GZ admitted to LE and neighbors immediately that he shot (at) TM™, and has never denied shooting. As you wrote, GZ denies murder because he didn't murder anyone - he killed the young man who attacked him, in or to prevent his attacker from killing him or causing him great bodily harm.

I have not heard anyone claim GZ denied shooting, even Trayborg™. What are you hearing/seeing?

I have been seeing/hearing things saying "GZ could still be held responsible for TM's DEATH"...he took 100% responsibility for the DEATH of TM (self defense)...he's denying MURDERING him (cold blood). HUGE difference.

Because I am such a literal person, it bothers me, incessantly, when people who get paid to tell the truth, of sorts, have no clue what they're talking about.

There is a barrage of information in regards to this trial, at the click of a mouse. :41

Congrats, Stacy McCain for having your GZ article mentioned on the air by Rush!

How a Miami School Crime Cover-Up Policy Led to Trayvon Martin’s Death

The February 2012 shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martion might never have happened if school officials in Miami-Dade County had not instituted an unofficial policy of treating crimes as school disciplinary infractions. Revelations that emerged from an internal affairs investigation explain why Martin was not arrested when caught at school with stolen jewelry in October 2011 or with marijuana in February 2012. Instead, the teenager was suspended from school, the last time just days before he was shot dead by George Zimmerman.

Trayvon Martin was not from Sanford, the town north of Orlando where he was shot in 2012 and where a jury acquitted Zimmerman of murder charges Saturday. Martin was from Miami Gardens, more than 200 miles away, and had come to Sanford to stay with his father’s girlfriend Brandy Green at her home in the townhouse community where Zimmerman was in charge of the neighborhood watch. Trayvon was staying with Green after he had been suspended for the second time in six months from Krop High School in Miami-Dade County, where both his father, Tracy Martin, and mother, Sybrina Fulton, lived.

This is precisely what I was thinking. If it goes to a jury, she will in no way get a fair trial. Even if she gets a change of venue...there is no way they would be able to find a jury who has no knowledge of her hubby's case, anyone that says they do know of his case, but has no opinion either way, IMO, would be fibbing. :78

That may be to her benefit, depending on jury selection, kwim?

I was interested in what Rush had to say this am concerning the fallout, DOJ, etc. Cause CNN has had ppl on talking about it. In any event, Rush mentioned about the Miami-Dade School system and hasn't said the words yet of "Baker Act", but mentioned cover up of crimes. His show just started if you want to check it out.

I thought of SD when he began about this topic and was wonder if SD will ever get the full credit for disclosure of the Baker Act stuff going on. He deserves it, however, we kinda know he's not the kind to go for the glory so to speak ... just the truth.

Hi, Ottawa925! McCain's article is linked above - gmta. :) McCain didn't link CTH in the first paragraph as the source of his school info, he linked atlas. Rush quoting from article now... this is HUGE! He has millions of listeners that hang on his every word. It's not only good for an avalanche of hits for Stacy, but also good for GZ.

Wait! Stacy does link CTH later in the piece. So Sundance will be getting a ton of hits from Stacy and indirectly from Rush.

So, basically, mom and dad knew he was a "delinquent" and shipped him off, 200 miles away.

You're right Leisel...this is HUGE ! :cool

Ok, gotcha'. Most agree GZ is likely done in court other than as plaintiff. :)

Maybe someone could alert McCain at this point in time to have them link directly into the FOIA documents that CTH dug up. The transcripts of the Internal Affairs investigation and what was discovered. Got to get in there while the topic is hot.

Quote:
In October 2011, after a video surveillance camera caught Martin writing graffiti on a door, MDSPD Office Darryl Dunn searched Martin’s backpack, looking for the marker he had used. Officer Dunn found 12 pieces of women’s jewelry and a man’s watch, along with a flathead screwdriver the officer described as a “burglary tool.” The jewelry and watch, which Martin claimed he had gotten from a friend he refused to name, matched a description of items stolen during the October 2011 burglary of a house on 204th Terrace, about a half-mile from the school. However, because of Chief Hurley’s policy “to lower the arrest rates,” as one MDSPD sergeant said in an internal investigation, the stolen jewerly was instead listed as “found property” and was never reported to Miami-Dade Police who were investigating the burglary. Similarly, in February 2012 when an MDSPD officer caught Martin with a small plastic bag containing marijuana residue, as well as a marijuana pipe, this was not treated as a crime, and instead Martin was suspended from school.

Either of those incidents could have put Trayvon Martin into the custody of the juvenile justice system. However, because of Chief Hurley’s attempt to reduce the school crime statistics — according to sworn testimony, officers were “basically told to lie and falsify” reports — Martin was never arrested. And if he had been arrested, he might never have been in Sanford the night of his fatal encounter with Zimmerman.

So, now, when the naysayers state "This would never have happened if Zimmerman wouldn't have gotten out of his car"....the response : "NO, if Trayvon would have been arrested, and held in juvenile detention, accordingly, for his delinquent and thug like actions, in Miama-Dade, where he's FROM, this would never have happened."

Finally, this is hitting mainstream... I'll be surprised if others don't pick up the school info, at least on Fox. :26

I may have to stand up and really do a happy dance irl. :17

You can access Rush's radio program online through online Radio. He's reading extensively from Stacy's article.

BTW - I follow McCain's blog.

You're welcome but we all contribute; not a big deal. No need for thanks. But thanks for your thanks. :)

That was my bad, I hadn't looked at the other links in the piece. CTH was definitely linked.

WTG, KF10 - thanks for embedding and bringing it back up. Folks don't always follow links and may miss things, and sometimes miss posts, or mean to go back and get distracted, or don't read back what was posted before they signed in. It's never a bad thing to bring up info that some may have missed. :)

I cannot believe how much time Rush spent on GZ case today. Wow. And I don't think he's done. Again... the real TM™ is finally going mainstream.

There is zero doubt Trayparents™ knew he was delinquent - multiple suspensions, a TEN-freakin'-day suspension (at least one), TrayMom™ booting him out, tweets from TrayDad™ indicating his knowledge, TM™ living with uncle who was trying to "straighten him out", having school records sealed, etc. etc. etc. There is no way they didn't know

Most definitely knew...

The reason why I said "they knew he was a delinquent" was because they tried to make him out to be perfect, and child like in the eyes of the press and the supporters. "He was a child, getting skittles and an iced tea"...*cough*...feces flows down hill Treymom/dad...get out your waders.

Holder said in his prepared remarks, “we are also mindful of the pain felt by our nation surrounding the tragic, unnecessary shooting death of Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida, last year — and the state trial that reached its conclusion over the weekend.”

Unnecessary ? If someone, being 17 or 70, was on top of me, punching me in the face and banging my head against the concrete, whether I asked for it or not, I would do the same exact thing GZ did...and then I would exercise my civil right of self defense. :D

Holder's comments, with my responses interspersed:

Eric Holder wrote:
Of course, as this celebration unfolds, we are also mindful of the pain felt by our nation surrounding the tragic, unnecessary shooting death of Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida last year – and the state trial that reached its conclusion over the weekend. As parents, as engaged citizens, and as leaders who stand vigilant against violence in communities across the country, the Deltas are deeply, and rightly, concerned about this case. The Justice Department shares your concern – I share your concern – and, as we first acknowledged last spring, we have opened an investigation into the matter.

But, at all costs, be sure not to tell your audience that not only did that investigation fail to find even a modicum of evidence of racial bias on George Zimmerman's part, it also showed that George Zimmerman reached out to blacks. Definitely don't mention the name Sherman Ware in front of such audiences.

Eric Holder wrote:
Independent of the legal determination that will be made

Spoiler alert: the legal determination will be that there's no there there, and the DOJ has no jurisdiction where no crime exists, and no motivating racial bias exists. But I'm going to obfuscate that point by launching into the same old, tried-and-true polemic about race relations.

Eric Holder wrote:
I believe that this tragedy provides yet another opportunity for our nation to speak honestly about the complicated and emotionally-charged issues that this case has raised. We must not – as we have too often in the past – let this opportunity pass. I hope that we will approach this necessarily difficult dialogue with the same dignity that those who have lost the most, Trayvon’s parents, have demonstrated throughout the last year – and especially over the past few days. They suffered a pain that no parent should have to endure – and one that I, as a father, cannot begin to conceive. Even as we embrace their example and hold them in our prayers, we must not forego this opportunity to better understand one another and to make better this nation we cherish.

Yes, let us discuss those opportunities - such as the number of children born in illegitimacy, the number of children raised without a father, and especially, the number of children killed by perpetrators of their own race.

Oh, those weren't the opportunities you were talking about...?

Eric Holder wrote:
Moreover, I want to assure you that the Department will continue to act in a manner that is consistent with the facts and the law.

(Again, I'm not going to mention that the law gives no ground for the DOJ to act. Insert flowery language here to distract.)

Eric Holder wrote:
We are committed to standing with the people of Sanford, with the individuals and families affected by this incident...

How about George Zimmerman and his family? Do you stand with them? Will you investigate the New Black Panthers Party for violating his rights through their vigilantism of offering a monetary, dead-or-alive bounty? Will you investigate the hundreds - if not thousands - who have issued death threats to them? Will you investigate Spike Lee for doxing a completely uninvolved couple who had the misfortune of living in a house mistakenly believed to be that of the Zimmermans?

Oh, those weren't the individuals and families you were talking about...?

Eric Holder wrote:
...and with our state and local partners in order to alleviate tensions, address community concerns, and promote healing. We are determined to meet division and confusion with understanding and compassion – and also with truth.

DOJ-CRS: we're from the government, and we're here to help!

Eric Holder wrote:
We are resolved, as you are, to combat violence involving or directed at young people

Does that include violence perpetrated by young people? That violence certainly involves them - just as violence perpetrated by a young person involved George Zimmerman against his will.

How about the four young thugs who beat a two-tour Marine to death? How about the four young thugs who drove a man into the street to be run over by oncoming traffic? How about the 17-year-old black kid in Chicago who was killed by a young thug for refusing to join a gang?

Oh, that's not the sort of violence involving young people that you were talking about...?

Eric Holder wrote:
...to prevent future tragedies and to deal with the underlying attitudes, mistaken beliefs and stereotypes that serve as the basis for these too common incidents.

Like "creepy ass cracka"? That sort of underlying attitude?

Oh, that's not the sort of underlying attitude you were talking about...?

Eric Holder wrote:
And we will never stop working to ensure that – in every case, in every circumstance, and in every community – justice must be done.

I daresay it was. And I think the Fifth District Court of Appeals said it best: "That the attacker sustained a mortal wound is a matter that should have been considered by the deceased before he committed himself to the task he undertook." - 5th DCA, Stinson v. State (Fl)
