Q. What is an astronaut's salary?
A. Salaries for civilian Astronaut Candidates are based on the Federal Government's General Schedule pay scale for grades GS-12 through GS-13. Each person's grade is determined according to his/her academic achievements and experience. Currently, a GS-12 starts at $65,140 per year and a GS-13 can earn up to $100,701 per year.

Military Astronaut Candidates are assigned to the Johnson Space Center and remain in an active duty status for pay, benefits, leave, and other similar military matters.

For arguments sake, if the settlement amounted to 1 million, that would be approximately $333,333.00 each for Crump, TM & SF. Really not all that much. Would Tracy's ex-wife be entitled to a piece of his share? How about all his children? His child support payments might just go up. What about Chad, he deserves something for his pain & suffering. Cousin Stephen & Jahvaris too, more pain and suffering. I would bet they're all lining up for their piece of the pie.

When MONEY is involved... there are always lots who want a "piece of the action" I think lawyers will be needed to sort it all out :)

The lawyers will get most of it.. but even so there will be a battle as to which lawyer gets what :)

Maybe we will find out what the settlement was in a few days (http://www.cfnews13.com/content/news/cfnews13/news/article.html/content/news/articles/cfn/2013/4/5/trayvon_martin_s_par.html).

"Crump asked that the agreement remain confidential. However, the court has decided that there is no reason for the agreement to remain confidential, and is giving Crump 10 days to appeal that decision.

We have learned, that the homeowners association's insurance company did not have to pay out a claim on the case."

Hope it's true.

Sounds good. But I am confused? :40

How do we reconcile.....

Sentinel:
Trayvon Martin's parents have settled a wrongful-death claim for an amount thought to be more than $1 million against the homeowners association of the Sanford subdivision where their teenage son was killed.

cfnews13:
We have learned, that the homeowners association's insurance company did not have to pay out a claim on the case."

That's the million dollar question. It may be that because Crump originally turned down a million dollar settlement offer from the HOA, it was just assumed the final settlement was for more. I suppose it could also be that the insurance coverage didn't apply, so the HOA, itself, was liable for the full amount. If the settlement is made public, I guess we'll eventually find out.

Be that as it may.... VERY shonky reporting by one or other news source...

[thought to be more than $1 million] <> [0]

I'm thinking this. Depos conducted, ABC Crump coaching W8 audio clip released, W8 letter released, Crump depo appeal filed. Maybe they decided to take the money and run.

Yeah, could well be that the Scheme Team saw the writing on the wall, but it's a pity that the insurers weren't similarly on the ball instead of wasting other people's dues to pay go-away money to Crump when every day it's increasingly obvious that there's no EVIDENCE to support the persecution and therefore no BASIS for a case against the HOA by Crump or anyone else - well, unless maybe GZ wants to sue the HOA (who could in turn sue Brandi Green) for allowing TM's presence there.

Brandy Green was a 4 year renter/resident at TRATL. I am not sure that is a move they could/would do. Maybe go after the homeowner. For some reason, it feels contrary to what GZ is all about.

The only depositions they would be privy to would be those of LE/EMTs. All this other stuff has come out in the last couple of months but the article says it was settled a couple of months ago. IMO, Crump is releasing this now because he has gotten a little dinged up and he is rehabbing his image as a "fighter for the good of the family." The way he handled W8 was certainly not good for the family. Honestly, I would have fired him if he were my lawyer since he clearly put his own interests ahead of theirs.

IDK.

no, no, no. The prior carrier (before Travelers) WAS the carrier at the time of incident. That’s who paid.

That was travellers initial question to the judge when Crump sued them – why are we party? Travellers came in AFTER the fact when the HOA switched insurance companies. Subsequently Travellers was let off the hook.

From CTH regarding O'Mara

Quote:
BINGO ya big lug. He was party to the suit on behalf of the HOA – They (insurance carrier) brought him in as party on their behalf – It was his advisement decision to settle.

It was Mark O’Mara who gave the nod to the interests he represented (ins carrier) to pay off/settle with the Martin family.

Sumbitch !!!!

O’Mara CAVED to the BGI AGAIN.

I've got your back, Deb :)

Very interesting convo with you, SD and JG. at CTH

I would say are doing very well at CTH... AND making friends.

Some questioning of SD's info.. but in a proper way. "Disagreeing without being disagreeable" as they say.

You really do NOT want to know what I think about "Insider Information" and bloggers. :Gslap I suspect neither does SD.

But the point is..... you have the manners to get your views incorporated/noted without being unpleasant about it...

You are an aficionado of forum posting across a range of forums. :give

Shame we can't smuggle you into the JQ Trayvon Zone... take your muzzle off... and let you loose in there :lol

I think Sundance and the others do some good research over there and has some good insights, but, his "insiders" haven't been the most reliable in the past.

I remember Sundance once relaying from his insiders that the Three Stooges were located, from asking the clerk at the 7-11 for instance.
