George Zimmerman trial AP's top Florida story for 2013
By MIKE SCHNEIDER, Associated Press
Last Updated: Monday, December 30, 2013, 8:59 PM

It was yet another high-profile trial in central Florida that attracted around-the-clock cable television news coverage and captivated viewers from around the world.

But unlike the Casey Anthony trial two summers earlier, which was a domestic drama involving a mother accused of killing her toddler, the murder trial of George Zimmerman in the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin tackled two of the thorniest issues confronting America: race and gun control. For those reasons, the George Zimmerman trial was voted the state's story of the year for 2013 by Florida newspaper and broadcast editors.

The article's description of Rachel's testimony seems to be a deliberate distortion as to the reasons she was ridiculed,

Hi Mike.
Yes.... in regards Rachel and also generally.

Most MSM articles (and a lot of posting by Traybot Worriers) contain distortions... parts of the false narrative that was clearly put out intentionally... and IMPRINTED the minds of many. The fact that it continues from "reporters" who know at least some of the facts, but chose to continue to include inaccuracies MUST be deliberate. and it works! Traybot Worriers STILL think TM was a small child... they still use pictures of him when 12... etc... the IMPRINTED false narrative continues from there.

Or in the alternative, a sloppy description which omitted other salient reasons for ridicule...

There will always be those who cling to the false narrative unfortunately. Even the trial did not cover all of the truths. I hope George makes a ton of money in lawsuits and on his artwork.

I hope you're right about the "ton of money." Because of the rabid hate instigated by the lynch-mob mentality of the main stream media and nationally known race baiters (as well as politicals in high places), Zimmerman has not been able to earn a living as normal American citizens are afforded. Therefore, I think it's poetic justice that their actions have created Zimmerman's "notoriety" that is enabling him to benefit by their efforts to "lynch" him.

What I don't understand is why the family never released the photo of TM in that vehicle at his current age. It was good enough to submit to Serino. That was not a bad picture at all, I thought he looked handsome in it, and IMO, it would have done much more to "humanize" young Martin than any false narrative ever could.

I don't think I ever will "get" why the family needed to do that even though I know Team Crump/Julison engineered it. TO ME, truth wins out. Every time. Just as it did during the trial without the character attacks.

The underlying facts of this tragedy and the law do not allow much room for GZ to be compensated via lawsuits. The Beasly action has a shot at some financial settlement, but there will be precious little left for GZ after all the cuts are taken and expenses paid.

Thanks, Deb.
Yes. I'll go along with those pics being a fair representation of how TM looked.
But the IMPRINTING did work and Traybot Worriers simply do not (can not) imagine TM looking like that. To them he will always be the little 12 year old shown early on... and still shown.

Hi Hooson1st.
You may be right... I am guessing and hoping that George will get some big bags of cash eventually. :)
The NBC suit does seem to have clear and irrefutable foundation.. and there is certainly room to argue it was a deliberate and malicious act that did have demonstrable negative impact on GZ's life. It seems to me (from afar) that in the Litigious States of America.. people get large settlement for dubious claims at times? For instance Crump apparently won $2 Million from RATL for???? for no reason at all that I can fathom.

I agree with Deb. They are very nice photos of him. I think the problem with them is that he doesn't look like a helpless little child on his way home with candy. (He looks so tall in the top one!)

From thehoff71 blog.....

Would Like to Take a Moment to Remind You
Posted on January 7, 2014

Quote:
With the very oddly timed Christi O’Connor hit piece on Zimmerman, I felt it would be beneficial to reiterate some things:

Samantha Scheibe, whom I still do not believe and I still have to question George’s interest in keeping her as a girlfriend, would never be compelled to testify before a Federal Grand Jury in reference to the hilarious assumption that it is actually happening.

The dropped Domestic Violence case has zero bearing on a supposed “hate crime” charge.

Federal Grand Juries do not conduct witch hunts into character.

I have repeated here over and over again: In order for the United States to bring a Civil Rights case against George Zimmerman, they will have to prove that George murdered Trayvon Martin based on the color of his skin. All evidence brought before a Grand Jury will have to be relevant to the night of February 26th.
[...]
This blogger is still of the opinion that O’Connor is a fake and is trying to jump start a mediocre journalism career that ended prior to her running from the State of California after information began coming out that she was accused of defrauding “Bullied Children” families (as reported here prior). She claims to have a book forthcoming.

Nothing to see here folks.

If there is anything to her wild claims, then the Federal Government is indeed violating George Zimmerman’s civil rights by conducting a witch hunt into his mind in an effort to continuously harass him and appease the perpetually aggrieved.

Tracy Martin was home the night Trayvon was killed:

In newly discovered court documents (MICHAEL MOORE, et al., vs Lisa Madigan and HIRAM GRAU ), it is revealed by Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton that Tracy was at the home of his girlfriend, Brandy Green, the night his son, Travyon Martin, was killed. Tracy was waiting on Trayvon to get back and watch the All Star game with him.

Amici: Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton are the parents of Trayvon Martin, a 17 year old
who was shot and killed on February 26, 2012 as he walked home from a convenience store with
a bag of Skittles and a can of iced tea to watch the NBA All-Star game with his father. The killer
was licensed to carry a loaded concealed firearm in public. He followed Trayvon with his gun
after being told not to by police.

Um..... the little bit you quoted is WRONG :lol

"Told not to by police".... IMPRINTING... but not correct. :)

Of course... "Ice Tea" is now the standard example in all Psychology text books describing IMPRINTING

I really do not know quite what to make of Fruit's recant and new story? :40

When all said and done....

I'm quite sure they threw that in to make Tracy seem even more of a pathetic figure than he is.. or, it could be true, who knows.

This amicus was filed in January 2013. I'm really just trying to make the bots spew green. Slow news day.

Oh... didn't notice the date... pressure of work lol

Don't suppose it was worth pressing at the trial... they could not get Fruit to tell the truth about the screams not being TM...

Like to see somebody write a proper book about the case... with all the facts.. maybe George in collaboration with somebody... make a few million for George as well.

I left this comment at that site:

How can the following misinformation be allowed in a legal document? "... he walked home from a convenience store with a bag of Skittles and a can of iced tea to watch the NBA All-Star game with his father. The killer was licensed to carry a loaded concealed firearm in public. He followed Trayvon with his gun after being told not to by police."

Martin did not have an iced tea. It was an Arizona Watermelon Fruit Juice Cocktail. That is not any kind of tea I've ever drank. Zimmerman was never told by the police to do anything or not to do anything. He was informed by the phone answerer (who is not the police) that he didn't need to follow Martin. Zimmerman then said "ok" and STOPPED following.

Legal documents should be accurate.
