Thanx LMF, I missed it. :78

There are so many great lines in this notice that it's hard to choose my favourites. A hot contender is, "Rather, he took on this task to properly accomplish an accurate audiotaping of this interview himself. He failed miserably." :HSG

But I think it's beaten by a short head with: "Much of the recording is still unintelligible, and it is the position of the defense that Mr. Crump, as the person who conducted the interview, is the only person who can accurately explain what was asked, and what was said." A splendid example of being hoist with one's own petard. :31

Looks to me like a recipe for Crump Splat Surprise, to wit:
1. Take one lying attorney.
2. Use the facts to shake him vigorously until he froths at the mouth.
3. Toss him lightly under the karma bus.
4. Wait for the splat.
5. Enjoy!

Happy birthday! And thanks for terrific post! :HSG

How would Crump, TM or SF answer if asked: it is a fact when you were doing your media tours, you proclaimed DD was so distraught she had to be hospitalized. Please explain where you got that information. If they all say DD, then they would be admitting DD is a liar. If TM or SF say it came from Crump, then Crump would have to explain where he heard it. How about all the media outlets invite them all back to clarify...

Happy Birthday LandauMurphyFan!

Hey Dee Dee your time under the bus is here again I tell you nobody cares about you they only care about themselves and how they can fill their pockets. How long are you gonna wait it's getting to the point where it's to late. Back out now throw them under the bus before it's to late. You aren't a minor it's gonna come out eventually and I doubt you wanna be the next Tawana Brawley.

Read the Motion to Reconsider (speed reading is one of my virtues) and it is compelling. I can't feel sorry for Crump, but I can try to feel sorry for DeeDee - she probably thought that this guy's an officer of the court and she wanted to 'help' the family. Heaven help her if she received any remuneration.

However, I agree with an earlier commenter - she had better roll-over first; it ain't gonna be pretty. And the time to flip is NOW.

Which DD? Or do you believe that there is only one. Personally, if there really are two as I believe, I wonder if MOM/West knows that by now and they can't mention it. It wouldn't surprise me that that fact is the main reason for Crump not wanting to be deposed. It would also mean that the DD that's being deposed never was interviewed by Crump. Also, if there were two, then there were none. Meaning there was NO DD talking to him that night. So who gets thrown under the bus? I don't feel sorry for any of them that lied and made George suffer as he did this past year.

I haven't put a lot of thought into the two DeeDee theory, although I was skeptical about the entire narrative when her testimony came to light, i.e., way too convenient.

My potential compassion for DeeDee is that she may have been on the phone with him at some point (argumentum gratia), and was in over her head - thanks to Crump, et al. - before she knew it...

Zimmerman renews request to depose Trayvon Martin family attorney

By Jeff Weiner, Orlando Sentinel
6:26 p.m. EDT, March 18, 2013

George Zimmerman's defense team on Monday asked Circuit Judge Debra Nelson to reconsider a request to question Benjamin Crump, an attorney for Trayvon Martin's family, in a deposition.

At a hearing last month, Nelson rejected the Zimmerman attorneys' previous request for a deposition of Crump, who last March conducted an interview with the state's key "Witness 8," who says she was on the phone with the 17-year-old in the moments before his fatal encounter with Zimmerman.

The new motion is based on a recent disclosure that the witness falsely claimed she was hospitalized after the shooting. The defense now argues that her credibility is in question, so learning what Crump knows is all the more important.

"Now that Witness 8's credibility is at issue because of this contradictory and possibly perjurious testimony, deposing Mr. Crump is even more necessary and relevant for further determination of additional misrepresentation of lies, to document further bases for impeachment of Witness 8, and other necessary matters," the motion says.

It's behind a paywall, but you can disable javascript ('Quick Javascript Switcher' for chrome makes this easy) in order to read the article. You won't be able to see the video embedded in the article but you can go here to see it:

Strange... I am not a computer expert.. so I don't know why.

Security, firewalls etc at work perhaps? The server is a reputable Californian crowd called Arvixie.. no reason they should be blocked?

Sybrina Fulton, the mother of Trayvon Martin, will speak
at 6 pm, Thursday, March 7, in the Moot Court Room of the Law School. Fulton and her Attorney Benjamin Crump will talk about some of the events of the past year. Professors from the Law School and the University will discuss racial and social elements of the case and its impact on the criminal justice system.

Ms. Fulton will speak candidly about what she has experienced in the year since the death of her son Trayvon Martin. Lawyers for the Martin family will provide updates on the status of the case against George Zimmerman, who shot and killed Trayvon Martin on February 26, 2012. The case is scheduled for trial in June 2013.

Professors at the law school and University will talk about the racial and social elements of the case and its impact on the criminal justice system. Howard law students will address the students’ activism at the height of Trayvon’s death, including the inspiration behind their “Do I Look Suspicious” video, which featured Howard law students wearing “hoodies,” and asking “do I look suspicious?” The video went viral. The ABA Coalition on Racial and Ethnic Justice will discuss some of the “Stand Your Ground” laws in the United States.

Interim Law School Dean Okianer Christian Dark, one of the organizers of the program, said the program will give Howard law students an opportunity to show their continued support for the Martin family, but most importantly she said, “it will enhance their educational experience at Howard University School of Law.”

The program will begin at 6pm in the Moot Court Room.
A light reception will follow.
