He was talking about the morgue photos, but only held up the picture of TM in life.

Again, making a scene. I don't think all of the jurors will be impressed with their suffering. I sure am not. Always trying to draw attention to themselves. Remember, they have pushed this as the "Trayvon Martin Trial", justice for Trayvon, etc. :TF

SheStone and CinnamonToast - I agree and repeat, just shows who and what they are. I agree with kbp that this is likely to backfire. I think the jury is totally focusing on what MOM is saying and showing. They won't like the interruption.

The jurors with children, most if not all, will recognize attention seeking. They may even recognize the attempt to play them by acting as if she couldn't bear to see that photo for the 1000th time (and couldn't just close her eyes or look away), and was so distraught at the idea that the rest had to follow her to comfort her. Some, I predict, will find it offensive and it will make it easier to "disappoint" her.

Agree! I click post page into new window, which eliminates all previous posts up to that.

O’Mara showing a photo of Martin says that is the person that attacked Zimmerman and broke his nose.

He shows a dark photo taken from the scene.

O’Mara says all that is known is when Zimmerman went back to his car, Martin went toward Zimmerman in the dark and they know what happened.

He says lying is with the intent to deceive and asks why Zimmerman would give six statements.

He says Zimmerman knows whatever the state wants him to know like self-defense, but doesn’t know Miranda.

“It defies explanation,” O’Mara says.

He says mud on the knees of Martin’s pants doesn’t defy explanation.

Zimmerman was on his back in the grass getting beat up, O’Mara says.

O’Mara asks what reasonable doubt is.

He says they should start with the presumption of innocence until it is taken away by evidence.

“I almost wish the verdict had guilty, not guilty and completely innocent because I would ask you to check that one,” he says, telling the jurors he has never said that in a criminal trial.

He says Surdyka is an example of someone’s ability to remember a traumatic event.

He says it is the jurors’ call about Bahadoor’s testimony.

Roots testimony of looking at the totality of the circumstances is what they can look at about witnesses agreeing, O’Mara says.

He tells them not to bring their presumptions and assumptions and to only decide on what they are certain of.

“Don’t do it because you feel sorry for anyone,” O’Mara says.

I didn't see him hold up the 2nd picture until after Sybrina stormed out of the courtroom. I couldn't tell what the 2nd picture showed.

I guess O'Mara is allowed to point out who they didn't call.

I also like that he is pointing out following not illegal in the end so it will be fresh in their minds.

:Gslap :Gslap :lol

Tell me about it! But I do understand because it stops me from posting a duplicate fairly regularly. When it's really annoying is when, like last night, I spent minutes formatting a post about an article, only to see Rumpole had already posted it! (So I kept the formatting, changed the links, and posted another article.)

But when we're all enthralled, like with MOM's closing, and want to get something out, yes, very, very frustrating.

Pro Tip: I keep two tabs open, one for reading, the other for posting. I refresh the "posting tab" before pasting my comment and posting. It really seems to help. Then I backspace on my reading page and I'm right back where I left off. :)

O'Mara: "How many times has it been said that Trayvon Martin wasn't armed?"

MOM has very effectively mocked the state so much, Guy may be reformulating his close as I type. Or, as Jerilyn Merritt of TalkLeft suspected, he's planning on dirty tricks to win the day.

How dare that heard of stomping family and attorneys walk out loudly during closing arguments. Is that suppose to prove something to the jury other than they are assholes?

Again, nail meet hammer. That's exactly what it proved.

Bernie pointed out what the defense did not present.

Prosecutor Guy's first line: Your honor, may we have a short recess, maybe a week or so?
