I'm getting concerned...an aquittal would have been quick.

Many joked about a quick decision, but there are a few things to do just to get started. They have to choose a foreman. They each have 27 pages of instructions all 6 have to at least agree they understand. They have new evidence if there is any questions. They know for a fact that the prosecution lied to them, so who do you think they trust in the way of attorneys?

Going back to hotel to sleep on it before announcing verdict in the morning? Otherwise, why adjourn so early?

Have they dismissed the alternates?

So they are not to discuss the case while adjourned. Well, I've been on four juries. Human nature is if one or two are of the opposition, its hard to disguise it while sitting down at dinner that there is some building tension.

Yes, alternates dismissed when they went back to deliberate.

Keep in mind too. The Traybots are screwed either way. If it turns out like it should, they lost. If it is any type of conviction, DCA will overturn it before George leaves the court house. If it is hung and the state is dumb enough to try again, they have to deal with us for another year.

They made up their mind for not guilty but they figured they would get one more night without the kids :)

I am sorry to keep referencing the Anthony trial, but it's one that many are familiar with. The jurors went back to their hotel one night, came in "dressed up" the next morning and basically rendered their verdict.

May have nothing to do with early adjournment here. Maybe they were just hungry. We'll see in the morning. :)

I would think this would be a good answer, this way no one can claim they made their decision too fast without giving it any thought.

That was astonishing...what happens if one of the seated jurors has a medical emergancy? No alternates!!!

Will the DCA overturn it that quickly? I would like to think so...going to be difficult to sleep tonight with my anxiety.

Interesting that O'Mara mentioned his pinkie ring to the jurors. He must read CTH.
