They believe RJ's story, that GZ started the conflict, and the defense argued against giving a 776.041 self-defense by initial aggressor instruction?

They ordered dinner. They're working late. I hope that's a good sign. Maybe once they get the manslaughter question out of the way, they'll be ready to acquit. :)

Citizens of Florida be VERY afraid.

If a citizen can be this close to being locked away for 25 years to life... based on NO EVIDENCE, trumped up charges, and a deceitful charade of a trial... I would be leaving the State... NOW!

Once in a "scuffle" all that mattered is it was reasonable for GZ to fear great bodily harm.... even if he punched first.

The State has offered no theory other than the "Scuffle" with TM on top.

What's the Jury's problem?

Sometimes you end up with a juror who is 'difficult'. I have been on one jury. We had a juror who said she wasn't sure because she really thought the State should have called the defendant's accomplice to testify as to what happened. We had to point out to her that the accomplice was also charged and was being tried separately so the State couldn't force that person to testify. She still seemed a bit wishy washy on it. So we started going through each of the points to see what she agreed on to see what we needed to do to help her. So you see it can be difficult.

Very much so. Those jurors went by what Baez said (which isn't evidence) rather than by actual evidence. Very sad.

It would be great if the question were along the lines of, "Can getting out of his truck constitute the 'intentional act'?"

FOX35 interviewing protesters, one with hoodie and 12 year old picture with GZ Guilty sign. Reporter asked why he felt George was guilty and if he watched the trial. His response...George was told to stand down and he didn't follow orders. Asked what he would do if not guilty...God would take care of justice. My take was God would take care of justice through him. Reporters also interviewed 2 guys who had a verbal confrontation earlier, GZ supporter (white), TM supporter (black). Sounds like things might be heating up.

My husband and I have discussed that very point several times... But don't think it's limited to Florida. It could happen anywhere in the US.

We've been out all evening. Took my wife to pick up her CCW license, then we took the girls to a summer festival at a local school for the blind, and then dinner. So, I just got back to catch up on the "jury question".

My suspicion, reading through everything? Somebody wants to know if Zimmerman can be found guilty of manslaughter for a "negligent act" (i.e. getting out of the truck).

Once that question is answered (no, he can't), the holdout will be forced to admit that the State presented no evidence of a deliberate act of Zimmerman's that caused the physical altercation, and they'll acquit.

And hide for a month, and tell blatant lies, lawyer up, get your family to hold impromptu psycho press conferences in the street....

What was George thinking.... he had the blueprint.

Not quite.

The jury just sent out a question asking for clarification on manslaughter with no specifics.

The Judge has now sent back a note to get more specific as to what their question is. The jury went to supper for an hour and we are waiting for their response.

Thanks, Chip. I respect your opinion, and I hope you are right.
