This is hilarious!! :lol

FINALLY, some good news for the defense in the DCA Judge Frump smack down! So now that jerk Crump, according to Natalie Jackson, is ready to do the depo as soon as tomorrow? :doh I do hope this Crump nonsense WILL be reason for a trial delay. His game-playing makes me want to SCREAM!

True. I still can't believe the trial is almost upon us. I still can't process the insanity of charging this man with murder 2.

I wonder how CN, PAPAPIPI, LilMissPriss and the gang are taking the DCA decision.

Oh, that's easy. They'll probably whine that Robert Zimmerman, Sr. (he was a MAGISTRATE in VIRGINIA, doncha know :roll ) was able to influence the DCA.

OR, there's the old go-to excuse: the DCA of Florida is rayyyyyycissssss!

Thank you so much for the welcome!

I read the coven of Traybots at JQ and I think, "Real people can't be that stupid, right?" But just the fact that this case is going to trial with this level of charges is indicative of how stupid, mindless idiocy overrules rationality each and every day in this country.

Ugh... :wall

MOM, however, is giving the impression to the listener that the jury will have to decide who STARTED it. According to Dershowitz ... it doesn't matter who started it.

From the CNN transcript:

DERSHOWITZ: Well, it wouldn't be very relevant evidence. It would be marginally relevant.

But let me show you why this is not a civil rights case. Let's hypothesize George Zimmerman was completely wrong, that he was a racist, that he stopped this young man for all the wrong reasons. Let's assume that for a moment. But then let's assume the young man got on top of Zimmerman and started banging his head at a point where he could kill him. At that point, was George Zimmerman entitled to save his own life, even if he was the wrongdoer initially by using lethal force?

The law says yes, even without Stand Your Ground. So even though George Zimmerman, might -- I'm not saying he was -- might have been a racist who was at fault and who started this, he might still have the right of self-defense under Florida law.

Thank you for posting this, forensic! Since MBTB and Ottawa mentioned it, I've been curious as to Dershowitz's exact words!

What in the world is MOM doing? :40

The bolded is so well said, CT!

Yes, THOSE JQers can be that stupid, vicious and nasty. (I had to :lol at: "coven of Traybots at JQ." )

Possible that Omara hasn't posted 4th discov because he is expecting something more? Such as charges being dropped? He seems like he would be inclined, were he asked, to hold off on something more damning if he knew the worm was gonna turn. IDK, just speculating aloud.

Seriously does anybody know where there is a two sided place where people can have a calm, truly civilized, two sided "discussion"?

I'm always willing to have a civil, two-sided conversation.

Let's start here: what evidence exists that either disproves beyond a reasonable doubt that Zimmerman acted in self-defense, or else that proves beyond a reasonable doubt that Zimmerman committed second-degree murder.

I've been open to consideration of such evidence for the past year. Unfortunately, nobody has ever actually presented any such evidence.

Joni: I was sincere about engaging in a two-sided discussion, and would love to know what evidence you would present from the State's perspective.

Something which puzzles me is this: when I followed the Casey Anthony case (almost the only other case I've ever paid close attention to) deposition videos of all sorts of people like her parents were released all along the way... and yet here, no video of any deposition has been released to my knowledge.

Why is this? Can we expect them later? When?

There is no doubt: It was Zimmerman screaming.

I agree, Mike McDaniel as always writes a great article

"Crump, Nelson and Bondi lost on every point of law and reason, and the Appeals Court
did not attempt in any way to salve their feelings."

Maybe it's because I live in NJ and my parents always used to talk about the Newark riots, but I'm a little nervous about any rabid reactions that will take place if GZ is rightfully acquitted. My husband thinks I'm just a worrywart.

My sister has a loaded shotgun under her bed in her house and I have large dogs and an alarm system. We live in a lovely, suburban family town with basically zero crime. But I still worry. (Small children in the house - guess I'm on momma alert!)

I am thrilled at the DCA's decision on Nelson's ludicrous ruling re: Crunk's depo. Hopefully the trend will continue.

The fact that there is even a fear that certain people won't be able to react to disappointment speaks volumes. There is a history of people using a bad reaction to justify aberrant behavior and none of it should be tolerated.

It amounts to TERRORISM!!!

They should but we have already seen the feckless response to the destruction done by the OWS protests and previous behavior arising from sports celebrations, birthday parties, verdict disappointments, etc. (you pick the umbrage du jour).

I get so angry about this because they allow criminals to destroy businesses/homes that people have spent their lifetimes building.

The reason we have to fear riots from that segment of the population is the same reason nobody will point out when they've attained positions of power they aren't qualified for (ie Ben Crump, almost everyone on the congressional caucus... etc) and the same reason charges were brought in this case.

White America has become so absolutely terrified of being called racist, that they have scaled back expectations of behavior, achievement, integrity, basic humanity etc... by a HUGE margin for that demographic. It's like the spoiled child that has figured out it can get away with anything, and that a tantrum is all that is required to get it's way. Or that it can call child protective services and make something up if it doesn't get it's way.

The only way to stop behavior like that is to stand up to it and re-grow your spine, either as a parent or a teacher or a society... but such spines are rare indeed these days.

One side or the other simply must call W8 so we can all finally learn what kind of sound is made by "the grass thing". I want to hear that mysterious sound explained ...doesn't everybody? And the ping logs and GPS data... Absolutely, I want that too.

First question of Crump in his deposition:
Mr. Crump, what is "the grass thing"? :Gslap
