My current thought, given what little we know, is that even if GZ had a valid reason to be there (supposedly it was where they hid out the last year or so, so maybe he was trying to collect some of his belongings or something), unless blondie in the sundress is indeed an oddly attired bodyguard, GZ showed incredibly, I.N.C.R.E.D.I.B.L.Y poor judgment bringing her along.

Not nice to either woman, Shellie or the blonde ...unless there is some reasonable explanation for the blonde being there with him.

Picked this up at CTH from a commenter by the name of "|":

Friend and key defense witness John Donnelly told MailOnline: ‘George has been having an affair with his ex-fiancee. Shellie believes it flared back up after the acquittal.’

Zimmerman was briefly in police custody but was not arrested, and Shellie and her father have declined to press charges. Zimmerman has now returned to the home with his attorney, Mark O’Mara.

According to O'Mara's presser just now, Shellie was supposed to pick up her belongings on Saturday, and George was supposed to get his today. Shellie showed up today unexpectedly while George was there. There was no threatening with a gun. There was some physical contact on both sides when emotions got out of hand. The D.A. will review everyone's statements and decide whether or not to press charges. O'Mara does not believe Shellie's father's nose is broken.

This explains why neither Shellie nor her father expressed interest in pressing charges. It also explains, I guess, why GZ was there with the blonde. He didn't expect to run into Shellie.

Sounds like the explanation that covers it. We may soon see a TV series if it continues.

Thanks JanC

I'll buy all that... sounds reasonable.

Shellie is a loose cannon!

So all the people who didn't believe George's nose was broken, will they be convinced Shellie's dad's is?

I saw something a day or two ago about GZ being seen with a blond, she's pretty brave or pretty foolish to be riding around with him and not wearing her own kevlar.

George Zimmerman's lawyer says no gun threat against wife

LAKE MARY, Fla. —
George Zimmerman's attorney said his client never threatened his estranged wife and her father with a gun even though Shellie Zimmerman reported that in a 911 call.

Attorney Mark O'Mara said the dispute between George and Shellie Zimmerman at her father's Sprucewood Road house in Lake Mary was the result of heightened emotions from their ongoing divorce.

Lake Mary Police Chief Steve Bracknell said Shellie Zimmerman called police shortly after 2 p.m. about a domestic disturbance at her parents' house.

So George has a blond. Probably one of the women who hang on men in the news for one reason or another. She should have stayed the hell in the van. She just wanted to be out there in the middle. Long black dress. She looks trashy. LOL

You're welcome. :)

BBM - nominated for understatement of the day! I can't imagine a bodyguard dressed like that. I hope she is a family member well-known to SZ and her parents. Preferably, a neighbor or a family member of SZ and her parents who happened upon the scene and tried to calm everyone.

I think we've all seen someone do ridiculously stupid things during a divorce. Bringing a date to visit one's ex isn't unheard of, with the purpose being to make the ex jealous, of course. One would think that the young woman would have better sense, though, and that GZ would also, given his high profile existence.

Hiya, flareon! :)

Under normal circumstances, yes, but under these, I could see them not wanting to exacerbate their situation.

Thanks, everyone, for all of the updates, etc.

If what's being reported is nearly true, that GZ showed up to pick up some belongings, and the time was pre-arranged, imo it still doesn't make it ok to bring a date. Especially to her parents' home. If that's what happened, it was incredibly disrespectful to his wife and to her parents. Sounds like the parents helped him in a major way when he needed it, and this is a terrible way to treat them.

Yeah, probably if she's a date she was supposed to stay in the truck, but I just can't think of a single reason she should have been there at all. If GZ and (hypothetical) date really can't be separated from each other for that long, he should have dropped her somewhere nearby before going on to get his things. JMO
