It is good to know that Robert continues to support his brother.

Not sure what you mean. Is my comment in the wrong place?

Looks to me like she means Robert supports George "daily."

Sorry, jordan2, for being so cryptic. Yes, kbp, that's exactly what I meant, that RZjr sticks up for his brother every single day, it seems. :)

After seeing how much these idiots cost the taxpayers, and especially since they were there for such a bogus, political, and $$ scheme, I think I may support this: New restrictions proposed in wake of Florida Capitol protest

I think the reforms suggested in the piece aren't too extreme. It may happen. Again, especially considering the cost.

I suppose we should count ourselves lucky that the astroturf protest in Florida was not nearly as damaging as the one in the Wisconsin capitol a few years ago.

FWIW - TMZ reports that SZ can't find GZ to serve him with divorce papers. I thought that was a done deal?

Sorry but this does not appear to be a good thing for George to do. What could be the point?

Well, if Shellie doesn't know where he is, she can't accidentally reveal his location to the public, some of whom wish him harm.

It's all over twitter with the phrase/headline "You can't divorce me if you can't find me" as if GZ is trying to stop the divorce. I suspect that's more Trayborg™ nonsense, and trying to make a story where none truly exists.

GZ is in hiding. He has been in hiding for going on two years. And will likely remain in hiding for some time to come. That's not a surprise. He doesn't want his location listed in court records. Also not a surprise. Once he gets a divorce attorney, his attorney will likely accept process on his behalf.

One would think that MOM could accept process, as his attorney of record in other cases. I can understand MOM not wanting to have anything at all to do with this case, but I won't be surprised if that's how it eventually happens, especially if GZ drags his feet on hiring another lawyer.

GZ likely doesn't have the money to hire someone. His family is also broke, from being unable to work and the expenses of living in hiding. So, he can't borrow money from them. He may be avoiding process until he can come up with some money to hire a lawyer. Other than process, it's none of either's business where their ex-spouse lives, imo.

Think 'public notice'... can be used in my state, anyway.

Yes, it can, kbp, but it's very expensive and delays things a month. I suspect they went public to embarrass him into giving up a way to serve him right away (like through his lawyer) without the added expense.

Where I'm at... "public notice" involves about a $10-15 ad and a few pages filed with the court.

No kidding, wow! I couldn't imagine running a "for sale" ad for 30 days around here for $10-$15, much less a legal notice. How many papers are required there, if you know?

I tried to check the rates of The Orlando Sentinel, without success.

But with him possibly being anywhere in the country, if she gets a default judgment, he can claim she didn't notify him, that he didn't see the ad(s) because they weren't published where he was staying. So, he can get that judgment thrown out.

Of course, this is almost certainly moot, because he'll likely arrange to accept service pretty quickly. :)

I'm hearing the idiots that protested at the Florida Capitol are trying to get a group together to go back. They plan to demand a special legislative session to overhaul all self-defense laws. You know, cos it worked so well for them last time. :Gslap
