Thinking back to the smell test introduced by the state in the Anthony trial, maybe the defense should allow Reich and Owen to testify.

Maybe this was their point in the Frye hearing. It introduce these guys to the world lol

Forensic acoustics expert Alan Reich of Seattle, who is not working on the case, said a sketchy, preliminary voiceprint comparison can be made between the 911 caller and Jewell's taped interviews. If there is a likeness, the agents can then get a court order forcing Jewell to give them a tape saying the fateful words. Reich said he believes the FBI must not have made that initial positive link because it has not tried to compel Jewell to give it a voiceprint. The 911 caller was described by police as having an "indistinguishable" accent. Jewell has a pronounced Southern drawl. Reich said voiceprint analysis can be hampered if a suspect tries to disguise his voice, but a spectrograph machine can find the underlying similarities of timbre and intonation.

Note they aren't tentative because he hasn't ultimately decided, because he has ultimately decided in his opinion (strong might I add), but at the same time the metrics weren't ideal enough to give a strong definitive opinion...

This guy is clear as mud.

If Reich is allowed to testify and I'm #Zimmerman defense, I ask to replay his testimony solely to show how hard-of-hearing he is.
