Witness: Doris Singleton - Sanford investigator

1:40 p.m.
O’Mara asks her if she was present when Investigator Serino met with Tracy Martin.

De la Rionda objects to hearsay. They approach for a sidebar.

1:38 p.m.
The defense calls Doris Singleton.

1:37 p.m.
The jury is seated. Judge Nelson checks to make sure they didn't research the case or see any reports about.

Oooooh... I just had a thought... (yes, really!)...

In rebuttal the state may bring a parade of witnesses to say it was TM™ screaming. Seems to me that may open the door for the defense to play a recording of TM™ for comparison, such as the homeless guys fighting over a bicycle audio. Then jury would hear TM™'s voice and could make their own determination.

Prejudice, audio only!

Pink is not Sybrina's color. Traydad always looks the same in pictures. Like his face is frozen in place. Corey is there.

OK, Singleton back on the stand regarding the playing of the tape where Traydad said that wasn't his son screaming?

Imagine that: O'Mara asks Singleton to describe the circumstances surrounding Tracy Martin's meeting with Serino. BDLR immediately objects to hearsay, and asks to approach. Nelson, of course, allows him to approach.

Just sidebar. Rene Stutzman suggested it was over Richardson complaint.

And now Serino back to the stand. He can certainly testify regarding what Tracy Martin told him.

I so agree - pink is NOT her color and that hideous pink evening dress she wore was a bad choice all around.

Tracy knows he's getting called soon. Has to be getting nervous.

State likely to object. Tracy is there and can speak for himself. Of course, this may have already been cleared up at the bench.

If Serino testifying regarding what Tracy Martin told him is hearsay, why wasn't Mark Osterman testifying regarding what Zimmerman told him likewise hearsay?

You know, this happens so much that it may sink in to the jurors. But I don't pick up the friendly relationship Belvin Perry had, which may have engendered a desire to please him. I mean, the jury may be negatively influenced by the bias shown, especially if there are any "underdog" women on it.

Bernie is upset. Serino called back in. I saw Singleton flash daggers at Bernie when she walked in. Traydad just sitting there with his face frozen, but chewing gum.

I think he has a natural dumb look.

Dubious is an understatement describing that bunch, starting with Corey. Notice Traydad™ in a suit.
