I worked with law enforcement my entire life before retirement. Even though most officers I've worked with seemed conscientious and honest, common sense has always told me not to ever say anything to them if I was a suspect in a crime (whether or not I'm innocent or guilty). To me, that's always been a "no-brainer" and I always thought everyone else knew that too. That's why I am so shocked when I see someone like George tell his whole life story to the police. I can only presume George now knows not to talk to the police.

Sundance at CTh has posted a reminder about the O'Mara bar complaint... and it's been a MONTH since O'Mara himself in his blog claimed that the matter would be "resolved shortly"

From the comments at CTH......

She’s recused herself?

“10/11/2013 FREE JUDGE’S RESPONSE: I HAVE RECUSED MYSELF FROM ANY FURTHER ACTION IN THIS CASE.”

Seems Judge Nelson has rescued herself from the case. :eek

So where does that leave the outstanding matter of Sanctions against BDLR and the Judicial Inquiry??

I assume the motion for sanctions against BDLR and a Judicial Inquiry is still to be resolved. The hearing on that was halted…Nelson may well have a “conflict of Interest” since she perhaps shares some of the blame for wrongdoing in and around that. More of a “Co-Defendant” than a Judge.

Ok, I totally confused now! This is the Nelson from the trial, she should recused herself, Not sure how that relates to sanctions on BDLR should also be a different judge. Perhaps I need a nap! :)

Speaking of sanctions ....

The following article says, "Corey was also asked at the luncheon if she’s considering running for mayor of Jacksonville. She said that wouldn’t happen.

“I’m a career prosecutor and I’m where God meant me to be,” she said.

All I got to say is, If Corey is where God meant her to be, then we all must be in Hell!

Here's the article:

State Attorney Corey doesn't read newspapers and doesn't think public should have any information on criminal cases before trial

I can't fathom why this broad hasn't been booted already...how much damage is she going to be allowed to do?

I love the contradiction in this article:

"It prompted a scolding by U.S. District Judge Timothy Corrigan and follows similar criticisms in the failed prosecution of George Zimmerman."

Apparently he is mad because she got caught trying to throw the case, therefore, failed prosecution:

"Corey also was accused of withholding key findings from Trayvon Martin's cellphone in the Zimmerman trial and faces potential sanctions there." [BEM]

I agree. It does my heart good to see George handling himself so well with those idiots. Probably due to his good upbringing.

I was tempted to post this in "Daily Daft" but this is supposedly "professional" people being daft rather than the rank amateur daft posters at places like InSession2 (formerly Justice Quest). This is stuff on national TV, rather than stuff hidden away in shame in a secret sewer.

Jane Velez-Mitchell is a parody of a "crime reporter" :slap

Does me good to see George so upbeat. The same kind of person who will save humans from car wrecks also saved 3 dogs who were in traffic by calling a rescue for them after animal control refused to help them.
