We have the same phenomena still with Casey Anthony... any "sighting" will be news (TMZ news at least)

I see it as a plus to not simply forget about GZ now... there are matters unresolved. But of course I'd rather see NEWS of sanctions and law suits.

Do you know what the big deal is for me in this story? It is proof that the whole BS about the Kel Tec plant was either old or fake. Well I mean maybe George did lose 75 lbs in 6 weeks then put it all back on again a week later, but I will go with the fact that it was BS.

Good point, mung. I didn't bother to read the articles about the speeding, so didn't know about the miraculous weight gain over a few weeks time, after the miraculous weight loss after trial. Hmmmm... :)

Rumpole, I'm not sure I understand what you mean. How is it a plus for GZ to be in the news, especially for something not-newsworthy like this? TIA :)

Quite right... not good for him to be spotted Jay-walking etc.

I just meant.... there is a danger that those things that do need further investigation will just be forgotten about... run out the clock.

Maybe Corey and Bernie caught speeding would be better?

Report: Shellie Zimmerman files for divorce from George Zimmerman

Published On: Sep 05 2013 04:30:04 PM EDT Updated On: Sep 05 2013 04:45:42 PM EDT

SANFORD, Fla. - Shellie Zimmerman has reportedly filed for divorce from George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watchman who was acquitted of second-degree murder in the death of Trayvon Martin.

Thursday's report of the divorce from ABC News comes a week after Shellie Zimmerman said in an interview she "would have to think about" if she stayed married to George Zimmerman and nearly two months after his acquittal.

George Zimmerman's brother, Robert, told Local 6 he will be commenting on the report on Twitter. Local 6 has also reached out to Zimmerman's attorney, Mark O'Mara, but has not yet heard back.

I hope she realizes that the death threats won't stop. I guess she figures that maybe if she has a different name she can slip away from the scum that is stalking them. The Traytards will cheer this as a victory and I hope they rot in hell for their part in destroying these people's lives.

The hints I have seen are that the marriage was "rocky" before This incident.

I know nothing about their private relationship..... so am reluctant to comment at all..... but if there is ongoing angst between it might be just as well get it sorted with a clean break? George may well have a LOT of stuff ahead of him with Law suits and all.... it might be just as well for both to get this out of the way.

It is hard to say how rocky it was or wasn't, but something like this sure wouldn't help.

The best part is when the Traytards say "see look at your hero" Somehow they miss the point that George isn't our hero, the constitution is our hero and we were protecting it. I guess because they gave Trayvon hero status they assume that we did the same with George. I feel sorry for both of them that they had to go through what they went through and that is the extent of it.

No doubt the Trayborg™ will be dancing over this news. I hope they suffer all the evil they encourage. I hope they suffer all the evil in which they participate. And I hope others dance when they do.

Lowell Observatory's Putnam wants to name asteroid for Trayvon Martin
Eric Betz Sun Staff Reporter

Albert Einstein. George Takei. Jerry Garcia.

All of those men and many others have had an asteroid named after them. And if William Lowell Putnam III, trustee of Lowell Observatory, has his way, another name will be added to that list: Trayvon Martin.

The retired broadcast executive, alpinist, author and Flagstaff resident believes that Martin has not received justice.

It was an unusually warm night at Anderson Mesa south of Flagstaff on Oct. 2, 2000, when Lowell Observatory astronomers found the asteroid 2000 TM61. It was just one of hundreds that observatory’s researchers discovered as part of their search for Near Earth Asteroids.

The minor planet was placed into a catalog and forgotten until shortly after Martin, 17, was fatally shot in Sanford, Fla. The unarmed teen’s death sparked nationwide protests and renewed the race debate in America.

It also sparked disgust with Putnam.

“As I see it, the social fairness showed to Trayvon Martin was very sadly lacking,” he said. “Inasmuch as I am the sole trustee of an institution which has some naming privileges, I want to do my share to see that this lad is remembered in an appropriate manner.”

Following George Zimmerman’s murder indictment, Putnam had astronomer Edward Bowell, a near-Earth asteroid and comet expert, submit the suggested name.

George and Shellie Zimmerman getting a divorce
Posted: Sep 06, 2013 8:49 AM Updated: Sep 06, 2013 11:28 AM

ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
By KYLE HIGHTOWER
Associated Press

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - George Zimmerman's wife filed for divorce Thursday, less than two months after her husband was acquitted of murdering Trayvon Martin and a week after she pleaded guilty to perjury in his case.

Shellie Zimmerman made the decision because of "disappointment," her attorney, Kelly Sims, wrote Thursday in a short email to The Associated Press. The 26-year-old Zimmerman told ABC's "Good Morning America" last week that she was having serious doubts about remaining married.

The interview came just after she pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor perjury charge for lying during a bail hearing following her husband's arrest for the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in February 2012. Her husband, who was acquitted on second-degree murder and other charges in July, wasn't in the Sanford, Fla., courtroom as she was sentenced to a year's probation and 100 hours of community service - even though she supported him and lied about their finances.

ABC first reported the divorce filing. Email messages and phone calls to Zimmerman's attorney, Mark O'Mara, were not immediately returned.

Zimmerman's brother, Robert Zimmerman, wrote on Twitter: "Pray 4 them."

More damage done to the Zimmermans by the media and those who pull their strings.
