Is it just my dislike for him, or does it seem like Weiner was hoping this wasn't true? I mean, why contact FHP if SPD was confirming? I wonder if he tried Orlando police, maybe Alaska police who also weren't there?

Well to be fair the original story from ABC did have the SPD saying the FHP was handling the investigation into the crash. Thus a reporter wanting more information would likely contact FHP.

Thanks, SheStone. It's incredibly difficult for me to be fair to Weiner because he was so unfair, imo, when covering GZ. Him tweeting that FHP wouldn't confirm just smelled like his same old, same old.

The Daily Howler is a blog linked in the Shelby Steele piece posted earlier in this thread. The "left-of-center" blog criticizes the poor to just plain false reporting on the GZ case by the media.

Did not get toooo excited. It was announced that evidence was released after verdict, but then the DOJ "not so fast!" came along.

So.... my guess is they released some non-controversial items.. but are holding others for the witch-hunt?.... Who knows. :95

If he is railroaded again and found not guilty will it then go to The Hague?

He really did risk his life to help this family. Traybot's are everywhere, death threats are real. It would have only taken a few to recognize him and administer their own "Justice for Trayvon". He put that family's lives ahead of his own. Tells you something, doesn't it.

I think Holder would like to get GZ, but Obama wants this to go away, other than as the mention can help his agenda.

Sadly, yes, there are some who just cannot accept "not guilty" and would take it to the Hague, if possible. :wall
