Good morning, auscitizenmom! Great to cyber-see you. :86

Just so you know, I said "good morning" in the daily chat thread, link in my sig. That way I can chat with anyone willing, about any topic on our minds. :D Very "liberating" - not to scare my conservative friends. ;)

Amend Jeb Bush :40

I what way? How is he involved in the GZ case?

I see why George Bush is in there.... it's a given that everything is Bush's fault and besides... the very name "George" now should be regarded as a racist slur... henceforth refered to as "The G Word"

:lol

Off the top of my head I would say they are examples of frivolous filings by a Traybot.

I just received an email from the author of that horrid mural. I viewed the equally horrid video linked at the bottom, but because of accents and background noises I couldn't make out everything they said. This state of affairs gets more unbelievable every day. Email is below.

Subject: HELLO FROM MIAMI.

Dear art lover, how are you ?
It was a blessing and a trial for me as an artist to face the national public and Press criticism on
the unveiling of my new mural THE AMERICAN COLOR at the Capitol in Tallahassee this
month in August, addressing the nation's hottest current issue on Racism in our society after the
Trayvon Martin verdict, I wish you were there and invite you to share this experience captured in
the video link below.
For more interviews with Bryan Palacio ,Doyle Murphy of New York daily news and more press
cover stories on home page of http://www.peacemural.org
Now when the threat and hate mails come to a stop, I am returning to the studio to finish the rest
of the mural to be exhibit in Miami in November and you are invited.
Until then enjoy the last few days of your summer.

A guy from Boston named Kevin Fennick filed them. He's been reprimanded by several courts for filing frivolous motions, mostly in equally frivolous lawsuits. Perhaps I shouldn't make fun of him so much, since, based on the wording of his motions, I suspect he may be mentally ill. I think the court clerk or Judge Nelson needs to do something to prevent him from making a mockery of the case. That's BDLR's job.

I think it is quite ok to make fun of him... since the Court is actually accepting these motions and listing them on the docket.
That in itself adds to the lunacy.
Since the outcome of the trial has George no longer at risk I think a bit of comedy is welcomed :)

BDLR has been a clown throughout... perhaps his finest comedic moments were introducing ridiculous "voice experts"... or maybe it was the ME who could remember nothing... or maybe the very early entry of BDLR interview with DD... and his leading questions... actually there is so much material it's hard to pick just one.

Maybe we should run a poll?

POLL THREAD OPEN!

At this stage open to suggestions for up to 10 poll response options. Poll itself not in place yet.

What was the Funniest/Daftest aspect of the case

After Jeb Bush was innaugurated as Florida's governor in January 1999, he signed 10-20-life into law. Jeb Bush also signed Florida's SYG-Law into effect in 2005.

I'm figuring that this motion is a Democrat attack against SYG-Law. Since they've failed to force Governor Scott to act on repealing SYG-Law, they're going to attack SYG-Law at it's roots by labeling it a Republican law.
Marco Rubio voted for the law in 2005, I'm sure the democrat's filthy news rags will attempt to villify him for his support of Florida's SYG-Law.

IMHO: This SYG-Law crap is rooted in politics, it's the democrats attempting to put the republicans on the defensive & it'll get much worse leading up to next years senate election race.

YES politics for sure.

But the Traybot sheeple are not that "deep" (although they would answer to "Democrat")

"Repeal SYG" is just something for the lynch mob to chant now.

I agree. There should have been major agressive push back from the defense from the very beginning.

I actually kinda disagree. There's a pervasive concept these days that has been getting increasingly worse, that of "confirmation bias". If a source agrees with their preset beliefs, they automatically assign it more credibility than a source that disagrees, even if the disagreeable source is obviously more accurate and true.

As a result, the people dead set against George simply wouldn't be budged no matter how much push-back there was early on, (and still aren't budged even after a trial so obviously showed the whole case for the fraud it was), whereas the trial and inevitable acquittal was plenty sufficient to sway the more rational and open minded.

I really think O'Mara handled it right, by just urging everyone to calm down and wait until the facts came out properly in court.

But of course, that's just my opinion.

I was hoping that is exactly what would happen, but it didn't. Omara did not bring out all the facts. He was aware of Trayvon's background and the fact that he was a thug, and there was proof. He didn't point out that Trayvon had wandered around for 40 minutes through another part of town. He was aware of all the lies that were being told over and over in the press and he said little or nothing about them. He didn't correct the Prosecution when it stated lies over and over. He didn't explain all the lies and coverup about Dee Dee, and let Rachel testify as if she were really the girl Trayvon was (maybe) talking to.

Omara was careful not to besmearch (as if he could) Trayvon's name and he was careful to be respectful of Traymom and Traydad, the poor bereaved parents. Balony. He knew what was what and he could have said it. I don't care what his reason for not doing so was. He didn't help George as much as he could have. :TF

I was a little impatient for all the truth to come out too about Trayvon, Trayparents, Crump, etc. But I just calmed myself down by thinking that O'Mara had plenty of experience at lawyering and maybe he knew what he was doing. I just wish he (or someone) was doing more about getting the truth out there now (such as lawsuits, etc.).

Here is another article about it today:

George Zimmerman defense: We'll ask but we expect state to pay just a fraction of his $200k to $300k in legal costs

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/loc ... 8356.story

By Rene Stutzman, Orlando Sentinel
6:47 p.m. EDT, August 27, 2013
______________

Here are some interesting items in the article:

O'Mara called that unfair and suggested that Special Prosecutor Angela Corey should have to pay the total cost, plus Zimmerman's lawyers' bills — estimated at between $1 million and $2 million — because she filed charges against an innocent man.
----------

Corey never had enough evidence to charge Zimmerman with murder or manslaughter, yet she put him on trial, lost and "then wandered back to Jacksonville," O'Mara said.
----------

Although the trial is over, the case is not. Still pending are allegations by O'Mara that Corey's lead prosecutor, Bernie de la Rionda, hid evidence.

O'Mara said he will ask Circuit Judge Debra S. Nelson to fine Corey's office $70,000 or more for that. His math: He and co-counsel Don West spent more than 200 hours trying to track down evidence that the state's star witness, Rachel Jeantel, had lied under oath before the trial began and that Corey's office hid evidence found on Trayvon's cell phone.

Good luck MOM :)

He could be right about State paying $50K... I simply dont know what the norm is....

But I would GUESS Nelson award close to ZERO in sanctions. I predict that she will rule that "no harm was done" and "faults on both sides" :wall
