The notetaker juror is seen rubbing his eyes like he just stared at the sun. The clock ticks down to lunch time.

Willmott seems to be slow with the questions, she is not used to being on the stage for such a long time.

Juan tosses out a few objections that are barely heard. His energy level is extremely low.

This trial is taking so long that Willmott needs to dye her hair again. Her coloring is fading out. (don't ask me how I know that! :84 )

No wonder court is adjourned for the day.
She probably wants to go to the beauty parlor.

2:46 p.m. ET: Judge Stephens has recessed the court for the day, because LaViolette feels ill. Court will resume tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. ET.

I wonder about the defence strategy in taking so much time over details largely irrelevant to the case.

It is sort of a "filibuster" defence.

Here we are again going line by line through a journal? The journal generally is SOME indication of how Jodi was feeling... perhaps.. but it is well known that a diary like that often is written projecting a somewhat false image of oneself. Jodi even edited and tore out pages which makes it doubly suspect. Besides all that it is only one item of evidence.. does not deserve the detailed analysis once let alone multiple times. It is background mainly. Some specific points about the dates times etc of events just before and after murder are very relevant. But all the implied psychobabble is mainly BS.... and BS long and drawn out at that.

"Filibuster Defense" is a good description of this fiasco!

I cannot imagine what will happen when Juan Martinez has his turn with her - I'm almost feeling sorry for her in advance.

Going through the journal line by line and then Willmott repeats LaViolette's answers! Hair-ripping! A waste of time because like you said, it is all based on JODI'S lies writings. I've read that Travis told a friend that Jodi had stolen/taken his journals! Oh, how I would love to hear those!

I heard she got a cheap implant job. No part of her is even and balanced!! :Gslap Not
even her surgery! You GET what you pay for eh? :98
OMG.

Now that the parent's interviews are out there, I wonder what her "roommates" think of her now?
AND the guards? And how they are all going to treat her now??

Rump it seems like the defense takes 3-4x longer than the prosecution does. THEN they interrupt EVERY SENTENCE of Juan's cross - making the SUBSTANCE of his cross, soooo small.
Maybe the Dr. is thinking of her impending Cross - and that is making her sick! It would me, if I had a whole case built on quicksand and lies!

Very appropriate song Joni :95

I used it to make a YT vid for the Casey Anthony Trial and then for Zimmerman case.

I prefer the song version by the original Broadway cast of Chicago, recorded in 1975.

A day in the life of a Jodi juror
By Bill Dobilas
updated 4:42 PM EDT, Wed April 03, 2013

NEED TO KNOW

  • Jurors have spent nearly 14 weeks on the panel
  • Arias is charged with killing ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander

The jurors in the Jodi Arias trial have been stuck in that brown, wooden box for nearly 14 weeks. Think about it! They've been taking notes and listening to testimony for 3 and a half months.

So on Raising America, we decided to have a little fun. Remember ''Flat Stanley?'' That little cut-out guy? Kids used to mail him around the world and get people to take pictures of him Well, we invented "Flat Jodi Juror" to help show you what a typical day is like for members of the jury in the Jodi Arias trial.

Expert: Arias, victim were trapped in abuse ‘cycle’
By Graham Winch
updated 4:15 PM EDT, Wed April 03, 2013

Testimony in the Jodi Arias trial ended abruptly Wednesday when defense expert Alyce LaViolette began feeling ill and Judge Sherry Stephens canceled proceedings until Thursday.

LaViolette, the domestic violence expert, testified that violence and abuse escalated in Arias and Alexander’s relationship. She is methodically walking the jury through the entire history of their relationship using Arias’ journal entries, emails and text messages to illustrate her points. She ended Wednesday's proceedings talking about the tumultuous state of Arias and Alexander's relationship in the spring of 2008.

LaViolette will likely testify Thursday about the events leading up to the fight that Arias claims forced her to kill Alexander in self-defense on June 4, 2008.

On Wednesday, LaViolette described how Alexander and Arias became trapped in a domestic abuse cycle where he would become violent and they would have a loving period after the fight.

"It’s just part of a cycle, part of that whole pattern where something happens that is unacceptable and then there’s forgiveness, based on the fact that the person is seeking forgiveness," said LaViolette.

LaViolette detailed several episodes of Alexander's violent behavior including when he allegedly kicked her and broke her finger. "They have an argument and during this argument he grabs her and throws her to the floor and when she hits the floor she makes a sound and he says basically, 'Don’t act like that hurts, b***, this hurts!' and he kicks her and then he kicks her a second time," LaViolette said.

His violence, according to LaViolette, became more intense and frequent as his relationship with Arias evolved.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prejudice_(legal_procedure)

I wonder if the law needs some tweaking?
WHY should the TRUTH be *prejudicial* in ANY WAY? Since there IS such a thing, we KNOW the defense will
try to say "FOUL"!!!!!! Prejudicial!!! Appeal!!! They are tying the prosecutions hands behind them!

So neither parent's interview can be seen by the Jury.

AND the VICTIM is dead... they don't matter. Let's all see if we can't GIVE the killer a VERY FAIR TRIAL! RIGHT!

Mother just said "In the 8th grade we DID search her room. She was doing POT and we reported her."
Distortion, raging at her mother for 2 hours at a time, and flip and flopping sometimes too. Dr. Drew should be really interesting tonight!!

How is this going to affect her sentencing? Asylum? Prison?

I wonder how the psychopath holds herself together in court. She probably is enraged a whole lot of the time.

They're experts at mimicking normal behavior. I bet when she gets back to the jail each night, she plans how she can get revenge on the Prosecution and Travis' family.
