Call me impatient.. but none of this evidence seems to have much point.

Dunn is not denying he fired shots. Nobody is denying that shots killed Davis.

Dunn's reason/motivation is what needs to be considered. And so far the Prosecution has not addressed that.

I guess they will address that in Closing arguments... Just make stuff up as lawyers do... play on emotion and hope the Jury take it as fact. Which they may well do.

Unless Dunn testifies or the State can somehow get Judge to allow witnesses who testify to prior "bad acts" I don’t see how the State can prove anything about what motivated Dunn to shoot.

All elements of a crime have to be proven or stipulated to, so even though it is obvious Dunn killed Davis, they have to go through the motions of getting that proof entered into evidence,
