Thanks for that link Forensicpsy. This is the part that concerns me..."respondent" (Samuels) made custody recommendation without examining mother..."

But actually, the idea of bartering is good, but it's not legal for obvious reasons. My husband would much rather barter his medical services for a dozen chickens than send these patients to collections, but the Government forbids it. Why? Because then the Government would have to take it's unfair share of taxes in chickens instead of hard cash. Funny maybe, but that's the truth. :HSG

Hello, everyone! :69

Thanks, forensic, for the complaint doc - I had wanted to read it but didn't have time to go looking for it.

The tweeter Michale Kiefer that I was c/p over here yesterday said that after court, he spoke with prosecutor Juan Martinez who told him he has more in store for Dr. Samuels today. :34

ETA -

Juan Martinez told me that he has more in store for Dr. Samuels tomorrow. Stay tuned.

THANKS R.
Everything they do is deliberate ... just like Jodi. NOTHING is forgotten, by either the "good Dr." or her lawyers. All deliberate!

Wonder if she was building an Insanity Defense, just in case her future lawyer would "want it"? Could be... can't hurt...

Love her lies and I think that will be her undoing. WE - - CAN'T - - BELIEVE - - HER - - about that or ANYTHING else!

Thanks for the links and videos. GREAT.

Don't you LOVE the arrogant look on Jodi's face while watching someone "defend" her? So interested!!! Feeling SO important!!! THIS IS ALL ABOUT MEEEEEEEE! oooooo!

Is his face getting redder or am I just imagining it?

Somehow he reminds me of my ex, but he was much more arrogant, like Jodi. Inept and whacko like him!

Good morning. The Arias trial begins today with the traditional opening sidebar.

1:23 p.m. ET: The attorneys are in the courtroom, but the judge and Arias are not there yet. Testimony could begin any minute.

1:20 p.m. ET: Judge Sherry Stephens wanted court to start at 1 p.m. ET, but something is delaying the trial.

Yesterday Recap Per HLN:

Prosecutor Juan Martinez pummeled Samuels with questions on Monday, suggesting he crossed ethical lines with Arias by providing therapy instead of strictly evaluating her mental state. Martinez took issue with how Samuels gave Arias a book during the evaluation. Samuels said he only gave Arias a book to help her when he believed she was suicidal.

Watch: Expert: Gun Jodi used jammed

Martinez asked, “There seems to be a little of the blurring of the lines here don’t you agree?”

“No, I don’t,” replied Samuels.

Martinez asked, ”Well on the one hand, you want to help her by giving her that self-help book, yes or no?”

Samuels paused for a moment, and said, “Yes, it would be… Yes, I helped her.”

Martinez also pointed out that Arias lied multiple times in her answers on psychological tests designed to help determine whether she suffers from PTSD. The answers Arias gave were consistent with the story she told police in which she claimed two intruders killed Alexander. This contradicts what Arias said on the witness stand. Arias testified that she killed Alexander in self-defense after he attacked her.

Samuels said he should have re-administered the tests to Arias after she changed her story. He called it an "oversight," and he should have made Arias take it a second time, because the accuracy of the test depends on the test taker being honest with her answers.

“I was in error by not re-administering the PDS,” said Samuels.

Samuels up and Martinez grilling.

Michael Kiefer michaelbkiefer
And then Martinez asks about Arias' "extensive experience" at oral sex, starting when she was 15.

Michael Kiefer michaelbkiefer
Juan Martinez goes back at Dr. Richard Samuels, defense expert, asking if Arias told him Alexander was her only anal intercourse experience.

Michael Kiefer michaelbkiefer
The Arias courtroom is full as usual, with day gawkers on one side and press and prosecution groupies on the other. Anyone else tired?

1:48 p.m. ET: Martinez wants to know if Samuels saw other inconsistencies in Arias' case. Samuels he couldn't answer it with a simple yes or no.

1:45 p.m. ET: Samuels said he did investigate inconsistencies in Arias' case, but whether Alexander had pictures of breasts on his computer was not relevant to his opinion.

1:45 p.m. ET: Samuels said he did investigate inconsistencies in Arias' case, but whether Alexander had pictures of breasts on his computer was not relevant to his opinion.

1:43 p.m. ET: Arias told Samuels that said Alexander had pictures of many women's breast on his computer. Martinez pointed out that there were no pictures of breasts on Alexander's questions. Samuels said he didn't think it wasn't relevant. Martinez asked him if he thought it was relevant if Arias was lying to him during his evaluation. Defense attorney Willmott objected and said there was no evidence that it was a lie. The attorneys are at a sidebar with the judge.

Martinez and Dr. Samuels going around and around, much like Jodi with Martinez over Samuels not seeing Arias' lies as "relevant" (or that it needed to be included as an addendum) - he says he didn't mention the lies because he discovered them only after he had already written his report.

Michael Kiefer michaelbkiefer
Martinez and Samuels are arguing over whether it's relevant if Arias lied about Travis Alexander having photos of breasts on his computer.

Juan attacking DrS for not taking opportunity to revise his report when more lies of Arias were brought out.

Michael Kiefer michaelbkiefer
Samuels has a hard time getting his answers in between the questions.

WHY are people - including the Jurors on HLN After Dark - ASSUMING that Jodi even GOT a gun from the "closet" - loaded or not? I can't. SHE is a LIAR!

I think she brought her grandfather's gun, that she stole from him!!

Seems people are buying her "base story" and dancing all around with it. Strange they would do that with a KNOWN LIAR!

Hi Joni! From what I've read, those jurors on HLN after dark were a little ditzy, weren't they? They were even allowing for Travis to have actually "body slammed" Jodi!

You are absolutely right. We know that if we hear a lie often enough, we tend to believe it. What they forget is that the lie remains a lie. So....do they actually expect to discover the truth when it's based on a lie?

Martinez directs Samuels to a report in which Arias said Alexander wanted to take photos in the shower. He says there were 2 shower scenes.

Samuels: "It was in or around the closet. That wasn't important to me." Martinez: "I didn't ask if it was important to you."

Michael Kiefer michaelbkiefer
Martinez sends Samuels to his notes to see what they say. No mention of a sweater. But Samuels thinks an article of clothing was involved.

Michael Kiefer michaelbkiefer
Willmott asks for a sidebar.

Michael Kiefer michaelbkiefer
In the tape, Samuels says Alexander grabbed Arias' sweater and then she remembered the gun. They were in the closet, she reached for a shelf

Michael Kiefer michaelbkiefer
Martinez plays a tape recorded interview of what Samuels recalled of Arias' version of the murder.

Interestingly...Jodi is REALLY paying extra attention to Samuel's testimony now....I think she's very afraid that Juan wants to make a fool of him. Yep, that's right Jodi.
