Nice try.... but I am reminded of a lyric from a Neil Young song..

Ambulance Blues - Neil Young

"You're just pissin' in the wind
There ain't nuthin' like a friend who'll tell ya,
You'e just pissin' in the wind"

I'm curious about Tracy saying he wasn't worried when Trayvon didn't show up because "they" said they might go to the movies. Who is "they"?

I was tempted to post this in "Daft" department, but here it is......

Sybrina Fulton: ‘I thought that he would go to jail’
Jan 14, 2014
By Tracy Scott

Spoiler:
Image

The mother of slain teen Trayvon Martin sits down with S2S Publisher Jamie Foster Brown to talk about her son’s younger days, his last days and what she’s doing to keep his memory alive.

Get an excerpt of the Q&A below and get more from Sybrina in the February 2014 issue.

Sybrina: A part of me believed that America had come that far in order to convict someone, in order to hold someone accountable for what they’ve done. So a part of me felt like, “Yes, he’s going to be convicted,” because of the facts that came out. Because Trayvon was a minor. Because Trayvon wasn’t breaking into any houses. He wasn’t doing any of those things. He was on his cell phone on a conversation with a young lady and he had no weapon. So, we thought surely they would see those things. Then another part of me says, “We came so far and we still have so far to go.” So I really had mixed feelings, but I think for the most part, I thought that he would go to jail and he would be held accountable. And when it did not happen, of course it was devastating. We just absolutely could not believe it.

This is a fantastic article! I'm surprised I never saw it before:

The hunting of George Zimmerman
James Myburgh
14 August 2013

James Myburgh on what the Trayvon Martin case says about the US media and judicial systems

Introduction

Last month's not guilty verdict in the trial of George Zimmerman on second degree murder and manslaughter charges for the killing of the black 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, in Sanford, Florida, on February 26 last year, has provoked a flurry of discussion in the US mainstream media on the issues of racial profiling and Stand Your Ground laws (which remove the duty to retreat in self-defence cases.) President Barack Obama even weighed in again on the case stating that Martin "could have been me 35 years ago" while calling for the problem of racial profiling of black Americans in the US to be recognised and addressed and Stand Your Ground Laws re-examined.

Somewhat awkwardly, however, neither were ultimately key issues in the case. Zimmerman's defence rested on a pure self-defence claim (he was not in a position to retreat when he shot Martin), while the prosecution, much as they would have liked to, could produce no evidence of racial profiling or bias on Zimmerman's part.

The question this raises is why the US political and media elites are so determined to link the Zimmerman acquittal to these racially-infused issues, though they turned out to be effectively irrelevant to the case? One possible answer is, perhaps, that it is a way of avoiding through misdirection having to face up to certain hard questions the trial raised about their own conduct.

Legal documents should be accurate.

Nothing is accurate where this family is concerned. I lost count of the lies in legal documents and otherwise. Lying has become more of the norm. They mostly lie by omission ... I have NEVER seen the attorneys or the family mention (while telling the story), Trayvon was beating GZ at the time he was shot. Nope, they go straight from walking with skittles to dead. Like it never happened .... the attack.

Sundance at CTH has blog post about the Sabrina (Ms Candy) Cover story thing......

Ms. Sybrina ‘Candy’ Fulton – “The Sister Shyster”…. Not A Parody – Magazine Cover
Posted on January 15, 2014 by sundance

Next up Mademoise-hell…

Spoiler:
Image

Ms. Candy “reveals tender moments with Trayvon” ? Mm-kay, that should be a short sentence.

  1. Trayvon did not live with Ms. Sybrina “Candy” Fulton for twelve years – He lived with his step-mom Alicia Stanley Martin in Orlando.

  2. Trayvon did not live with Ms. Candy when he was killed – She kicked him out of the house and he was living with his aunt and uncle.

  3. Ms. Candy never left Fort Lauderdale until the TV cameras were set up by the media consultant in Sanford.

  4. Ms. Candy Trademarked the Trayvon name two weeks after the shooting.

  5. Ms. Candy never even knew Trayvon had social media accounts.

  6. Ms. Candy said she did not know why Trayvon was suspended from school for 10 days (THREE TIMES).

  7. Ms. Candy and her Ex, Tracy “Fruit” Martin, lied in sworn statements to the State’s Attorney’s Office about how Trayvon got to Sanford.

  8. By her own admissions, Ms. Candy did not know Trayvon’s sports interests, favorite foods, or anything about the life Trayvon was leading prior to his death.

Check out the caption on pic#5. She’s upset because Arizona Tea and Skittles haven’t donated to the “cause”. Gag me. There’s also a paucity of any “tender moments” in these previews.

"I could talk a minute about the Skittles and the Arizona Iced Tea. Those two particular manufacturers or companies haven’t done anything to support the cause," Sybrina said.

Yes I looked at the site and read.... but did not look at the pics... or captions... would have missed that Daft if not for labrat

Certainly... I would never have heard of Arizona drinks, Ice tea or Watermelon Fruit drink if not for TM's assault on George.

And I am so out of touch... never heard of Skittles.... but that is more to do with the Alzheimer's... they are sold in NZ. I do now notice them in stores.

Robitussin ... I knew.... but the three part combo "Lean/Drank" is all new to me.... probably THAT is known in NZ too... by the younguns. :95

Rawstory joins media outlets denying the existence of "the knockout game"

The Knockout Game was hyped by the Drudge Report, Fox News and other right-wing media outlets in 2013 as a racially motivated blood sport in which young black males attacked middle aged white people, attempting to knock them unconscious with one sucker punch. Subsequent media analysis has revealed much of the supposed “evidence” of the game to be circumstantial or outright fabricated.

Trayvon was playing the Knockout Game

Exclusive: Jack Cashill asserts, 'Martin's assault on Zimmerman fit an obvious pattern'

Friday, January 17, 2014

OK, let us start with the premise that Conrad Barrett of Katy, Texas, deserves to be in prison. He deserves to be in prison for his willful and unprovoked attack on a fellow citizen, especially given the age of the victim, 79.

The evidence suggests that Barrett approached the elderly fellow, said, “How’s it going, man?” and then punched him hard enough to break the fellow’s jaw in two places and dislodge three of his teeth.

Barrett then allegedly cried “knockout!” and took off. He was arrested after sharing his story at a bar in the presence of an off-duty cop.

What makes the case stand out is what Barrett actually hoped would make it stand out: his pioneering role as the Vanilla Ice of the Knockout circuit. Of the thousands of perpetrators of the Knockout Game, Barrett may be the only white guy to have attacked a black victim.

What is for sure is that Barrett is the one and only knockout player to get arrested for a federal hate crime. New York State brought hate crime charges against one black suspect in 2013, but that was not so much because the victim was white, which he was, but because he was Jewish.

Among his motives – his attorney says he is bipolar – Barrett set out to prove the unequal enforcement of the law. In this regard, he seems to have succeeded.
[......]

The media’s collective failure to acknowledge the racial nature of the Knockout Game enabled them to turn would-be knockout king Trayvon Martin into a martyr and his victim, George Zimmerman, into a racist vigilante.

If he had not had an audience, Trayvon Martin would likely have made it back safely to the townhouse where he was staying in Sanford, Fla., that rainy night in February 2012.

The Knockout Game is played for glory. Martin’s audience consisted of one person, the sassy, defiant, plus-sized Rachel Jeantel who talked to Martin by phone throughout the encounter.

There is no reason to believe anything Jeantel said about the confrontation between Martin and Zimmerman save for her spectacularly un-coached recollection of how Martin first described Zimmerman, namely as a “creepy ass cracker.”

In sum, Martin saw Zimmerman not as the hulking vigilante the media did but as a vulnerable, possibly gay white man nearly half-a-foot smaller than he.

As to Martin, although the media chose not to let the public know, he was an aspiring mixed martial artist who had recently been disciplined both at home and at school for starting fights.

By the time of this incident, the Knockout Game was a well-established phenomenon among young black males, especially troubled ones like Martin, the product of a broken home and a broken culture. Martin’s assault on Zimmerman fit an obvious pattern.

The State of Florida, Attorney General Holder, President Barack Obama and the entirety of the mainstream media chose not to see that pattern.

Sundance at CTH has posted a video with some advice that might have helped George if he had known (and heeded)... and it is also great advice to us all. I have posted the YT here at RT as well.... in a separate thread
