Seems Dee Dee lied all on her own and for no reason.

I am curious how this depo will affect all of the different DeeDee theories now.

Seems like if it is only one DeeDee then Crump is in even more trouble for lying about her age.

I'm impressed that the defense finally has shown some cajoones.

Sanctions against the state is nothing to sneeze at.

Each time, she was in the presence of TrayMom, who I believe was sitting next to her on each occasion. 'Course, that wouldn't intimidate anyone, or put pressure on them, or anything, now would it? I expect TrayMom was just giving maternal moral support to the dear chile who might one day have become her daughter-in-law (which reminds me, where was DeeDee's mom while her daughter was being deposed?).

So the question is now, Will the judge have the cojones to slap sanctions on the SA as they so richly and obviously deserve?

IOW, is the judge there to serve the cause of justice or merely to serve the cause of Holder's Department of Just-Us?

Hmmm, maybe Judge Nelson is starting to feel high blood pressure coming on... "Sorry, can't deal with the motion, gotta go to hospital!" :37

I am VERY pessimistic about this judge. I gave up when she declared the nonsense about Crump being "opposing counsel"

Until then I tried being optimistic before every hearing... and was disappointed.

I think the fix is in and furthermore they don't mind how obvious that appears.

I expect Nelson to Deny this motion.

It will be very interesting to see how the judge deals with this. I also can't wait to see all of the Trayvonites claiming that this is a fishing expedition, a diversion tactic, etc.

Former prosecutor Nelson will not sanction any prosecutors. BTW, where is the poll?

Typically, what kind of sanctions are imposed in trials like this?

If DD was so easily influenced into lying, what else is he not being truthful about.

I'm with you about this judge. What seems to be a sure win, somehow gets denied with her. Maybe this time she'll surprise us.

BTW- thank you Rumpole for fixing up my earlier post...

O'Mara: Fine prosecutors for hiding witness lies
By Rene Stutzman, Orlando Sentinel
6:32 p.m. EDT, March 25, 2013

George Zimmerman's attorneys on Monday formally accused prosecutors of being unethical, saying that for seven months, they hid a pair of lies by their most important witness, and that they should be punished for it.

The allegations, spelled out in a new court pleading, mark a new low in the case.

Defense attorneys Mark O'Mara and Don West have complained for months about Assistant State Attorneys Bernie de la Rionda and John Guy, saying they have refused repeated requests to turn over key pieces of evidence. This time, they've asked Circuit Judge Debra S. Nelson to fine and admonish them.

Prosecutors are required to release in a timely fashion information to a suspect if it might help prove his innocence. In this case, according to paperwork filed by O'Mara, de la Rionda and Guy have flouted that rule.

For seven months, they knew that the state's most important witness, a young Miami woman who was on the phone with Trayvon Martin just moments before he was shot, had lied about going to a hospital a few days later, according to the new paperwork.

Exactly, what is your opinion of having Trayvon's mom for her sworn interview?

O'Mara files for sanctions against the State Attorney Office for discovery violations.

I hope this broadside is a sign that the defense is finished with the shots across the bow.

I don't see any way for Nelson to deny the motion. More importantly, I don't see any way for this motion not to force Nelson's hand into holding a Richardson hearing. If she doesn't, any eventual verdict against Zimmerman will have a one-way ticket to Vacate-ville.

(I'm also guessing that filing this motion will lead to a subsequent request for continuance, though that may wait until the Witness 8 deposition is completed, if it isn't already.)

The motion for Reconsideration and now this will be too much for the Judge, denied.
