TIMING is so important. That very upset email that Travis wrote was WHEN - JURY????? After ALL the above abuse? Stalking? Do THEY KNOW what that is? I DO. I was stalked for years. Probably one reason I moved away.

Read above LINK to see some of the abuses Jodi did to Travis. HOW much CAN a man take? She destroyed every single new relationship he was trying to start. So he wrote that livid email? So what!!
ONE email when a guy is at his wits end??

AND read about Borderline Personality Disorder -- and it does sometimes lead to physical violence! (They are SO nuts and unreasonable). So EVEN IF IT DID ... THAT was Travis' fault???

I was so disgusted with the hung jury yesterday, I shut off the TV and computor and sulked.

The Jury foreman was just on GMA and he believes Travis abused Jodi. the putz.

Sorry there was a server outage. I get no warning.

I am in communication with the server people..... I have said that their letting me down puts me in the position of letting my members down. After a year... they have GREATLY improved the server performance when it is running, but still have an occasional outage. I am demanding they fix this.

We can't forget we WON the really BIG ONE, didn't we? Murder 1 conviction. I wonder if some compromised to give us that?

AND TOO, they found that it was heinous. So 2 for 2. The big ones.

THIS is not over, just a delay. I am so hurt though for the on-going pain and cost/loss to the Alexander family. I HOPE they don't break up some marriages due to this horrendous stress (often happens), lose their JOBS, lose their HOUSES, lose the once GOOD HEALTH, hurt their babies emotionally. Steven's baby cries every time he has to leave her to go to AZ for the trial. Emotional abuse ... second generation?

IS IT crying because "IT" thought "IT" would get LIFE and get that D.P. off the table? I guess so. Looks sad ... poor widdle thing.

I wonder how much of a "review" they will have to go thru to bring the new jury up to speed?

I cannot STAND her HUGE FACE and murdering HUGE HANDS!! I wonder if she used 2 identical knives at the same time, not just one? She is like that.

Glimpse of the jury. See the one that looks like Jodi's mother? Near the end I think ... long dark hair.

The pony tail guy, (grey very long pony tail), left by another exit. Alone. He was the "loner". Took public transportation.
Jane VM ran after him for 3 blocks. Did get some pictures of him.

Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery said in a statement today that he is going for the retry:

"We appreciate the jury's work in the guilt and aggravation phases of the trial and now we will assess, based upon available information, what the next steps will be. As of this point in time, the Court has set a Status Conference for June 20 and we will proceed with the intent to retry the penalty phase. Because, for purposes of a jury determination on punishment, this is still a pending matter, there will be no further comment."

If the state decides not to move forward with a new penalty phase, Judge Sherry Stephens would sentence Arias to life in prison.

For now, it means Arias won't be moving just yet from county jail to a cell in a state prison. Maybe she'll let less-than-friendly reporters interview her -- she'll be jonesing for some airtime, no doubt.

It also means some jury members will soon be granting interviews -- that'll be interesting. These folks have dedicated about five months of their lives to Jodi Arias.

Millions of viewers worldwide are feeling relieved or disappointed at this outcome, which follows the jury's indecision following their May 8 conviction of Arias for first-degree premeditated murder.

Arguably, the mistrial is the biggest surprise of the entire case. The facts of the investigation showed that Arias planned the murder before she killed the 30-year-old Alexander, so a first-degree murder conviction was a good bet.

Whether or not to execute Arias, now 32, for the crime was always the more subjective decision.

The jury decision for the Jodi Arias trial was split 8 to 4.....8 for death and 4 for life. That tells me that this was NOT a death qualified jury that 'could' give the death penalty in the end....even though they swore under oath that they could in the beginning. Apparently the vote was 7 to 5 in the beginning with one moving over to vote for death but the four remaining were adamant from the beginning of deliberations in NOT voting for death.

Here is an interview with the Jury Foreman on GMA today. They bought into Jodi's abuse theory.....believing she WAS indeed abused by Travis Alexander. How are they going to feel when they get out from under the rocks they've been living under.....and hear the full story? Evidence that Judge Stephens would NOT let in for them to hear. The stalking, the slashing of his tires (not once, but twice), the breaking into his email account, his My Space account, his bank account..........and they didn't like how Martinez was so aggressive. They said they couldn't believe looking at Jodi that she could have done what she did......although she admitted she did. In other words, they bought her story.

Now that the ban is 'lifted' from these jurors......let them enjoy hearing the 'real' story about Jodi Arias. I would love to be in a room with these jurors when they see her standing on her head, taunting Travis' family in interview after interview....NOT TO MENTION......her saying....'this jury has betrayed me.' Well no they didn't Ms. Arias......this jury did NOT betray YOU. They betrayed Travis Alexander and his family.

If I thought I was disappointed in the Casey Anthony jurors....and we all know we were....this trial has touched my heart more than any I've ever watched. I can't wait for these jurors to hear the 'real' story about Jodi Arias. The story that Judge Stephens did not allow Martinez to present....his hands were tied. How could these jurors MISS seeing thru her? Her lies and then more lies? But they bought into her story.

Travis never abused Jodi. We all know that......how did they miss this? Considering all that Jodi did to him.....I would have written some pretty negative emails too....I think we all would have. She deserves Death for her heinous crime.

It was announced this morning that Wilmott and Nurmi ARE staying on her case. Surprise! Surprise! After all the whining and motions filed to withdraw from this case. Wow! Looks like the $250 an hour was more appealing to them after all. There should be no excuses for them to ask for delays.....but we know they will....because they know this case inside and out.

What did I tell ya?? The hung jury could be a GOOD thing. Looks like do-overs result in firm verdicts!

Arizona juries that couldn’t decide on death penalty

There have been at least five hung juries in the death-penalty phase of cases in Maricopa County since a 2002 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that juries and not judges should determine if there are sufficient reasons, called aggravating factors, to sentence a murderer to death.

If the jury cannot reach a decision in the penalty phase, the state has the right to ask for a new jury, which it did in four of the cases.

In three of those, the new jury gave death. In one, the defendant got life after two juries reached hung decisions. In the other, the state decided not to ask for a new jury. A brief look at each case:

ok, listened to the foreman:

- this man first mentioned how the 18 days on the stand didn't do Jodi any favors, that she had a lot of contradictions - and then he segued into that because Juan Martinez is"known for his aggressive style") and "that had to be hard," was he SERIOUSLY insinuating that is why Jodi had so many "contradictions"????? Because of Martinez??? Seriously, dude???

- "couldn't wrap mind around such a young woman committing such a brutal crime, then says in next breath they can't weigh emotions :roll - Hey, she admitted that SHE did it!!

- regarding how it was difficult to hear the family statements and not being able to show emotions, he said, "I was proud of my .......peers......my jurors...." Huh? YOUR jurors?? They belong to you?? How about your FELLOW jurors!! :roll (people who say this are so obnoxious! and I know it has some kind of ugly psychological meaning because I know a couple people who are managers that say this - MY employees, MY workers - and it is arrogant!)

Didn't like this guy AT ALL! :41

Joni - for the LIFE of me, I don't understand WHERE the disconnect happened after they unanimously voted the crime was CRUEL and HEINOUS!?? Where else could they go in their minds? Jodi more than met any qualifications for DEATH. I don't get what happened?

JanC - thinking more about what you said, can you imagine these jurors watching her change her pathetic demeanor as soon as they left the courtroom, the "diva" requests when doing her media interviews, the Troy Haden FOX interview 20 minutes after their guilty verdict? How about the wanting death statement to Troy Hayden? Hearing how she said she thought "the jurors betrayed" her? Seeing how many times her attorneys asked to get off the case?

This is just off the top of my head. Thinking of all this is making me ANGRY!

Remote -- I sincerely hope the jury holdouts get sick to their stomachs when they see Jodi's media appearances. There HAD to be at least two of the four holdouts who discovered too late in the game they actually were NOT death penalty qualified.

(But hey ... at least they convicted her and didn't let her walk free and right into the next guy's bed. Unlike the Pinellas Pinheads.)

While deciding with a coin toss we introduced the concept of "practice" goes.

The 4 rogue jurors should have been made to toss a coin... TAILS means DEATH..

..... and they can have as many goes as they need to get TAILS :cool

Exactly! See how easy it would've been to reach a consensus? :TF

Four of them lied that they could impose the death penalty at the beginning of this case because they didn't know. Pffft
