I agree. He will likely need luck with this judge. :wall

I hope they get a hearing on the sanctions soon. Sadly I think it will be a while though. :TF

A guy from Boston named Kevin Fennick filed them. He's been reprimanded by several courts for filing frivolous motions, mostly in equally frivolous lawsuits. Perhaps I shouldn't make fun of him so much, since, based on the wording of his motions, I suspect he may be mentally ill. I think the court clerk or Judge Nelson needs to do something to prevent him from making a mockery of the case. That's BDLR's job.

BBM - :lol

Hey, everyone - doesn't this prove we need more MJW around here? Can I get an A-Mend?

If George had been openly carrying the gun in his hand like many Traybots claimed...

:Gslap - hadn't thought of that. You are, of course, correct, as usual! :)

No offense, flgirl543 - :NN20

Rush said earlier that we'd be hearing that phrase all over. Apparently he was right. It makes me ill that there are TM™ t-shirts on people that never even heard of him until he viciously attacked poor, innocent GZ; ending up doing untold damage to GZ that may never be undone.

Deifying those who should be vilified is wrong. I hope each and every one of the people who do so reap the karma they're sowing, and I hope they know it. If not in this life, I hope they learn in the next that those negative things they suffered were because of the negative things they said/did/caused, deifying a villain.

"Man, can you believe they have me speaking tomorrow, 50 years to the day of the greatest speech ever given. That's like following Jesus."
President Barack Obama - August 27, 2013

That puts Trayvon just one degree from being our Savior, the Son of God ...in the minds of some!

…That lasted for about an hour, and then the criminal defense attorney in me took over. Those teenagers are citizens accused; they are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law. The lawyer for one of the boys, Christian Phelps, told the press that he feared there was a rush to judgment in the case. “I would urge people to wait for the facts to develop,” he said. “There are no eyewitnesses and no forensic evidence that links either of the kids to the crime.” It sounded very similar to what I said at the beginning of the Zimmerman case.

"similar"? well, except there had been NO mention of the Zimmerman case being a crack deal gone bad.

… I’ve read reports that the two primary defendants accused of this crime have previous arrest records, including assault convictions. Clearly, they didn’t face strict, or at least not successful, consequences for their past behavior. ...Perhaps if we spent more resources (read that money) and were tougher with our lessons, we wouldn’t have to figure out why young teens haven’t learned that you’re not supposed to beat someone, anyone, to death.

That is an overly liberal mindset; blame the system and demand more money. Why not look at the money spent that has eliminated self-responsibility and ask if the perp's involved and/or their peers have a two-parent household that provides a FAMILY to raise them.

O'Mara is stretching it a few degrees to connect this case with what George faced.

I find that young people are willing to support anyone if they think it makes them cool. They don't take the time to do any research and are easily manipulated by those with an agenda.

It becomes obvious when you hear one of them say that Charles Manson shouldn't be in jail because he didn't murder anyone. They completely lack comprehension.

Generally speaking, people become more conservative as they age.

It's known as "wising up" :)

It simply does not happen for some people.... unfortunate.

One of my favorite quotes of all time, attributed to Winston Churchill, is "If you are young and not liberal, you have no heart. If you are old and not conservative, you have no brain"

ICYMI, and because even if you did read it on July 15, 2013 when it was first posted, it's worth another look: PHILLIPS: The myth of St. Trayvon

I thought the end was particularly powerful. If you're not going to click over for the whole thing (which you should!), here is the end:

Spoiler:
JudsonPhillips wrote:

Trayvon Martin was a product of American liberal social policies. A single mother raised him. His school was more concerned about appeasing the civil rights hucksters than whether Martin was educated and taught basic responsibilities.

The story of Martin’s life is not irrelevant. It is the major cause of what happened that night he encountered Zimmerman. The left has tried to demonize Zimmerman and has tried to canonize St. Trayvon.

The truth is that Martin was a 17-year-old wannabe thug who was the architect of his own demise. That is the story that should be told. Perhaps if that story and the truth about Martin were told, it might prevent the next Trayvon Martin.

I'm not sure that a single mother raised Trayvon Martin. Wasn't he raised by his stepmother who was married to his father? Of course, that doesn't mean his father was actually involved in his raising in between his numerous affairs, .... so maybe his stepmother raised him as a "single mom?"

I think if the stepmother still had him with her none of this would have happened. I believe his parents didn't want him so he moved on to live with his aunt and took care of his uncle. He really didn't have any guidance from there on out and started changing.

He had over a year to become thuggish. :(
