6:36 p.m. ET: Arias is explaining how she allegedly cut her finger at a restaurant she was working at shortly before Alexander died. Martinez wants to know if Arias ever told her manager that she was injured on the job.

6:32 p.m. ET: Arias bank account show three transactions from a Tesoro gas station in Salt Lake City. Martinez did some math to show the jury that the transaction for 19.65 would have been for just a little more than 5 gallons of gas. On June 3, Arias said she bought a 5 gallon gas can for a Wal-Mart in Salinas, but took it back. Martinez said that the Wal-Mart has no record of anyone returning a gas can on that day.

Martinez asked, "How much was the price per gallon that you bought that day?"

Arias said, "$3.859"

Martinez said, "If you take this amount per gallon, $3.859, and you divide it into this amount of $19.65 do you know how much, what that division would indicate? Would it surprise you that it would indicate that it’s 5.09?"

There IS a word edify ...meaning educate. Beth K. was wrong.

The word edify goes deeper than just to educate, but to educate in a moral sense that takes effect. The definition in Merriam-Webster says: "to instruct and improve especially in moral and religious knowledge: uplift; also: enlighten, inform...."

In the 'Biblical' sense, in 1 Cor 10:23 it talks about all things being lawful but all things not necessarily being edifying (morally good or uplifting) to us.

When Jodi spoke of edifying Travis I believe she meant it and probably only knew it in the religious or Biblical sense, meaning that she said things that edified Travis (uplifted him in the eyes of others and spoke well of him). I don't know what Beth Karras meant when she insisted that the word should have been re-edify.

To use the word in a sentence I might say that someone may lawfully show porn to children but it's sure not edifying (morally uplifting) to them.

(Edify in the original Greek means to build up in a moral sense....to grow in wisdom and piety, etc.) Ex: "The man was edified by learning and practicing the moral laws of God." "She edified (uplifted) the man in the eyes of others."

Jodi might have edified Travis at times, making him look good in the eyes of others, but she also maligned his name when she accused him of being a pedophile.

Thanks. There were server problems. I suspect that for a while trying to access was linking to two different servers. One worked OK (you and me) the other gave error message (kj and Joni). Also mail went to dead server.. so I never got all the complaints from people who had problems... and that is lost I never will see it

I can't let this just go by! Jodi, for being so obviously intelligent and well-spoken is LYING again when asked WHY she didn't just admit what she did if she did it in self-defense. She said she believed that killing was WRONG in all circumstances, even in self-defense. That is not logical thinking AT ALL. Everyone knows that SELF-DEFENSE is a PERFECTLY JUSTIFIABLE REASON TO KILL. (She also added that she didn't consider what society would think about it....which means she KNEW what society thought about someone's killing in self-defense!!!)

Yes, Joni, Juan is trying hard to catch Jodi contradicting herself (lying!). I've never known of or seen a trial where I've seen someone lie so much. I'm not sure any of her answers have been the truth yet. They say that pathological liars lie when the truth would serve them better. That's how I feel about Jodi. Why doesn't she just go ahead and confess one fault or two? Sure wouldn't hurt! Oh I forgot...she does fault herself for being too loving, too caring, too responsible....that sort of thing! LOL

OF COURSE Travis would have told his roommates if he had a LOADED GUN in the closet!!!!!! It would have been highly irresponsible if he hadn't. Well he didn't....because he never owned a gun. The Mask of Sanity....the lady on Dr. Drew just said that these people like Jodi study people to know what 'normal' behavior is. I think that's a trait of those with Asperger's Syndrome but I'm not sure. But can you imagine not knowing how to just act like a normal human being? How does a person get that way?
