As the trial draws near... Traybot cretins homing in on the "Strong Case" that "they" have.......

Presenting.....

THE "STRONG" CASE FOR THE PROSECUTION

As outlined by their spokesdog, Bigboi

For your analysis (perhaps) ... but mainly just for laughs :lol

There are plenty of factual errors there (what's new?), but none of that does either of these two critical things:

1) Disproves self-defense beyond a reasonable doubt
2) Proves second-degree murder beyond a reasonable doubt

I agree Chip.

They don't seem to even have a hypothesis where they propose what DID happen.

No doubt if they offered one.... it would lack any evidence to prove it... it would be "Maybe it happened like this"

The prosecution case can not simply be "Something happened, we have no evidence of exactly what... but NOT WHAT ZIMMERMAN SAID"

What is "surprising" is that Nasty doesn't seem to understand the meaning of "Not final until time expires to file motion for rehearing"

Was there another State Discovery release on Monday?

Where is Defence Sup. Discovery 4?

I can't wait to see what BDLR attempts to do with the information that Zimmerman "trained" at a gym that "specializes" in kickboxing and fighting. So, because Zimmerman lifted some weights there, he learned MMA by osmosis?

Maybe BDLR is going to file a case demanding that the gym refund Zimmerman's money.

NatJack: Hey there Mark. I'm guessing you got the news yesterday that you can depose Crump any time today.

O'Mara: Hello Ms. Jackson. Unfortunately we had not left our schedule open anticipating this opportunity. You know, with 2 days of hearings coming up and a trial to prepare for. Howabout we see if this weekend works?

NatJack: No problem here, Crump is actually looking forward to the depo ASAP.

O'Mara: Great, I'll ring our videographer to see if he works on weekends.

CLICK

(only for humor, however weak it may be)

Interesting legal snippet from CTH.....

Quote:
MJW says:
June 4, 2013 at 4:38 pm

If it were all the judges, it would say en banc. “Per curiam” means an opinion issued in the name of the court instead of under the name of one of the panel judges and joined by the other concurring members. You can tell it was a three judge panel because the judge’s names — Lawson, Evander, and Cohen — are listed at the end as concurring.

I’m not really sure what the significance is of listing it as per curiam. As far as I know, per curiam decisions are usually very brief decisions with little analysis. The court is sort of saying the issue is so clear, that it warrants little consideration. This decision seems pretty detailed, with quite a bit of analysis and a variety of cites to case law. I do think by issuing the decision as per curiam, the court may be saying that Judge Nelson’s ruling was an obvious error.

The article refers to something in State's 17th Suplimentary Discovery.... filed Monday... not posted at Court Site or GZLegal for us peasants to see... so all we know is what Rene chooses to share.

We await State 17 AND Defence 4 Discovery :59

There is always Thursday and Friday!

I completely withdraw my complaint against O'Mara:
Quote:
In a separate pleading, defense attorney Mark O'Mara has asked the judge to ban prosecutors from using several specific terms, ones he describes as "inflammatory".

They include "profiled", "vigilante", "self-appointed Neighborhood Watch captain", "wannabe cop" and the phrases "He got out of the car after the police told him not to", and "He confronted Trayvon Martin".

In his paperwork, filed Monday, O'Mara writes that there is no evidence Zimmerman confronted Trayvon and that it's a oft-repeated "misstatement" that a police dispatcher told Zimmerman not to get out of his vehicle.

Wrote O'Mara, "There is little probative value by the use if these terms and the danger of unfair prejudice to the jury is substantial."

WOW... thanks KF10

I missed that... :eek
(I just saw headline and got sidetracked to twitter sewer to see their reaction)

In fact I thought you were being sarcastic with a quote of what MOM should say :lol

But I read it now... well done MOM!!

But why oh why is this stuff secret? GZLegal has a website.... to publicise this sort of thing... they are already "damned" (by Bernie) for having it... so this late in the game, why not USE IT and keep us informed, drum up support?

But...but...but...if BDLR can't use those phrases, there ain't nuthin' left for him to say! :cry

Unless...surely you're not suggesting that he should use...um, what's that word again? begins with an E...oh yeah, EVIDENCE! Have a heart, willya? How can he use what he doesn't have? :59

Speaking of evidence, re that story about GZ and the gym, what's the betting that the truth will turn out to be that several years ago (maybe around the time of that pic in the orange shirt), he took out a membership, attended for a while, lost some weight, and then attended less and less frequently till at last his membership lapsed. That's the way it works with most people, after all, and if there were really any damaging information, we'd be getting details instead of spin. C'mon, we've all seen the pix and video from the night of TM's attack, and GZ ain't exactly ripped!

I am waiting for the MOM motion to ban Prosecutors from Flapping their arms.

It is MOST distracting. Possibly enforce the rules of traditional Irish Dance... arms still at the sides.... but Bernie still allowed to tap dance around the court"

Which reminds me... I already have a suitable Jib Jab :)
