What Trayvon did wrong: He brought a sidewalk to a gunfight.

Barton: Beware prosecutors who persecute
Posted: July 20, 2013 - 10:03pm | Updated: July 21, 2013 - 12:24am
By Tom Barton

It’s sometimes said that a competent prosecutor can convince a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich. That’s because the accused isn’t represented in these secret proceedings. There’s no judge either.

They can seem as one-sided as an arm-wrestling contest between Hulk Hogan and Pee Wee Herman.

But George Zimmerman, whose acquittal last weekend in the Trayvon Martin slaying triggered a week’s worth of anger and protests, wasn’t treated like ham on rye. He was never indicted for second degree murder or manslaughter by a grand jury in Sanford, Fla.

The special prosecutor that Florida Gov. Rick Scott appointed to handle this high-profile case, State Attorney Angela B. Corey of Jacksonville, chose to bypass the grand jury in Seminole County, overruling the decision her predecessor had made.

This was a critical move — and, in hindsight, a horribly irresponsible one.

Instead, Corey chose to go directly to a judge, who signed an arrest warrant for Zimmerman based on an affidavit that was so unprofessional that Harvard law professor and defense attorney Alan Dershowitz was aghast.

Dershowitz even suggested that a special prosecutor should be appointed to investigate the special prosecutor.

The Dingo Really Did Eat The Baby…. DEE-Constructing The 3.19 vs. 4.2
Posted on July 21, 2013 by sundance

After the strangest of conversations – perhaps it is time to outline the ruse a little better. Just so investigators don’t go thinking the target of their “gotcha” has too much value.

Yeah, we are going into W8 territory. Clarifying the perhaps Unclarifiable.

If you want to understand the Dee Dee scheme. You must first re-wire your previous definitions. So for the sake of this post let me eliminate names and instead replace with numbers.

On March 19th, 2012, the Scheme Team interviewed an ear witness. They labeled her Dee Dee. On April 2nd, 2012, the State of Florida interviewed an ear witness. They labeled her W8, and later Rachel Jeantel.

But for the sake of understanding what really took place, we need to reset definitions.

DeeDee is 319 (three nineteen) and W8 [Rachel Jeantel] is 42 (forty two). Got it?

Think about it......

Crump claims to have not met "Dee Dee" in person
He needed someone to "play the role" of 42 (Rachel)
He would need somebody he could trust absolutely
Crump manoeuvred to ensure he could not be present in court when Rachel testified
Note that Crump and Rachel never appear together for TV interviews.

I think Rachel is in fact CRUMP... in drag.

:OT - sort of. OTOH, it kind of goes along with what we've all been posting about the media and congress-critters getting facts wrong in this case. And, it's an all around good reminder:

Read more from Michael Crichton's speech here

I guess I don't have amnesia then, at least not since the 60's. That's when I began to work my first job in the records section of a city police department. One of my duties was to place police reports in a basket on the counter where it was available to the public. Journalists visited daily to read the reports. The information they gleaned from the reports were then published in their respective mediums. Every time, without fail, whenever I saw a published report of a police report I would never have recognized it as the same story if I didn't know that it was! How do they manage to get it so wrong each and every time? Are they taught in journalist school how to twist information?

So, it's from my own experience that has caused me, since the 60's, to take every story published by any medium with, not a grain of salt, but a whole entire box of it.

Interesting idea about TM™ hitting Traymom™, taurus. Goodness knows, sometimes I'd like to. ;) It wouldn't surprise me in the least, as I believe TM™ was out of control. Of course, it could be confusion, such as reports of TM™ hitting a bus driver being blended with reports of Traymom™ throwing him out. Hopefully, if it's true, someone will pick it up, investigate, and report. There is zero chance Traymom™ would admit it, but that doesn't mean others who knew wouldn't, or that there's not some sort of social media or other trail.

HI All...

I never could quite believe Sybrina was in this for the money, while that may be a bonus. I think she's in it for revenge. No matter how bad she knows TM was, nobody had the right to kill him. Add her guilt for throwing him out and she needs to blame someone else for the outcome.

Yes, I think there are plenty of people who know the truth, but follow the same line of thinking. And they would never "snitch" or go against the "cause". What I find strange, is the lack of friends coming forward to sing TM's praises.

Oh I think Crump and Parks convinced Sybrinia of the $$$ that were in her future if she followed their playlist. They just thought they could bully the state to settle for $$$ just as they had with the bootcamp case. They were unprepared for it to go as far as it did.

What questions did Bernie ask that someone else (Crump..._) had to help Bernie know to ask them?
