My my... you DO have a lot of catching up to do. The neighbours who heard "women's screams" are almost certainly WRONG.... They heard OP's anguishes cries.. which sounded like women's screams. What they heard was AFTER Reeva had had her brains blown out.

You are quite right there was no intruder in the toilet. Obviously it was Reeva.... but that is not the point being argued. OP genuinely believed there was an intruder and so acted (in his mind) in Self defence. The Prosecution should have argued that that belief was unreasonable.... but they didn't. The rest you will need to read back a little .

I heard about his cries. I wasn't sure if that was true or just fast tap dancing. HIS FREEDOM IS at stake and it is so important for HIM with his handicap, NOT to go to prison I think.
For some reason I want to think he is innocent ... but I will try to learn more and see if his story matches whatever evidence there is, and sounds logical and reasonable (to me). I guess that's what we all do.
Where did he think she was? He didn't call to her saying "Call 911 -- hurry!!"?
I guess they were having this terrible fight? He thought all during THAT, a visitor came in, and ran to the bathroom to hide? The intruder didn't HEAR the terrible fighting/screaming? This is sounding funny to me...

Well Joni, you have to believe whether there ever was an intruder theory, or he made it up - according to the prosecution that's what he did, Reeva was running away from him or simply, that he chased her to the bathroom and knowing she was there shot at her.

We just don't know, and I've not seen enough evidence to decide.

Wronghead ... I don't know what to believe. I KNOW defendants ALL lie! I TRULY believe that! I haven't seen one that didn't LIE!! Most have their relatives LIE for them TOO! Some statements just don't ring true, or "feel" right to me. Some sound totally ludicrous to me... but jury's sometimes buy it.

Prosecution witnesses lie AS WELL AS defence.... they certainly do in this case. If not outright lie then obviously evolve their testimony over time.. as has been shown many times in this case.

You know Joni it's funny you should say that. I used to have ladders next to a garden shed, and I asked someone to take them away - this was when I first moved to this house, it felt unsafe to me, like an invitation to use the ladders to climb my walls haha - they're all gone now though.

Barry reminds me of a past boss/owner of a small company I was involved in. Similar look (kind of), but it's mainly the underlying hints of the "mental chess" in play...strategy etc..... relentless.

Boss guy had a HUGE effect on my life. Certainly my knowledge and insight into business, strategies etc. but wider aspects of life, how you view people, "play the game" etc I have often described him as a great guy but a bastard to have as a boss. We got on well socially though... great drinking mate.

I really can not see that the State put up much of a case. The timeline of events is at odds with their contention that OP shot at 3:17. and generally their witnesses support OP's version. Bare in mind that the BURDEN is on the state to prove Beyond Reasonable doubt. I doubt that even The Lynch mob types posting at True Gossip Forums , not withstanding... I do not see how rational people can deny "doubt".

I see people as some what "delusional" in regards Nel.

They note what an ineffective job he is doing and what little he has presented, but then by some twist of logic take that to show he has "hidden depths" and all sorts of evidence in reserve?

I think the more logical conclusion (and applying Occam's Razor), based on Nel's performance is that he is CRAP!!
