Samuels says he never did a custody evaluation again because "it didn't pay."

On The Sanction:
"My role initially was to be the joint custody evaluator," Samuels said in regard to the New Jersey sanction.

He said he later saw one of the parties as a patient after he resigned as the custody evaluator.

"He owed me a good deal of money .. and he offered [me dental services]," Samuels said.

He said a complaint was later filed and unbeknownst to him bartering was not permitted in New Jersey. He said he was fined but his license was not taken away.

On The Doctors Sanction:
The defense is trying to discuss Samuels' sanction in New Jersey. The prosecution objected and they are at a sidebar with the judge.

The NJ sanction was then communicated to all boards he practiced under, and the Arizona board exonerated him.

Meanwhile, the state of New Jersey had passed a law forbidding bartering, and Samuels got dinged $2,500 when the mother filed a complaint.
