Thanks for the heads up about Travis' Blogs! I read several and the only reason I stopped is because it's bedtime. But I encourage others to read what he wrote, if you don't mind getting a lump in your throat now and then. Travis was a thinker. And he was a lot more than the sexual being that Jodi wanted to make out of him. But she did not get to corrupt him utterly, or really hardly at all. He was above all those things and it shows in his writings. He had a tender heart.
His book, "Raising You", at least the part he showed was so sad. It really makes me grateful for my normal childhood and responsible parents. But Travis sure rose above all his disadvantages and was well on his way to a beautiful life of success and intense meaning. I really think he's got that now though. And 'she' sure doesn't.
rt, I cannot get that excerpt he posted out of my mind! It was so disturbing to me (I cannot bear to hear of children suffering like that!). It took me 2 hours to fall asleep after I read it. My heart actually felt pain for what those kids went through.
Then I thought, for him to survive that terrible upbringing, fight his way to normalcy when it was against all odds for his situation, to become the success he became - to have all that hard work snuffed out in the prime of his accomplishments just put me under. To think that his older siblings had it even worse..... but you are right - at least now, I am of the belief that he is finally experiencing peace and love.
