1:36 p.m. ET: The text messages from the end of March 28 indicate to LaViolette that Alexander became mad at Arias, because of he hung up on her. Arias texted Alexander the reason she hung up was because he was yelling at her. Laviolette said this indicates to her that Arias was trying to establish boundaries.

1:30 p.m. ET: In March 2008, Alexander wrote in his journal that it was a good thing Arias was moving back home to Yreka, California, because he was having trouble with self control. Willmott asked LaViolette about a text message fight at the end of March 2008. The attorneys are now at a sidebar with the judge.

1:44 p.m. ET: LaViolette is explaining why most battered women minimize the abuse they have endured, because usually it is hard for them to process and they want to protect their partner's reputation. Arias seemed to minimize Alexander's violence when she discussed it with LaViolette.

1:41 p.m. ET: Arias told LaViolette that Alexander choked her in April 2008. LaViolette said choking is a very severe form of violence and it is life threatening.
