Hi, Puzzler and so glad you're with us!

I, too, came late in the game when another poster here, forensicpsy got me interested. (began watching on Jodi's first day on cross by Juan Martinez and WOW! I was hooked!) I have been using weekends to catch up with all the previous testimony. The Medical Examiner and Mimi Hall are worth watching.

I'm glad you watched that video of Chris Hughes and Gus Searcy. Searcy seems like such a sleazy character. Unfortunately, I'm not well versed on Gus Searcy yet and don't quite know what he can bring to this. I can't be positive, but I think he "helped" Jodi out, too? He seems very sktechy. Some gossip I've heard about him is that he was recently featured on Judge Judy! He was taking back furniture from his own daughter! He lost.

And no, nothing came of his belligerent refusal on the stand to name the "witness." It was the end of that court day and then everything went on as if nothing happened on the next day of trial.

Joni - from my experience, every good sociopath has an enabler in their lives. I would probably say Jodi's parents were her first victims in lying. At least one of them must have enabled her, and she probably grew more and more emboldened....

I would love to hear Skye on the witness stand, but more than that, I can't wait until Juan Martinez gets ahold of Dr. LaViolette!

Puzzler I think the defense thought Gus Searcy would be helpful to them. He testified Jodi was shaking and upset after talking to Travis. Either she called him, or he called her, but in any event she stepped out of the room so she could talk privately.They THINK that shows abuse? Really?

It couldn't be that he was furious with her STALKING, DESTROYING his property over and over again, breaking into his house via the doggie door, interfering big time with his brand new relationships, writing lying, FILTHY emails/texts to them, and hacking into his Bank Account and other places? NAW.

As I always say ... Were the conversations, emails, etc. before or after all THIS ABUSE DONE TO TRAVIS?? THAT IS SO IMPORTANT!

And too, maybe Travis was just telling her to GET OUT OF MY LIFE!! That is abuse then Gus Searcy? THAT WOULD MAKE "IT" SHAKE I am sure!!! You don't know what was said on that phone conversation - because she stepped out of the room. Was he telling her off??? Probably. He doesn't seem the least abusive to me... BUT did he have to take THAT from that SKANK??? He must have been angry. Finally!!

They are trying SO HARD to kill Travis, again and again and again to save this worthless, filthy, useless life ... of Jodi Arrogant.

#5 - This is where Jodi does her headstand, sings and talks to herself. She talks more in this video.

Basically, from #15 to #14, Jodi is a wall of silence with every single question that would nail her. I'm really impressed how she seemed to instinctively KNOW which questions would sink her.

She would NOT answer the repeated, over and over and over questions from the female detective and Flores regarding:

Did Travis know you were coming? Was Travis expecting you? Was he happy or upset to see you? Why was Travis so angry with you in those last emails/texts? What made you go to his house? Were you angry or jealous? Did you have a gun with you? When was the last time you spoke with Travis? Did Travis know you were taking his picture while he was in the shower? Did he say anything to you? In the last shower picture where you see him looking at you, he seems to be listening to something you're saying, what are you saying to him? What can I tell the family? What do you want to say to the family?

#14 and #15 - is when Jodi finally starts to give Flores her "story." On #15, Flores catches her in a lie (I didn't have time to rewind and listen again to her original statement) that at first, Jodi tells him the intruders were 2 white males - and then later she tells him they were both white, but one was a man and one was a woman. When Flores calls her out on the discrepancy, she denies she said two males.

At the end of #15, Flores tells her: "I've been doing this a long time, and this story is the most far-fetched story I have ever heard."

Also in #14 and #15 - Flores tells Jodi about the number one prosecutor in Phoenix taking her case. He said he knows Juan Martinez, he's the best at what he does and she does not want to go up against him.

Little did Jodi know how right Flores was!

Casey Anthony had her "dear mother Cindy " who made excuses for EVERYTHING she did, and swept everything else under the rug!!

We know less about Jodi's background, except her saying she had a good normal childhood.

The unbelievable part is that throughout the first few interrogation videos, Jodi is there singing her family's praises! How awesome they are, how they know her heart, how she knows they are worried about her, how important they are to her......

Flores: That you hurt Travis and you refuse to tell me why. You did it, Jodi. Why don't you tell me the truth? Pleeeeease?

Flores: We're not done, still with all the evidence.
Jodi : I know it's obvious that I was there.
Flores: No, it's obvious that you committed the crime. I KNOW that you did this and you refuse to tell me why.
Jodi: What would be my motive?
Flores: Anger, jealousy, fear, fear of being alone, I don't know. So many reasons. (Jodi sits in silence) We know you had a .25 model, you guys reported it stolen....we recovered the ammunition, the casing, your blood, your hair, your motive, you were there
Jodi: I wasn't jealous of anything, I mean I wanted to go to Cancun, but I wasn't jealous.

Jodi denies shooting Travis in the shower, and that she stabbed him several times. Shakes her head no and Flores insists she did.

Flores: What did you do with the gun?
Jodi: I never had it.
Flores: Jodi...you did.
Jodi: Never had it, didn't.....I don't have it.... (notice the slippery present tense - of COURSE she doesn't have it NOW....)
Flores: "You don't have it..." people say that when they know of the gun, when they've touched the gun.......
Jodi: I don't think I've ever fired a gun...well, maybe a water gun...not a real gun
Flores: So you're going to continue to tell me you did not do this.
Jodi: I did not kill Travis.
Flores: I believe you did. I truly believe you did. There's nothing showing that anyone else did this. Nothing
Jodi: ok, if I had planned to hurt him in any way....I don't think I could have stabbed him....n=because I think I would have to shoot him...continuously until he was dead. If that were my intention, I would have to wear gloves....If, IF I had it in me, anywhere, to kill him, the least I could have done was to make it as humane as possible, and quick, for somebody.....

Jodi: he was still alive?
Flores: Yes, I know he was shot first and still alive and tried to get away and tried to fight back
Jodi: I think he was in shock.

Then when Flores asks, she shows him on the bathroom diagram.

See, this is where Jodi got that he was shot first. Flores made a mistake, but turns out it was a "good" mistake, because Jodi then formulated her story on the wrong information. I cannot believe Jodi has the ....er......guts to say she would have been humane and shot him and not stabbed. Wow!!!

In either #13 or #14, Jodi discusses something that made me curious. She imitated him speaking to her and his tone isn't nice - but hey, he didn't deserve to be killed. Again, I don't think Travis was a saint, but this does NOT excuse what Jodi did by ANY stretch!

Jodi claims Travis sent her a chapter of the book he was writing for her to edit (she says she is a good speller). When editing, she noticed that Travis had included in his book, thanks to a Katie Barnes (Jodi then immediately says she knows her, isn't jealous of her at all, etc). She then, "jokingly" ( ) told Travis, "hey, you could maybe write 'thanks to Jodi Arias for editing...'"

Jodi then said that Travis said, "You know I can't do that, Jodi."

She also goes on to describe how they arrived one night at Travis's place and Deeana's, Travis' former girlfriend, car was in his driveway. Jodi said that Travis immediately went into a panic, saying Jodi couldn't be seen.

These, I'm sure, are things that just added fuel to her raging fire.

You reminded me of something my father would always say: The man you marry is actually 3 different men: the one you date, the one you marry and the one you divorce.

In this particular case, no one can blame Travis. She was like gum stuck to the bottom of his shoe.

I do believe there was two Travis' with her. You are right! He couldn't get rid of her. Like GUM on his shoe! She was always there. Ubiquitous is the word I think. "Present, or seemingly to be present, everywhere at the same time."

She always invited herself to functions where she WASN'T invited! A classless, ignorant SKANK who is obviously mentally OFF!

Travis even told 2 friends, "If I get murdered, know who did it - Jodi!"
He could see this relentlessly escalating ... with no hope of it's EVER ending in sight. Total ownership, total vicious harassment/stalking till his death!

I wonder what would have happened if he removed the doggie door? Changed his locks? IGNORED her ever dangling carrot of her SKANKY sex? Got an alarm system in his house? I WISH he would have done some of these things. He was probably a busy, busy guy with 2 jobs, trying to date, keeping up a big house ... and one doesn't WANT to believe their worst nightmares are ... T R U E. He was positive about everything I think ... poor guy. BUTCHERED!

I do hope Juan points out this was a real RAGE KILLING (slaughter, butchering), and OVERKILL for sure!! In NO way was this self defense with clusters of stabbing in his BACK??? AND stabs in the BACK of his head??

D.P. I think would be best. RID this earth of this subhuman FREAK! She will always be dangerous I believe. Could easily do this again.

Just finished #16 and #17.

#16 - Finishing up her BS stories. Flores has finally reached the end of his patience, tells her she's not telling him anything they don't already know. IF this is it, they're done. Jodi tries to reel him back in by whining that she really wants to write something to the family and FLores tells her she can always do that. Jodi asks if he thinks they'll get the letter ( ).....blah blah blah.

Finally Flores says they'll see each other again when she goes to Phoenix. Jodi tries one last attempt to stop him from leaving by saying how she doesn't want to hurt the family ( )- he impatiently says , "well you have, Jodi, you've hurt them. Good bye."

He leaves abruptly, leaving Jodi completely surprised and deflated. She doesn't move for a few minutes, stays in that position!

#17 - Jodi receives her lunch and has a yellow legal pad that she is presumably writing a letter to the family. We are treated to her eating (ugh!).

Something I noticed is that she is writing with her right hand in both #16 and #17! I thought she was predominantly left handed, although she did say she used both hands (didn't classify herself as ambidextrous). What a strange creature she is.

Remote and Joni - TY for your response about Searcy.

I did a little research on him...listened to interviews Searcy had with Dr. Drew's staff and with Greta Van Susteran.

Among other things, Searcy said that Jodi called him around 3:30 a.m. (mere hours after TA was killed) and was crying. JA said that Travis was dead. Searcy asked where she was and JA said in northern California. At that time, Searcy had no idea JA was involved with having killed TA because she was upset and crying and "said" she was in northern California.

Searcy also said that when the call came from Travis, the reason Jodi left to go outside to talk with him was that Travis yelled on the phone, cussing, and Jodi ducked like she was hit. He wasn't allowed to say that in court - I believe I remember Searcy saying that "when things heated up", JA went outside to talk for about 30 minutes.

Searcy/Jodi met at the same event she met TA. Jodi asked Searcy to help her with her company - getting it going, etc. So, they had a phone conversations a couple of times a week (about her progress/non-progress) and saw each other about every 3-4 months at events - knew her for about 1 year.
