My favorite Tinsley Ellis song. He's a little more 'raw' in this version than usual, but you can get the flavor. (If the video shows up...)

He can play with the best of them, in my humble opinion. Still tours smaller venues - nice guy, too.

(Thanks again for your great site, Rumpole!)

I prefer smaller venues. I saw the Rolling Stones in a Stadium. Had nosebleed seats and a pair of binoculars and they still looked like tiny ants. The most memorable concerts I've been to were the ones where I could see the performer's faces.

Another of my favorite players. Heard him in Nashville two years ago - he can still lay it down! Yes, that's 'Analyst' in the picture with him. I'm 6'-4", so it's a weird camera angle - I'm at least a foot taller than Rick D.

Edit Rumpole
"Attaching" pics is fine...straight from your computer... if you are happy with a thumbnail post.

But if you want full sized pic in the thread there is info in "Help"

Absolutely. Saw Robert Cray at a small venue. I was at the stage. His set-up included a pair of Matchless amps labled 'This one' and 'That one'. Awesome...

I was at the stage of a Joan Jett concert at a large bar. Never again! The music was good, but the crowd was way too wild for me. Thought I was going to be crushed like a bug.

Hey that's neat. I saw the Stone's at Buffalo Bill's stadium. George Thorogood opened the show and we had nosebleed seats as well. Good times but I prefer clubs and good acoustics.

My all time favorite bar band:

I didn't recognize Rick Derringer. How cool that you met him!

Who doesn't love Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo?!

Proud to say that Tab played at my nightclub about a dozen years ago. Quite the guitar slinger!

I did some "research" today at work. Listened to Tab's Best on iTunes. Went to lunch and read the local free paper. Guess who's in the area next month? :35 Tab will be playing at several events not too far away! AND one of the nights Tab is playing at one event, Tinsley Ellis is giving at concert in the area! :95 Decisions, decisions!!

Tab adds a bluesy spin to the classic Buffalo Springfield song, "For What It's Worth".
