Zimmerman Update Exclusive — Mid-Day 8 — State Wins Evidentiary Battle, Loses Testimony War

Today seemed to begin with a rare and much needed “win” for the State prosecutors. Unfortunately, what followed was a relentless unraveling of that win into a snatching of defeat from the jaws of victory. First, however, we should start with what little good news the State received today.

I'd love to be able to read what the intelligent posters at CTH are saying about today's trial, but there is no way I can weed through 655 comments. Does anyone have a consenses of the tempo there?

It seems significant to me that Trayvon was a possible contributor to the stain on Zimmerman’s right cuff. That’s his gun hand. If Trayvon’s DNA is there, it supports Zimmerman’s claim that Trayvon was going for his gun and he trapped Trayvon’s hand against his arm.

From the trial thread:

kbp wrote:
Then I assume you're saying Nelson did not assign specific blame for any specific date missed by either party for the deposition.

Nelson assigned all blame to the defense and wouldn't allow explanation. There was no mention of any specific date set and missed that I heard.

I was (finally) almost caught up in the trial thread when Nelson shocked us all and recessed. Thank you to everyone for all of the comments, updates and recaps. I feel like I didn't miss anything, even with many afks. Well done!

Me neither.. and to my mind (IANAL) I would have thought there was a requirement to table basic info such as cause and manner of death..... and you need to verify credentials of person doing that.. as they have had to with Clubhouse video, school records etc... it seems to be a rule :40 :40 :40

After all.... with no prints on the trigger.. who's to say it's not suicide? :cool
