Did some searching around for myself. Have some salmon here and wondered about Lilly. I can give it to Lucy (Beagle) twice a week - a TBS. Read notes on the right of this one.

And - we should have this number handy - the SPCA Animal Poison Control Center.
888 - 426 - 4435

Your babies are so cute, Kjnelson.

Thanks for sharing about the raw eggs, Mal. I didn't know that it would affect our pets.

Packy and MM ...

I think the Holistic thing is soooo natural. They want me to grind the vegetables too. I do. Small food processor. They say in the wild they would eat the contents of other animals stomachs ... and it would be all ground/chewed up. I guess eggs would be raw too, but not going to risk that for my girls.

Not sure what Homeopathy is. Have to see what that is. But - my Lucy honey lamb is doing well. She even started running sometimes in here. (She is about 93). I couldn't believe it! Must be feeling optimum. Now ... a check up for her, and checking the tumor size too. Please pray if you do so ... thanks.

I Love Lucy :DN4 (and she loves me... we're as happy as we can be...) :81

GOOD NEWS! Lucy's tumor has been watched for 4 months. Hasn't grown any. We don't know if it is cancer,
like the one on her corresponding breast, last year. She had surgery for that.

She is doing really well with the Holistic Vet. Her tumor hasn't grown in 4 months. YEAAAAA! I have never seen her so alert, lively, healthy looking even at 92 - her age they think. Once when first starting that diet even got down into "You wanna play with me?" stance. I couldn't believe it. Even ran around the place a few times. ALL SO NEW.

Here is a site that you can find a Holistic Vet in your area if you wish. Might be worth a consultation?
http://www.ahvma.org

She told me feeding them only kibble would be like our living solely on Power Bars. They need meat, fresh vegetables, etc.

Lucy has a heart murmur now and since it hasn't gotten better, she is changing her vitamins to include one that will help her heart. She expects Lucy to live ... for more years.

She was very sensitive to Lucy - helping her change her diet over - gradually. This last time she introduced their special meat. Lucy is completely weaned from KIBBLE now. YEAAAAAAAAAAA~!

I think if our roles were reversed, they would do that for us! :86 :84 :50

Hi Joni

Great news about Lucy :91 :81

Probably having a cat in the house is good for her? :8

Hi R. It might do Lucy good having Lilly. I think they like each other but seldom any interaction.
Sometimes Lilly swats (is it) or is she just saying hello and touching her, like I do both of them?
Lucy sometimes screams... she must get hurt. I must keep Lilly's nails cut!!

IS SHE saying hello, petting her like I do them when THEY walk by, or is she swatting her? Are the nails out to hurt Lucy? Does Lilly have to deliberately do something to make her nails come out?

Ha ha sometimes I wonder what is actually going on ... behind those eyes. :1
I never have to "guess" with Lucy. :81 :23

My Tiger doesn't use his claws with Kacie when he swats at her. I don't even think his paw has ever made contact, although sometimes he swats me when I walk away! :84

I think he's annoyed when he does it, but he might also be playing? :8

Hm ... then it is a mystery. They have a choice of "using their claws" then, or not? Push them out?
Lilly then must be choosing to do that to Lucy. I think she did that once or twice only with me. Didn't even make contact, like you said MM.

They sure have us confused ... don't they? (OR maybe only me? lol)

Are there any good books on this? I should :75 ???
R. told me what that meant!! :31

Yes, but unfortunately men rarely read the manuals! :43

I think they do it because they are frightened and want the person or animal that is threatening to them to back off. I think they can control the claws, but maybe if they are scared they come out automatically?

You can probably Google it. Image

Forgot about that ... just google it. Thanks!! :23 Lot going on here.

Lucy just walks by going to her chair or water bowl, or to look out the double doors, and that's when Lilly does it. Lucy isn't doing a thing but being a ship - - passing in the night. :81

MM oh good. Just saying "Hi there"?

I pet them each when I can, when they pass my chair, etc. Maybe she learned from me.
But I don't like the claws and Lucy YELLING sometimes. She never does that ... normally.

Whatever, warts and all, they both have a home. :86 I will trim her nails after dinner!

I need to trim Tiger's nails, but last time I tried, he escaped! I'll have to try again when he lets his guard down. :8

MM :28 I find the best time is when they have been sleeping on our laps ... tired... and there.
Maybe that will work better?

We are supposed to brush their teeth too, like dogs? OMG. That and a bath!

HEAD FOR THE HILLS!!!

MM I can't do front and back at one time. Too much. Often do the front.

I am trying to wean Lilly off kibble that she was used to eating. The Holistic Vet sold me some "topper"
that I put on her canned food to try to entice her.

When I hydrate Lucy's food, and let it "stand" for the 5 minutes - Lilly sometimes jumps up and starts eating it!
She seems to love it! I am going to talk to the Vet about that kind of healthy food for Lilly now too. :8

Pretty Baby :DN4

I am finding cats are sure fascinating creatures, aren't they? You don't have to figure out dogs.
