10:12 am Bail request
The judge has returned to court, and defence lawyer Barry Roux has requested bail for Pistorius.
Mr Roux says he has previously been on bail for a serious crime and complied with his bail conditions.
But prosecutor Gerrie Nel says: "I disagree with Mr Roux... the accused caused the death of an innocent woman... He was convicted of a serious crime of killing an innocent woman."
Mr Nel says Pistorius' circumstances have changed since he was first granted bail.
He has sold his house, the court is told, and Mr Nel tells of a family press release issued about a nightclub brawl which referred to Pistorius' "self harming behaviour".
The prosecutor also talks about a doctor who said Pistorius was a suicide risk.
"It is not in the interests of justice" to let someone convicted of this crime on bail, Mr Nel says.
10:19 am Judge to consider bail request
But prosecutor Gerrie Nel says that after the sale of Pistorius' properties, "there is nothing holding him in South Africa."
Mr Roux says Pistorius is currently staying with his uncle, and has been for the last 18 months.
The court adjourns for an hour for the judge to consider whether Pistorius should be remanded or bailed. ====================
