I listened to Fredricka Wilson's portion from yesterday's hearing. She mentions her program which Jarvahis (sp) was/is a member. I assume she is speaking of him going through the program because he certainly wouldn't be in a position to be a mentor and if he was, I'm sure we would hear about it. Is she making this up? Or was he actually one of the young boys at risk? If so, where was Tracy, who Jarvahis claimed was the only father he ever knew.
Rumpole, any chance you can clip her portion from the hearing?

the program serves children who are being reared without the benefit of a father or a positive male role model. The waiting list of applicants is staggering."Separating symptoms from cause can be a cloudy issue at times, but Fredricka, at the very minimum, certainly gets within a degree or two of the CAUSE here.
Now if Fredricka would just work on WHY the
"waiting list of applicants is staggering" for every program set up to help children
"reared without the benefit of a father" she might find a real solution.
By natural instinct, the man is the provider, or at least he should be a part of that situation always. Where did that responsibility go? If Fredricka could just address that idea, she might reintroduce the theory of FAMILY in the minds of all involved. I have a Good Book she might find helpful in reaching such a goal.
