7:18 p.m. ET: Willmott is now asking Samuels to review his notes about Arias' self defense story. He recounts basically the same story as from a few minutes ago.

7:15 p.m. ET: Samuels said Arias told him she ran out of the closet to bathroom turned around and the gun went off. At some point, the wrestled and Alexander pulled at her clothing. Samuels said he asked Arias to tell him how she killed Alexander in self-defense multiple times to figure out what likely happened.

"Did she say what happened after the gun went off?” asked Willmott.

“He let out a scream, she didn’t notice blood, but he kept coming towards her,” said Samuels.

“Did they fall on the ground?” asked Willmott.

“They fell on the ground,” said Samuels.

“When they fell on the ground, did she describe to you what happens on the ground?” asked Willmott.

“Yes, they wrestled and she was finally able to get up and flee,” said Samuels.

7:13 p.m ET: Willmott asked Samuels where Arias was standing when she ran out of the closet with the gun, and Martinez objected. The attorneys are now at a sidebar with the judge.

7:25 p.m. ET: Samuels is reading the notes he took of Arias' self-defense story. Arias told him the gun went off, but it wasn't her intent, and she said she was terrified. After the gun went off, Alexander fell on top of her, and she ran down the hallway. She also told Samuels she doesn't have any real memories after getting away from Alexander. Arias appears to be getting upset as Samuels recounts how she shot Alexander.

7:29 p.m. ET: Willmott is now having Samuels review his notes from another time Arias told him about killing Alexander in self-defense. All the stories seem to match up.

7:27 p.m. ET: The attorneys are at a sidebar with the judge.

7:26 p.m. ET:

“What did she say about shooting Mr. Alexander?” asked Willmott.

“She said the gun went off but it wasn’t her intent,” said Samuels.

“What was her intent?” asked Willmott.

“To keep distance between him and her,” said Samuels

“Did she talk about her feelings, how she felt at the time?” asked Willmott.

“She was terrified… she was frightened,” said Samuels.

The most important part of this case must be ignored - overlooked - left undiscussed, just because Jodi claims she doesn't remember it....the slicing up of Travis' whole body with a big knife until he was wholly bloody dead. So of course, she cannot be asked about it and thus doesn't have to discuss it, as if somebody else must have done it because the very thought traumatizes her too much. Because she forgot it, then we must forget it too?

I hope the jury remembers all she did to poor Travis' young body and I'll bet Juan doesn't let them forget.
And I pray every night that God lets me live long enough to see this Verdict. :77

I missed a lot... I assume Martinez already made the point... and I am SURE he will stress it in closing.

Does Juan get to rebut again? It ended with her atty still questioning Samuels. It would be nice if Juan can get up there again with Samuels.

(What is Jodi's lady atty's name?)

I think.. prosecution usually get the last word?.

The part we are watching is the DEFENCE... so the opposite may apply just for this bit.

For closing arguments.. prosecution go first.. then get another turn after the defence closing... IANAL... so May be wrong ish

I think it might have been kjnelson that posted a link of the individual autopsy photos (not a slideshow). I need to find the one of the huge gapping hole in Travis' throat from ear to ear to send to someone. It's a little different from the latest photo of his neck. The one I need is really graphic and shows how huge that injury is. Does anyone have that link handy? I've gone thru tons of pages of both Discussion 1 and 2 and can't locate it.

Ok, that's it for the day. No Arias trial tomorrow until 1 pm. Hopefully they finish with Samuels then. Then no trial Thursday or Friday.

Rumpole - we're going to need an intervention by the end of the week if those sidebars continue at the rate they're going! <hiccup!>

Don't forget the juror questions for Samuels!! And then Martinez and Willmott get to question him AGAIN!! :45 There were 30 at the end of last week, so I can only imagine how many more there are now!

Rumpole - Too funny! Any diet soda will work for me and that's even cheaper! I didn't think we would get this plastered!

rt - I think I know where I could find it, but just the thought of having to look at it is not very appealing.

That photo was the worst thing I've ever seen. I'll never be able to get that image out of head. That photo should be the last one the jury sees.

I saw Jodi take an entire FOLDER and slip it under her "seat". She IS very anal we know. :HSG
Something is REALLY bothering me.

Wouldn't the route of the bullet be that way ONLY if coming from above and a little behind?
Thru the forehead and DOWN toward the left cheek. DOWNWARD right?
CAN she is facing him, his head slightly turned and STILL go in his forehead and go downward - landing in his cheek?

CAN THIS BE? No one has ever mentioned this. A bullet doesn't get shot from the front in the head ... then somehow get into the cheek can it? How?
IF she was facing him, wouldn't the bullet go somewhat straight ... like thru his forehead somehow to the back? Maybe his left back of his head, since his head was turned ... as Jodi shows.

ALWAYS FITTING HER STORIES TO THE FORENSICS. THROW THE KEY AWAY!!! :18

MM which photo? I have been thinking I would like the jury to see - the last thing - WHAT ALL THIS IS ABOUT ... the slaughter - butchering of Travis Alexander. ALL of those horrible photos. All of them. Autopsy, in the shower, etc. I bet Juan will do that.

They were discussing him. No notes, all in his head ... conducts this entire thing himself!! Amazing lawyer - man.

IF she shot him first... surely she could have gotten out somehow. WHY THIS BUTCHERING ... if not HATRED and FUROR because he didn't want her? I believe THAT and THAT ALONE might be her PTSD IF IN FACT she has any!! WHAT an ACTRESS!!!

:98 The route of the bullet was explained fully by the Medical Examiner in his testimony. It entered Travis' Right forehead and traveled through the frontal lobe and on downward into the Left cheek, meaning upper jaw. The bullet did not exit. Go find his testimony and you can hear it, it's real interesting because the bullet's going thru the brain is something the defense wanted to dispute as that would have rendered him unable to be as mobile as Jodi needed him to be. The ME would not back down. The argument is interesting to watch.

Whether the bullet was straight-on or shot from above or below I don't think was discussed but I could be wrong....anybody know?
