Seeing reviews of yesterday now on InSession. She is toying with Juan, making him work SO HARD for every single answer. (This could go on 3 weeks maybe?) Smiling, having that "getting over - duping them" face. I pray the jury "gets it"! Surely ONE of them will notice it and bring it up during their discussions! Fingers crossed!

I wonder about the twisted, evil, insane "look" poor Travis was seeing, and what he was "hearing" before he died. He KNEW he was being murdered for sure, during the killing. I think the cause of death was bleeding out. I think that didn't happen in 1 minute. He did travel to the sink, hallway, trying to get away from her. He knew ...

That poor guy's mental agony ... not to mention his physical pain from 29 knife wounds plus, her almost beheading of him. I can almost visualize that twisted evil face while murdering him, and hear her words screaming ... "You think you are going to Can Cun without me? You think you can just delete me from your life??? Really??"

They said she cut her wrist a little, and it HURT... so she stopped. Imagine the GASHES all over Travis' body and HOW MUCH THEY ALL HURT!! I saw knife wounds in the back of his skull too.

When yesterday was over, she went to her Defense's table. She put her hands up to her throat. One of the experts said that is a sign of I am losing ... I'm in bad shape. Worried.

Been trying not to get sucked into this case, but after a friend emailed me begging me to watch, I began a crash course this weekend, starting with Jodi's direct examination and the first day of cross! Cannot wait until Monday! I am absolutely in awe of how she is handling that fiery prosecutor! She's as cool as a cucumber, that one! She held her own and I believe she is THE PERFECT witness! Anyone planning to testify should watch her tapes!

Thanks for all the additional information. I do believe I read that Travis was lying there dead for hours (she locked his bedroom door and put up the guard gates for the dog), so you're probably correct about his bleeding out.

29 stab wounds is unreal and to me, clear that it was not self-defense. There was also a gunshot, right? I mean, if a woman did this in self-defense, she would have stopped when he finally stopped and run and gotten help - not continuing on with such over-kill.

Don't throw anything, but I do think she is very smart. Quite evil and cunning, too.

I cannot imagine sitting in that courtroom listening to that recorded phone call. Whew!

I completely agree with you about Juan starting out a bit too strong. I am impressed with her proficiency on the witness stand. Juan will only win a conviction against the cool cucumber Jodi due to having irrefutable facts. If this were a circumstantial evidence case, he wouldn't have a chance at convicting her, in my opinion - she's THAT good.

RT I can't see why their "sex" is important at all to this trial, unless she is trying relentlessly to try to convince the jury that Travis was a pedophile. Even that is no reason for HER to kill him. I believe she just wants a Free Pass - maybe even a REWARD for killing such a creature? How filthy she and her team are!

Here you go, Rumpole.....make sure you have your headphones on. This Part One of Day 17 video starts out with the judge explaning that the family has agreed to be present while they hear the audio (the victim, Travis Alexander's family - the 2 girls and guy they show) and I read that on the defendant's side, the brother and the father both decided not to be present during the playing of the recording (wise decision on their part).

When finished, I almost expected the judge to say, "I'll have whatever she's having...."

As far as the sex, it is really completely irrelevant to the murder. Jodi was a nympho and I don't believe Travis was any kind of saint - although he did say on the recording that he hadn't done "certain things" (he actually uses the graphic language) until he met Jodi.

People believe Jodi made these recordings in order to play for any future girlfriend Travis might think about marrying. Travis was very Mormon and being virginal for both men and women sex is an important aspect. Jodi was "baptized" by Travis into the Mormon religion. Apparently, he did some "self-help" speaking gigs. From the testimony and hearing Travis himself on the recording, and like I said, I don't think he was any kind of Saint - he held it together on the outside, but deep down...... (it goes without saying that he did not deserve to be murdered!)

From what I have been able to discern, I stand to be corrected, Jodi's parents were well off with many restaurants and then later had financial problems. She became a real problem teenager and left her parent's home, etc.

I think she is coming off as a cool, collected PSYCHO.

None - Rump... as far as I can see. Just a smoke screen/vehicle used to TRY to humanize her and let the jury get to know her. (I HOPE they DID!!!)

I think Jodi is a world class nympho! She helped awaken a semi-sleeping lion in Travis. He was trying I think, to be true to his religion. She is highly DISTURBED, I think.

.....Is not meant to be recorded and played back... it's often too silly when played back.. certainly played back in a public court room.

What people do and say in the context of "sex" I imagine is especially very silly for most people. More so if one or both of them is drinking.

But... I think just daily life in general may well come across as "silly" if recorded and played out of context.

An illustration I recall is from when my kids were little.
When we visited my parents, my Mum would often leave a tape recorder running.. just to catch cute things the kids said. Some of that was very cute.. but the tape also captured a lot of normal "adult" conversation.. around the dinner table etc.. and that was at times "cringe making" on playback... nothing too bad.. just it can all sound pompous and silly in playback.

I find these sexy recordings embarrassing... not for the sex content (every man to his own), but from the point of view that ANY normal conversation is not phrased in a way that you would if you set out to record or write it down.
