So, now, when the naysayers state "This would never have happened if Zimmerman wouldn't have gotten out of his car"....the response : "NO, if Trayvon would have been arrested, and held in juvenile detention, accordingly, for his delinquent and thug like actions, in Miama-Dade, where he's FROM, this would never have happened."

Shorter: "If only TrayMom™ hadn't booted him out of her home, he'd have never been in Sanford."

His own mother kicked him out of her house... his dad didn't take him in... he had to live with an uncle.

Yup, no argument from me on that. It was all a pr campaign, from the lies about who he was to the old pictures of him as a cherubic 12 year old and at least one even younger! For Crump and the Trayparents™ it was all about money, not justice. For the BGI, it was about power and keeping their well-paying gigs going, along with donation money to their various organizations. If racism is ever recognized as being over, what happens to the NAACP, Jackson, Sharpton, and the rest?

There are numerous publications expressing similar general views, and I'm sure most of you have read at least one over the years. This one was just handy because I had the site open to read the McCain article:

AaronGoldstein wrote:
Why Sharpton is Actually Delighted by Zimmerman’s Acquittal
Upon learning that a jury in Florida had acquitted George Zimmerman of all charges in the murder of Trayvon Martin, Al Sharpton called the verdict “an atrocity” and “a sad day in this country.”

But from where I sit, I think Sharpton couldn’t be more delighted with the verdict. The reason I believe this to be so is because an acquittal puts Sharpton in his element. An acquittal gives Sharpton an opportunity to be the center of the media spotlight to tell the world that America is still a racist country. A demagogue must have someone or something against which to rail. Sharpton couldn’t feign such outrage if there was a guilty verdict.

...

Read one more short paragraph at The American Spectator.

According to the Examiner, the UK reported on TM's school/legal troubles back in 2012, but the US media ignored it...oh boy !...

Also, in the examiner, the officer at the school said that Trayvon "looked suspicious" right before he graffitied up a locker with "WTF"....

Um, GZ said he looked suspicious and is being accused of profiling and being racist...

Rush spent roughly 2.5 hours of his 3 hour show on GZ/TM™. Now back on it after five minutes on another topic. Wow. This is so very good for GZ. Over 90% of Rush's show was directly or indirectly related to GZ case.

:69 :91

Yes... this should hit at least Fox and very likely other outlets too.

:26 :26 This makes me happy! :44

Good point Chip.

IANAL but I would imagine that even some statements from the past are worth looking at. I know there is some sort of immunity acting as prosecution, in court etc but she stepped outside that with some press statement (perhaps). As you say, certainly now she should be outside any protection.

Holder said in his prepared remarks, “we are also mindful of the pain felt by our nation surrounding the tragic, unnecessary shooting death of Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida, last year — and the state trial that reached its conclusion over the weekend.”

Unnecessary ? If someone, being 17 or 70, was on top of me, punching me in the face and banging my head against the concrete, whether I asked for it or not, I would do the same exact thing GZ did...and then I would exercise my civil right of self defense. :D

I completely agree with both you and (believe it or not!) Holder - I'd have done the same under similar circumstances; and it was totally unnecessary for TM™ to attack/assault someone who was no threat to TM™. Oh? That's not what Holder meant?

I just thought of something. If any young, black male had somebody on top of him beating him and he had a gun I am certain he would have done the exact same thing regardless of the race of the beater. I am sure 99% of young black males would have done the same thing. :TF

OMG.. :94

This article is a must read. I'm surprised it hasn't been yanked off of the net.

ok...now I'm gonna say it..."WTF"...

Quoted from above article: "There are a series of compelling articles on the web that describe Martin's alleged abuse of a powerful, home-made hallucinogenic drug called "Lean" (also known as "Skittles").

Oh, Chip - That smack was so loud even John Good would hae heard it over the rain, the tv in the background, and GZ's screams for help.

:51 Hats off to you, Chip! :)

I think if anyone had...um...anyone on top of them, beating them, and they had a gun...they would use it. I know for a fact I would. The first thing I was told by my instructor "If you pull your gun, be prepared to use it. If you hesitate, you shouldn't own a gun."

If I am not mistaken, and I very well could be, it has been along time since I have addressed slander/libel/defamation. But, if she would have worded it, such as "In my Opinion, George Zimmerman is a murder"...she would be immune, because, she has a right to her opinion. For her to blatantly call him a murderer, and that is how I, miss stickler for details sees it, she might be able to be held responsible. We shall see. :29

Rush devoting pretty much his entire show to this makes it harder for the media to totally ignore. I'm not suggesting they won't ignore it, just saying it's tougher because he has such a huge audience. I will bet that Fox will be reporting it, at least through their opinion people. (Not likely Shep - he's Trayborg™ as far as I know.)

Just a heads up, don't know how good it's going to be, but CNN just said they are having a special (commerical right now) next on Race in America and there will be voices on all sides of the issues. Could be a bust, but just in case you wanted to watch ... it is next !!!

Well, good morning, Sunshine! Image

Yes, prosecutorial immunity is pretty absolute. It would be virtually impossible to hold any of the prosecutors personally responsible for the prosecution, per se. (Illegal actions taken during a prosecution are a different matter.) However, anything said outside of court/court pleadings, whether in their official capacity or not, is fair game for defamation.
