm that night and all next day meant I only called him rather than veturing out to check the shed. We have one naughty cat (Cerys) who WOULD sneak in shed.. and I would check if she had gone missing.. but not Ivor. Add to that NORMALLY every day I take out Kitchen garbage.. so would open the shed.. on this one day I didn't bother because it was pouring with rain
Anyway all is well..... Ivor had breakfast then "popped outside" (dont ask) but came back to SHOUT at me (meaning he wanted a few cat-biscuits).. so all is well.
ETA The bugger has been missing all day again today.. and I have been calling him
He just turned up... an hour before cat's dinner time.
