A couple of things about the length of deliberations:

    1. Jeralyn of TalkLeft wrote the protests were very loud and that she would file a motion to move deliberations where the jury wouldn't hear the protests. Maybe one or more jurors were intimidated but eventually did the right thing.

    2. Or, what I think is more likely, one or more jurors tried to find the state's case.

Seriously, think about it: You know very little about this case. You're not a trial watcher, so know little about the legal process. You sit through weeks of testimony. You sit through those closing arguments. Now it's time to deliberate. It's easy to articulate the defense's theory of the case and point to evidence to back it up. What is the state's theory? Anyone? Well, there has to be one. Wouldn't you be worried that maybe you missed something? Yes, all six of you - never underestimate the low self-esteem/lack of confidence of any woman. Besides, all it takes is one who wants to understand the state's case before rendering a verdict.

So, they talk awhile, can't figure it out. Ask for the evidence list, looking for anything. Remember, E6, iirc, was checking her notes against BDLR's lying closing. And wasn't that a beautiful thing since the state was hammering on "Why lie?" The manslaughter questions could have been just about the language/legalese which apparently, they ended up resolving themselves.

I hope one of the jurors makes an anonymous statement at some point so we'll know for sure. But right now, that's what I'm thinking.

PS - Jeralyn has several posts up, see link above. :)

Edit to fix link.

Is he mad about BDLR striking the black guy that got out of his car, exchanged angry words with his tenant, returned to his car, grabbed a bat, and then returned to the scene of the dispute to SYG?

Some of the libtard commenters at TL are mad. :) Attack somebody - get shot. Break into somebody elses house - get shot. Y U mad, bro? Are you a burglar? A thug? A wannabe victim? No? Then Y U mad?

What people should be angry about is the genocide going on in cities like Chicago. If all of the people intent on persecuting GZ and his family would turn their focus and energies to correcting those things, they could really effect positive change. That's something most, if not all, of the people here could get behind.

Unfortunately, the "leaders" of the movement, Crump et al, were only looking for money. They didn't and don't care a whit about justice, or about violence being a leading cause of death for young black men.

Hi, menostupid! Thanks for catching that - all fixed now. And here's the correct link.

I am really sick of the protests. I don't think they even know why they are protesting. If you hear the ones interviewed, they don't even know the case.

They really are so primal.

Agreed, mbtb. Their "handlers" (the BGI, Crump et al, media, etc.) have lied to them and whipped them into a frenzy. They think they know what happened. I can't remember which media outlet it was for sure, but early on one outlet had their own animation that showed a huge hulking adult shooting a young, skittles carrying child in the back from several feet away. If that's what happened, I'd have been as upset as them. Of course, I wouldn't riot, loot, engage in arson, or anything of the sort. But some communities are taught that's how to get things. Seriously. SMH

Thank G-d. Justice has been done.
I saw the gal on MSNBC with her "grainy 7/11 video" talk. The video was in living color. Nothing grainy about it. Even at the end, they can't stop lying and trying to advance the narrative. The "child" towers over the clerk.

The Trayvon Martin Case, Update #35: NOT GUILTY!

It’s official: NOT GUILTY. I’m going to wait for a day or two before posting a sort of final article on this phase of the story. Why wait? We need to allow the dust to settle and wait to see how many of our fellow citizens decide this is a particularly appropriate time for some purchase price free shopping for consumer electronics and similar goods. We may be seeing quite a bit of the “conversation” about race so many have been hoping to have.

Keep in mind that this case is far from over. As I’ve mentioned, I’ll expect the Federal Department of Justice to announce their attack on Zimmerman this coming week. There will be a flurry of civil suits, filed not only by Zimmerman, but attempts by the Martin family, the scheme team and others. And there is the continuing perjury case against Shellie Zimmerman.

Hi, cherpa1! Hey, you knew it was going to happen -- the prosecutors were totally classless last night too. I am still SMH over BDLR telling the media to go after the jurors. Wow. What an incredibly vindictive, small, small person he is.

BDLR said he's won 78 of 79 murder cases before this one. Wanna bet his loss was also someone clearly innocent? MOM said it appeared to him that BDLR cherry picked cases with a ton of evidence against the defendant, and cases where the defendant didn't have the money to put on a good defense.

That's how BDLR has so many wins.

Oh, and hiding discovery, and the other dirty tricks, I'm sure helped BDLR's win record.
