9:12pm: Judge Masipa, who was a crime journalist before she became a lawyer and judge, has ruled that the broadcast of evidence of doctor who performed autopsy on Reeva Steenkamp cannot be broadcast live or Tweeted. The live broadcast on South African TV can no longer be seen; nor a live web feed.

9:19pm: Oscar Pistorius is looking increasingly upset and unwell as pathologist's evidence begins.

He appears to be retching into a bucket as testimony given. His hands are over his ears, trying to block out the sound.

9:29pm: After a short adjournment, the judge returns to the bench. Oscar's barrister says his client is very emotional and unwell, but "that's not going to change" with the witness of this evidence.

Pistorius wants the evidence to proceed, Mr Roux says.

This Judge is starting to really piss me off

9:34pm: Judge Masipa has clarified that when she said no live broadcast or Tweeting of the pathologist's evidence, she also to intended to include live blogs. So effectively, the witness's evidence is suppressed for the time being.

Kind of a ridiculous situation ... not clear when the media CAN update readers/viewers with what the witness says (if he says anything interesting) becuase the key argument was only that it not be done LIVE.

ONE side effect of this is that SPECULATION will run riot at all the "True Gossip Forums"

I have already seen the usual "what if....." followed by "then that means...." etc

What if......"The groin shot was actually in the vaginal area... which shows Oscar shot there on purpose..... adds weight to it being premeditated murder"

And so it goes..... BASELESS supposition built on and once posted becoming part of the "group think"

The court has adjourned for a one hour lunch break now. Quick recap:

* The court is currently hearing testimony from a forensic pathologist who conducted the autopsy on Reeva Steenkamp. However, Judge Masipa has agreed to a request from both the prosecution and defence that his evidence not be broadcast live due to the graphic nature of his testimony.

* Hope to bring you a summary of the witness's evidence shortly.

* Earlier, security guard Pieter Baba was adamant it was he who had rung Pistorius on the night in question, only to be told by the athlete: "Everything is fine". This was despite phone records being shown by Barry Roux, for Pistorius, that in fact the Olympian had rung him first.

2:10am: In summary:

It's been a rather difficult day for all parties - the loud retching and vomiting from Pistorius has punctuated the evidence the forensic pathologist who conducted the autopsy on Reeva Steenkamp.

Professor Gert Saayman spoke of the wounds to three parts of her body - hip, upper arm and head - in forensic detail, saying the wound to her hip could actually have been fatal of itself.

However the wound to the head was substantial, and would have likely rendered her completely incapacitated upon impact. He said she likely died within seconds.

The bullets used, Black Talon, are designed to "mushroom" on impact and cause maximum damage.

The Judge had earlier banned any "live" coverage of the professor's evidence. She used her discretion to cut the broadcast of the trial on television, believing it could be too graphic for anyone to hear inadvertently or without an opportunity to turn away.

"Oscar Pistorius repeatedly vomited in the dock today as the pathologist who carried out the post-mortem on Reeva Steenkamp gave a graphic account of her injuries

"The Paralympian retched into a bucket as Professor Gert Saaymaan gave harrowing testimony about the multiple bullet wounds he admits inflicting on his girlfriend.

"Prof Saayman told the court how Miss Steenkamp was struck four times - on the top right of the head, in the right elbow, in the right hip and also in the webbing of her left hand.

"The model and law graduate also sustained injuries from fragments from the bullets, door and from her own bone, he added.

"He said Miss Steenkamp had been wearing grey Nike shorts and a sleeveless black vest at the time.

"As the details were read out, the court was forced to adjourn twice as Pistorius broke down, his shoulders visibly shaking."
