Within what we might call the range of "normal" .....Intelligence and insanity are not mutually exclusive.

And short of what we might call a "psychiatric" condition... psychological and personality "disorders" can manifest at any level of intelligence. One caveat is that highly intelligent people are in some cases able to hide their true nature and "put on an act"

Certainly basic intelligence .... as far as you can measure it at all (eg in IQ tests) is a separate metric.


FWIW I would say Jodi (and Casey Anthony) show intelligence... high level of cunning and an active brain at the very least.

But both show an over sense of self and a lack of empathy. I DO NOT like using psychological labels (such as narcissist, sociopath etc). The words are over used, and misused by message forum posters.. who have no idea what they are talking about.... and besides.. as I have indicated... individuals can have have all sorts of combinations of thoughts and behaviour... sticking a psychological label on somebody is far too simplistic.... for instance.. a person with strong sense of self may be labelled a "narcissist" and BAD.. not caring of others....... in one sense..... or perhaps just self confident, focused. Perhaps a talented musician or writer.. an asset to society. Labels often show more about the person doing the labelling
