Even IF she had some art ability...

She will be too shagged out after a long day on the Chain Gang to teach Night Classes :60

Good point, rumpy. :94

I don't think jodi has the balls to beg for her life, she will rely on someone else to do it for her.
Yesterday, in court, while the siblings were speaking, she was looking at them with the hopes
that they would say they forgive her. In my opinion, she was wanting them to say, "Yes, my
brother was a nasty dude, and poor little jodi had to kill him, so please forgive her." I think
that's what jodi was thinking. According to jodi, "Someone" just "has" to feel sorry for her.

:DN4 But it ain't me, babe. NO, no no, it ain't me, babe... :DN4

A little about Juan M. He IS very private.

The following is compiled by Sarah Andrus:
Juan Martinez is the 7th of 8 children born to illiterate Mexican farmworkers. He and his family immigrated to California when he was 6. He learned English as a child, noting that "you couldn't get very far if you didn't know it". He was a long distance runner in his Victorville, CA high school. After finishing his undergraduate degree, he managed a drug store, and finished law school at ASU. He was admitted to the AZ state bar in 1984, where he worked for Community Legal Services, did some defense work, and joined the Maricopa County Attorney's Office in 1988. He is considered one of AZ's top death penalty prosecutors and known for his meticulous attention to detail and rarely accepting plea bargains.

I hope Jodi's mind (MIND???) wanders back to Daryl. What a nice man, testifying TWICE for IT.
They bought a home together and she "SAYS" (Jodi lie???) it had a pool? She was almost there then.
I heard Daryl didn't want anymore children.

But, ANYTHING would be better than her walk-in closet! MOST of them are bigger than her cell, mine was.

She never read Aesop's Fables? OR had them read to her? "The Dog And The Bone" is the one that applies here. It was read to me often ... and all the others too. Ha ha ha, so the dog sits there in jail now, soon to be Prison. NEVER ENOUGH!

From what I have read no representatives from the Mormon Church have visited Jodi. I read when asked about the death penalty, someone from the church said we don't agree with the DP, but we don't disagree either. It appears the Mormon Church has distanced themselves from the killer.

I read somewhere that once you are found guilty, they delete you from the rolls! You are no longer considered a Mormon.

Also read that they believe in the laws of the land and neither approve or disapprove of the death penalty. All of Travis's Mormon family and friends say they think Jodi should get the death penalty.

Joni - you're right. For Darryl Brewer to testify on Jodi's behalf, he must really care for her. Someone like her needed someone stable, mature and grounded like him. I'm sure she found him too old for her (20 year age difference?) and she was in no kind of "settling down" mode at that time of her life.

I was unfamiliar with and googled Aesops "The Dog and the Bone" and watched a 5 minute video of the fable (there were other ones that I'd like to sit and watch as well). Quite appropriate!

Remote .. Aesop's Fables (book) would be a GREAT present for any child, don't you think? Had Jodi been taught when little, don't be a PIG about things, be cool, satisfied, this might have never happened. I guess she wanted someone younger, who she thought WOULD MARRY HER (Daryl didn't want to), and who would have children (Darlyl didn't want anymore). And someone with more money, someone whose job was more exciting than Daryl's was, so she could hang on their coat tails.

I read people like her need CONSTANT DRAMA because they are empty inside and need constant drama to KNOW they ARE ALIVE. Daryl was the manager of a store?? Not near as exciting as Travis' life, huge circle of friends, love of travelling, etc. Poor guy. :98 :95 :87

Amazing, how easily IT lies. I will send it along to friends too.

I am laughing here at many of the other posts. Thanks for them, too!

kjnelson - just finished watching the 48hrs (it's always great when it's so up-to-date like this one was! Thank you!

I was surprised by my instant, visceral reaction when hearing Alyce LaViolette on the stand - she absolutely repulses me, especially with her constant mocking finish to each sentence of "Mr. Martinez..."

Surprisingly, Linda K. Baden had some good observations. She's another "hired gun," selling herself out to the highest bidder, and in this case, it was to 48Hrs.

Also, Jodi saying that "the only thing I can do for now is smile and say 'cheese'" GAG!

Joni - so true about the constant DRAMA being a necessary component in Jodi's, any addict's and any Borderline Personality's life and the need to feel alive.

This is why her being alone in her cell 23 hours will be the worst torture for her.

The Aesop's Fables really are a good gift for any child, as those stories always tend to stick in your mind. I still remember some that my grandmother used to tell me.

Remote me too - love Aesop's. My Dad bought me the book and used to read it to me, in his lap, so you know how little I must have been. Three? Four? You know I didn't always understand them, but I totally trusted my Dad and knew there was something really good in there for me. I guess the "tapes" were recorded in our minds... and they did stop me from doing many things. Jodi REALLY could have used the one about The Dog And The Bone (NEVER ENOUGH for some), or have a higher I.Q. lol

If any of us are in a slump - just think of Jodi Ann Arias in her cinderblock cell, 7' x 12'. NO WINDOWS!!! With her, there will be NO remorse in her thoughts, but just reliving the *satisfaction* of it all. Still better than being out with the girls in the common room, looking at TV, and developing "relationships". Solitary will be a GREAT PUNISHMENT for her!!!

Remote, amazing, that entire Rag Tag team ... Samuelson too.

The poor judge has always tried hard not to have any problems coming from the higher courts. SHE was right.
SHE had a good jury ... and look at their VERDICT! Didn't want any "extra" problems.

I am sure she will pull an O.J.; Insufficient Counsel, among other things regardless of the penalty. She is addicted to the limelight now, I think. NOW? ALWAYS! lol

We've Only Just Begun :DN4
